July 10, 2023 Underhill, VT. We had a clog in the main drain line leading from the house to the septic tank. This has been a repeated problem that we had previously used a larger, and perhaps more well known, septic service company - had used them multiple times. That company had augered that line but the problem with that clogged line kept repeating itself resulting in multiple, repeat calls, spanning about five years. The line clogged again this past Saturday and, after looking around and talking to a local, smaller septic service company but it turned out they did not provide augering services - however, they recommended Bo. I contacted Bo Sunday morning and he said he could come out onSunday or on Monday morning. Fortunately we have a greywater option so with the exception of the toilets, we could continue to wash, shower, etc. so we decided on Monday at 10 AM. Bo and Tim showed up about 20 minutes early (how often does that happen!!??) and immediately augered the line AND found the problem that was causing our repeated clogging - an 8 foot piece of 1" PVC pipe that had previously been used to plunge the line but had somehow broken off and had been lying horizontally in the bottom of the 4 inch drain pipe for years. Bo reached in and pulled it out, reaugered the line and sealed everything back up. Total time at our home was less than an hour! I am 100% convinced that our longstanding, chronic line plugging is now resolved. With that pipe section removed it can no longer snag waste debris and build up material (leading to a clog) going to the septic tank. AGAIN - and worth noting - this problem had been a chronic one and another company had repeatedly augered our line over multiple years without finding the cause for the problem. Bo and Tim did - and in about the 15 minutes! In addition, both of them were a pleasure to talk with about a number of issues - not plumbing or septic service related! Very friendly and truly a delight to deal with. For any needs that Bo's service can provide to us in the future, we will 100% be using them. My kitchen sink clogged over a holiday weekend. I did my best to unclog it myself and even snaked it 25 feet. Unable to clear the clog myself, I called Bo and left a message hoping to be among the first in line at the start of the new week. I wasn't disappointed. Bo called me at 7:30AM ready to schedule a time the SAME DAY to stop by to assist. We agreed on a time, Bo gave me an estimate of the costs. I asked about paying with a credit card, Bo told me upfront of an added fee for credit card payments so there was no surprise.
