Wow. I wish there was an option for ZERO stars. I just called Renee to kindly inquire about potentially grooming our pup for our wedding in September 2021 in the Montana area. She was nothing but extremely rude, hostile and defensive. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR allow such a person handle your family pups. I thought it would be a lovely conversation, I even mentioned proactively I knew that I was asking her to go out of her Bozeman "service area" and would be happy to pay a premium for her time, service and travel. She IMMEDIATELY was rude, defensive and said it would be a waste of her time, she no longer travels, and traveling would be a waste of her time and money (when I would be happy to compensate for her time). Even after she started off rude, I thought I would be kind to ask if there was a price that she would be willing since she was a self-proclaimed last traveling groomer in the area. She spit balled $500 which is a lot but we would have been happy to discuss further. When I began to respond, she rudely interrupted again and I knew I would NEVER trust someone that is this angry / rude to a brand new customer after being nothing but kind with my beloved dog that we are willing to pay good money to be groomed for our wedding. Absolutely astonished, animal lovers are usually much kinder. Good luck Renee, I would NEVER let you within 10 feet of my pets. read more

This groomer was incredibly unprofessional and rude to my mom. She openly expressed disdain for other clients who had large dogs, and complained about providing services for them (the people who recommended her). It needs to be clear upfront that she doesn't intend on helping large dogs, and not to be rude and dismissive to clients investigating their options. Overall, an incredibly strange and off putting interaction. Spend your money on someone who values your dog and family. read more

I rescued a dog in June, but Renee had moved to MT right after, so I was unable to get my little Maximus groomed by her, until last week. She came back out to California to get her new mobile dog spa, so I eagerly awaited her return. Max is a poodle terrier mix, so his hair needs to be taken good care of to avoid matting. Plus, I like to keep it short because of my son's allergies. Well, Renee was awesome! Max was so calm with her, which was my concern, because he's been very scared of the whole experience in the past. Renee has so much experience and I knew it would be worth the wait. SO, we made an appointment, post Covid closure, in June for our July 17th once per year Summer hair cut for our dog's comfort. He is a bigger Border Collie. I explained ALL of the details, how old, how long since his last buzz cut, health, etc. The usual. He is very docile. I received the appointment and waited patiently for the appointment. My daughter drove to the location, and Renee asked her the same information that I gave her in detail in June. She "felt" the dog's fur, and started berating the dog to my daughter-too furry, too long since last haircut, that it can't stand (As it was standing there next to her!) because my daughter helped our dog out of the rig. These were pretty lame comments, since everything had been asked and answered, as stated, in June. SO then she flat out says NO, she isn't gonna groom the dog-too furry! I kinda thought that was what groomers were all about-defurring (cutting off the winter hair) of the dog! She was incredibly rude about it-the dog should have been groomed more, etc. Keep in mind that NO local groomers were open during Covid shutdown, and then now are all backed up 2-3 months since opening! But to be rude, then just walk away-after raising her voice, bizarre. She then called ME and did the same thing! Rudely telling me these same things, no apology, no suggestions, just angry tirading at me. Having been in business myself for 42 years in Montana, I was stunned at her incredible lack of professionalism! I thought, gosh, this is just not how Montana business owners succeed. Then upon looking at different sites reviews of her business,I see that she has done this same thing a number if times to folks with "furry dogs" that might me a lot of work! And, big surprise-she moved here 4 years ago....from California. Frankly, I know a lot of Californians, and she gives them a bad rap! So-if you have a furry dog-don't bother to call her! read more

This business doesn't even deserve a review. I brought my parents dog out to be groomed and the owner took one look at the dog and turned me away. My mom had this appointment for over a month and explained to the owner what she would like done, how big the dog was and when the last time he was groomed and she confirmed with everything when my mom made the appointment back in June and she turned me away as soon as she saw the dog today. Wanting something slightly more personal & specialized than I felt a chain pet store could offer, I turned to Yelp to see what else was available. Renee was the top rated groomer listed. Upon reading her reviews, I learned she was fairly new to the area, but had clients from both CA, & already MT, praising her abilities. I set up an appt, & she graciously answered all my questions. The day of the appt, she brought her mobile dog-spa trailer to my office, which was incredibly easy & convenient. She let me know she would do what she could, but wanted to take it easy so my puppy wouldn't be scared next time or have any issues. Had this "I'm just not going to deal with it attitude" As soon as she saw my dog a Wooly Siberian Husky she seemed to get flustered. Mentioned that it would take hours to properly groom him(hence why I hired a groomer). Being a Wooly he has 3 layers of fur instead of the 2 normal Huskies have. She kept saying it was matted and acted like I'm a horrible owner. I spend 2 hours every week brushing him it's just his coat. She was apparently so "done" with him (a wash, blow dry, & clipping 3 of his paws. No brushing) that she just let him run right out of her trailer. Luckily, he came right to my door(I live on Griffin Wich is a VERY busy road). Anyone who knows huskies or any other sled dog knows they will run off(something we call taking themselves for a walk). He was only in her trailer about 40 minutes. She said she couldn't deal with him anymore because of his crying. Once again, someone not familiar with Huskies and their mannerisms. AND she had cut his quick on multiple claws, no wonder he was crying. I'm upset at myself for even paying her $40 for the wash and blow dry. Something I do often myself at Dee o gee for $15. These pictures are from just after his 'grooming' there is still mud on him... As someone who was splurging on my dog for a job well done I am very dissatisfied. read more

I had a pretty upsetting experience with Renee. When I was unable to make it to an appointment due to an unforeseen issue with my work, I canceled as soon as I knew and apologized. Renee didn't like this at all. She made me feel horrible and as if I had cost her thousands of dollars in revenue. When I tried to reschedule, she continued to give me trouble about not giving her enough notice (despite never having said she needed 24 hours cancellation notice when I scheduled the appointment). As her anger increased, I calmly suggested that maybe I should not reschedule for another time--and I was going to offer to pay a cancellation fee, but Renee hung up on me before I could complete my sentence. read more
