I had a new boiler system installed in January of 2025. My house was previously heated with electric baseboards. Tim came out to assess the home and make a recommendation on the best heating system for our place. A couple weeks later the crew came out and did the install. There were 5-6 techs here for a few full days. These guys were very professional and very good at what they do. I can't thank the management and crew at Rene's Repair enough, final product works great, looks great, and has dramatically lowered my electric bills. Every step of the way there was someone available to take my calls and respond to questions over the phone or in person. I don't know about some of these other reviews from a few years ago but these guys are a well oiled machine today, and I highly recommend them to anyone needing any kind of repairs or system upgrades from a leaky sink to HVAC to Electrical! The technicians are fine. The problem is this is a big company, the owners are not reputable. I don't trust them. Take your hard-earned money to a company that deserves your business. read more

We had a vanity installed by them in late spring of 2022 and this started leaking within 6 months of installation. We called to have them come fix the issue stemming from their installation and the appointment was rescheduled the night before. We adjusted our schedules to be home for the service, that should have been at noon today. We attempted to contact them and had to make multiple calls to receive the news they were "running behind at a previous appointment." We received a call, over an hour past the appointment time, canceling the appointment. Absolutely unacceptable and never again. read more

In October, 2020, we called Rene's to fix a Fujitsu mini-split that was not working. The technician told us that it needed a part. They ordered the part and returned to install it. The unit was still not heating, but the tech told us it would take a few days for it to start working. We were skeptical, but paid the $462 bill. After a week, with the unit still not heating, we called them. Steve Guay came out, fiddled with it a while and left. Still not working. We called again, they came out again and said they would have to order a valve, then take the unit to the shop for repair. We waited for almost two months, then called again. We were assured that Steve would return our call. We called again one month later and were assured, once again, he would return our call. After a third call with no return in July of 2021, we realized that we would get no return call. We called another local company in early October. They came, found that the refrigerant had all leaked out due to damage on the fill valve, where a gauge is attached to check the refrigerant. He recharged the refrigerant and the unit started working right away. UPDATE: Ed, from Rene's called me to resolve this issue. He indicated there had been a breakdown in communication and he wanted to make it right. They sent a check to reimburse me for the cost of the repairs that did not work. This company was fantastic with the install of our Rinnai Furnace in our Lake Home back in December 2013. The team was flexible and worked with us when we had to make changes to our schedule on TWO separate occasions (during their busy time of the year). We were so appreciative of their great customer service and support during the install process. They also installed two 100 gallon propane drums to be serviced by MX FUELS. They worked quickly and charged a very fair labor charge. I would highly recommend this company to take care of your heating needs! read more

no one returns calls. i have called 3 time and left messages, still waiting to hear. so i have found someone new to do the work i want done.

Extremely responsive and helpful. NYSEG delayed connection of my natural gas so long I decided to move forward with propane as the temperatures were dropping quickly. Rene's was referred to me through MX Fuels and were on site and had me running within 48 hours! Unfortunately there was an issue with a part in the new furnace and when I called Rene's to come take a look they again were here on the SAME DAY and worked 4 hours to find the problem. I cannot honestly say enough about the pleasant and fast service this company provides. I've heard nightmares of crazy charges and terrible worker attitudes with other local places but you will not find that with this team. read more
