After buying a new truck, i needed to get the windows tinted. A coworker told me about this guy so i made the call, scheduled an appointment. Ill be honest, this joint is in a shady area. The shop is a garage type store front. The dude who runs it was very nice, offered water, and wasnt sketchy. Always a plus. Couple weeks later, my tint looks good, no issues and it came with a warranty. Although I didn't get my car tinted here, I do want to say I was pleased by my visit. I had come in to ask for a quote on my car for window tinting and the guy (didn't his name) came out with an honest opinion. My car was already tinted and he suggested I saved my money since it would be risky to take off the tint and apply a new one. He even advised me that it was best to leave it as it is so I don't end up getting a poor job done on my windows. Eleven years ago, I took my first car to Thomas for window tint. At the time he warrantied the tint for five years, but I had the car for seven and it was still perfect the day I traded it tin. There were no bubbles, no fade and other than how dark they were, you would never be able to tell I didn't get it directly from the factory like that. Fast forward to 2016 and I bought a new car in California. Of course, there was absolutely no tint on the car anywhere - even the rear windows. So we had to call Thomas. Keep in mind that since he is the BEST in Reno - he is usually booking out at least 4 -6 weeks especially at the beginning of summer. It's well worth the wait and driving around being blinded by the sun in the meantime. The location of the shop is a little shady, but Thomas is such a great guy, you completely forget about that. He has multiple products to choose from now and recently he started carrying tint with the carbon "stuff" in it. It costs $38 more for the entire vehicle but the carbon is supposed to last longer, be even more fade resistant and it helps deter heat better than the basic product. The warranty is now good for six years - what a deal! $38 and I won't have to re-tint ever! He had my car for just over six hours and when we picked it up, it looked even better than I hoped for! Remember - do not roll down your windows and be careful not to let your seat belt hit the windows for two days after tint. He also accepts credit cards now, but there is a 3% charge to use them so cash is best. Will I keep coming back to Thomas anytime I buy a car that needs tint? Absolutely! read more
