We have been taking our dog to be groomed every six weeks for the last three years. We moved here…read morethis year and tried this place based on reviews. We have been four times. Each time is very rushed. We get a bath and full body cut with teeth brushing and nail trim. We have always expected a decent grooming to be at least an hour and a half for these services at various groomers. Our dog has never had a single complaint from a groomer and they always say how much they love him. Dee-O-Gee rushes through in 45 minutes. As a result, our dog is not as soft or cleanly shaved as other groomers. His behavior is also very unusual after we pick him up, like he is unusually scared. In November, the groomer told us he needed "too much reassurance" while being groomed and she was not sure if he was welcome back in the future. Not sure a groomer, and not a manager, has the authority to ban a dog based on her personal opinion. She was unable to tell us what went wrong when we asked and then offered to groom him at his next appointment. Very confusing! At today's appointment we were scolded upon pickup and told he pooped at the end. He has never done this in three years and something was clearly wrong. I'm sorry, but I'm also not sure what the groomer wanted me to do after the fact. She just felt compelled to scold me about it for several minutes in front of other customers and staff. Very condescending treatment from groomers who should be prepared to work with dogs of all types. Will not be back.

Second, everything works as it should, the water pressure is great, the water is even heated, and it has plenty of amenities (even towels to dry the car off). And it's self service without excessive costs. So five stars.

She is blow dried by hand and not put in a drying cage, which helps Pippa to feel more uncomfortable. Andie has helped us to help Pippa have better grooming practices and behavior to aid her when she visits. She goes in almost weekly to have her ponytail and bow fixed because she doesn't let mom do it yet, but Andie's helping her with that too. Andie always recognizes Pippa and remembers her name and Pippa gives her tons of love and kisses even though she hates the groomer. Pippa has never looked better, even after visiting many extremely expensive "fancy" "master" groomers in Dallas. I can not recommend Andie's Paws and Claws enough, she's AMAZING!
