Being in the moment and listening to the chefs explain each dish was so exciting. Everything is locally caught and some flavored to perfection. Even the sake, high recommended to pair with the Japanese lager. Everything was perfect ! I had mentioned I don't eat dairy so I got a different dessert than my boyfriend. It was the most delicious ending to an epic meal. I honestly can't wait to get back home and tell all my friends and family about it. The place was right next to a tree covered by tree branches it was truly a beautiful design. The server and chefs were so kind and well informed. Really tied in the experience.

We arrived at the location (tucked away) off the main road. Like a lot of the good things in Valle I suppose. We soon realized we were the only two dining with the chef this night. Which meant full attention full service just for the two of us. Talk about a treat. Our waiter mentioned how the omakase would work and soon started us with drinks and water. What came after was a dream, a full experience of tastes, and adventure, and exquisiteness. A really good selection of fish from the local Ensenada region. I was in awe every time a new dish come out. I lost count, and found myself trying to savor every moment every bite, and then having a moment of clarity and asking "what course are we on?" "how many are left?" I didn't worry to much as every single stage of omakase was magnificent, beautifully presented and something I highly suggest you do, if you have the opportunity to. If you get lucky and end of being the only customers for night, take advantage of it. As, opportunities like this, are rare. TOSHI is the best!

I am only giving three stars because of our waitress - she was great. Other than that, the food…read morewas meh. The veggies in my mixed tempura were not ripe so the veggies I had were raw/crunchy - when they should be soft and tender to consume. This is basically a date night place or where Influencers go to hang out. Definitely not going back because you also have to pay for parking. Spend your hard earned dining dollars on a mom and pop shop where parking is free instead!

It's a small place so highly recommend putting a reservation down. I started with the Katana Collins, which was very light and refreshing. For appetizers, we got Garlic Edamame and Miyazaki Wagyu Dumplings, which just melted in our mouths. We got a few things between the 4 of us and we all loved our food. I ended up getting the Bluefin Four Ways and it was TO DIE FOR! I didn't even know you could get toro 4 different ways and I honestly enjoyed every way. I also really enjoyed the Unagi (Eel) Nigiri as it was perfectly cooked and such good quality fish. The dessert they brought out for my birthday was very cute and light. I thought it was exactly what we needed after the delicious meal we had. I honestly don't think you could go wrong with anything you get from here. This is definitely my new fave fancy sushi place!

(3/5) * Modern sushi…read morespot with some Japanese-inspired décor. Bar area with Japanese liquors displayed when you walk in. Table seating only; no booths. * Menu is accessed by scanning a QR code. Personally, I prefer a physical menu so I can see everything at once instead of being on my phone during dinner. * Service was slow with only one waitress working. Long waits for drinks, ordering, and follow-up service. * Lemonade was disappointing--very bitter and tasted more like watered-down lemon juice. * Sushi rolls looked good and were decent overall. * Udon bowl was huge but only filled about - 1/2 of the way. Portion size didn't match the price. Taste was okay, but the kid said hes had way better. The fish cakes were definitely the highlight. * Tempura was good, but I was disappointed because the menu description led me to expect something different than what was served. * Spicy salmon hand roll was just okay. * After mentioning confusion about my order, our waitress never checked back, refilled drinks, or followed up with our table. * Asked about available discounts (military, AAA, etc.) and was quickly told no before I could finish asking. * Best part of the evening? The adorable baby at the table next to us who provided the only entertainment. Overall: The food was average with a few highlights, but the slow and inattentive service significantly impacted the experience. We still left a tip, but unfortunately, I don't think we'd rush back.

Moving on to the sushi. None of it was fresh, the rice was extremely chewy, and the flavors were lacking. Not to mention the cost was not worth it. The ONLY reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because of my service. She was attentive, helpful, and kind. Nothing too exceptional about the layout, but all in all I would not be going back.
