I have been interested in solar for years, but I was unsure how to begin. After meeting your representatives at the State Fair, I knew we were ready to invest in a renewable energy source. Seeing the rise in energy cost through natural gas and electricity, we were hoping to find a reliable alternative. We are now believes in solar energy provided by Renewable Energy Corporation. We have generated over 381,000 watts of energy equal to 126,917 AA batteries. After seeing the significant reduction in our energy bill for the past 3 months, I want to add more solar panels to our house. I can only imagine how low the bill will be when solar energy is at its highest energy output in the Summer. We know everyone should invest in their future and one major way is adding solar energy to a house. We know the biggest selling point to our house in 30 years will be our solar array. Since being introduced to Renewable energy I have bought two personal solar items for charging phones and small tablets. We will also be buying a fireplace insert to reduce our dependency on natural gas for heating our home. I have told many stories to my co-workers and several of them are looking to get their own solar array, solar attic fan, or solar water heaters from Renewable Energy Corporation soon. I religiously watched the amount of solar energy being produced every day. I have become very aware of the energy we use and the energy we save every day. The process was very easy and exciting. The solar technician installed our solar array in one day. I was shocked. It seemed quick and easy for him. We will continue to install solar panels every year until we see a zero on our bill. I want to thank Jennifer for explaining the paper work for the Maryland Grant, BGE, iSEC, and the federal tax credit. I would have stumbled doing the paper work without her guidance. The Renewable Energy Corporation does it all for you. I am sure they are the best company in the solar business because they have the best installers and the best customer service. When we retire in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, we will need the solar kings and queens of the business to install our final solar array on our new beach home. Out of all the repairs and installation we have had at our house, this was the most exciting and seamless of them all. Talking to the President of the company really put Renewable Energy Corporation over the top. We have never met the President of any other company ever. I guess the other corporations can't make the time like he did. After talking to him I felt a sense of peace about our decision. Joining Renewable Energy Corporation through the generation of solar electricity, felt like joining a family. We are completely satisfied with the beginning, middle, and end of the process and look forward to many more interactions and installation in the future. I decided to buy solar panels for two reasons; first, I wanted to support clean Renewable Energy. In addition to solar panels, I also own an electric car and I am trying to reduce my carbon footprint. Second, I wanted to reduce my monthly living expenses. My son used Renewable Energy and I know he did a lot of research before he picked a company. I decided to follow in his footsteps. I was very happy that I did. They are a great company. First, they did a full ROI and assessment to make sure it made sense for my house. They examined my electric bill and did studies on my roof to determine where I can have the best result. In addition, Renewable Energy uses all American made panels, warranties it for 25 years and most importantly, their system has inverters on the roof to provide the most efficient conversion from DC to AC. I would not want to use a company where you don't own the panels, then I am just buying electric from them instead of the electric company. They scheduled an install for me, and showed up on time with a whole crew to do the work. When it came time for the county inspection, they sent someone to my house who sat in their car most of the day to wait for the inspector. They wanted to make sure the job was right. In addition, the prefilled most of the paperwork (they can't sign for me) for my Maryland Grant, my Baltimore County Grant, the paperwork needed for a net meter and to get setup for SRECs. When the net meter was installed, I did have an issue, but they came out the next day and took care of it. I measure a company by how well they do when everything is not perfect. I am now generating my own electric, reducing my monthly bills. I am even charging my car off of clean energy. In addition, shortly, I should be able to sell SRECs which will also reduce my monthly expenses. I highly recommend Renewable Energy. They make the process easy, do a quality job with quality material and make sure you get all of the grants and rebates that you are eligible for. read more

My experience was similar to some of the other highly rated experiences. And at the same time I recognize some of the pressure sales experience mentioned by others. Some of it felt like buying a car, but in the end I got the price I was willing to pay for the system I wanted. I invited Renewable Energy to give me a proposal for a solar panel installation after doing some initial research. The sales analyst they sent walked through the economics of the project, with which I had some familiarity. When it came time to talk dollars he started with a big number and I told him what I was willing to pay. He was able to meet my expectations using a combination of Federal tax credits and other "considerations" approved by the company owner. They also offered financing at a rate similar to student loan rates, which I am familiar with. When it came time for installation, they showed me research and installed panels on that portion of the roof that would get the most sun. They would have located them elsewhere if I had wanted. The installation was as professional and neat as I could expect. All aspects of permitting are included in the price and handled by them. Everyone from the company owner to the receptionist to the installation and sales teams have been personable, polite, and professional. As with any major purchase in a competitive economy it is best to do research into prices and options before you invite them in to make their proposal. read more

I very much enjoyed working with Renewable Energy Corporation (NEC) on my solar installation. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable. We had some weather issues that impacted the install, but they were very flexible in working around that and finishing the work on time. They did not skimp on materials. My array is on my disconnected garage so there was some concern about where different inspectors might want cut-offs, so they installed 3 to make sure there would be no issue. And the circuit they installed between the house and garage has plenty of capacity for future growth, about 5 times. The whole process was fairly quick. I believe it came in under three months from the initial sales call to energizing the system. I started the process a couple months after my sister started the process of installing solar on her house and my system went live a couple of months before hers! Now almost 2 years after the install (which by the way is running great) I called looking for some information about a totally unrelated system in another state and it was a tough question so they said they'd have to get back to me. In practically no time the vice president called me to give me the information he was able to find based on his research! Good people! read more

After many months of researching various companies and solar products, I decided to have Renewable Energy in Timonium, MD install their panels on my house in May of 2012. This was a sound decision based their solar panels superior construction and energy production. Two years later, September 2014, I added 12 more panels, now having 20 total. The new panels produce more electricity due to technology improvements. I like owning the panels rather than leasing. They are part of the house permanently with a life long warranty. Great selling point if I sell the house. Renewable Energy has lived up to all of my expectations on this major project. Any question or problem I have had were addressed quickly and satisfactorily. Our experience with RENEWABLE ENERGY CORPORATION has been extremely gratifying from the time we called for information thru the many times we called for additional information. We had made a conscious decision to apply solar to our new home. We would not rent or lease but buy outright and maintain total control. Hit a Grand Slam Home Run - Two Sets of Solar Panels and a Removal and Re-Install of Solar Panels (Roof Replacement). Highly recommend... The Renewable Energy crew has been just fantastic! First they installed 12 panels and then we added 8 more panels. Both times the installation crew was professional, efficient, and timely. If you need a solar panel installation company, Renewable Energy is the one and only to go with. Then when Mother Nature helped us to "replace our roof", the Renewable Energy technicians did a wonderful job, coordinating with the roofing contractor and the HOA. I am not an REC customer, but sure wish I was! After experiencing an inverter problem with our 15-year-old system and no call-backs from our original company, as well as wanting to install a back-up battery system, I called REC to see if they could help me. I had a long and productive conversation with Andrew who patiently explained the difficulties many companies have in dealing with 15-year old systems for which they are not licensed to install or repair. He went through my options, gave me advice on who to call and what to expect given the age of our system. This was a near 20 minute call, and he couldn't have been nicer, or more professional. Renewable Energy installed our solar panels in 2016 and we enjoyed the benefit of reduced energy bills. After receiving notification that the Enphase envoy was no longer reporting, we contacted Renewable Energy and they responded in a timely manner with a service repair. The problem was solved by replacing some electrical wiring and all panels are now working and expect savings to continue. I politely told him that I installed solar through another company last summer. To which he responded, "Well, did you think about calling me back before signing up with them?"
