We have been taking our dog to be groomed every six weeks for the last three years. We moved here this year and tried this place based on reviews. We have been four times. Each time is very rushed. We get a bath and full body cut with teeth brushing and nail trim. We have always expected a decent grooming to be at least an hour and a half for these services at various groomers. Our dog has never had a single complaint from a groomer and they always say how much they love him. Dee-O-Gee rushes through in 45 minutes. As a result, our dog is not as soft or cleanly shaved as other groomers. His behavior is also very unusual after we pick him up, like he is unusually scared. In November, the groomer told us he needed "too much reassurance" while being groomed and she was not sure if he was welcome back in the future. Not sure a groomer, and not a manager, has the authority to ban a dog based on her personal opinion. She was unable to tell us what went wrong when we asked and then offered to groom him at his next appointment. Very confusing! At today's appointment we were scolded upon pickup and told he pooped at the end. He has never done this in three years and something was clearly wrong. I'm sorry, but I'm also not sure what the groomer wanted me to do after the fact. She just felt compelled to scold me about it for several minutes in front of other customers and staff. Very condescending treatment from groomers who should be prepared to work with dogs of all types. Will not be back. read more

What a wonderful cute little dog shop with a grooming salon and dog wash area. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I needed doggie booties as my dogs paws are so sensitive to the cold. He was fitted and we have no problems at all with his feet now. read more

My dog and I had such a great visit! It's so hard finding frozen treats for pups and they had the best variety!! It was pretty busy while we were there; check out was long. Staff was friendly. I've taken my 8-lb long-haired mini dachshund to Dee-O-Gee many times for grooming over the past 6 years. They've always done a great job. He comes home so soft and shiny. However, the last 2 times have gone wrong. Last time they cut his ear, and this time, they shaved a 2" square out of his back. Right smack dab in the middle, so it can't be hidden. She apologized, but I still paid full price. I'll give them one more try, but this is pretty disappointing. read more

We have been to this groomer several times and have never had a problem. However this time and $185 later my dogs looked like they where cut by a child. The haircuts where uneven, their nails where not cut and furthermore they where not cut to their breed. To say I am disappointed is mild If you go here be specific and a matter of fact to your needs. I make it a point to find local, independent pet stores where ever I go. In need of day care for my pup, I called Dee-O-Gee...no return call. When I visited the store in person the young lady working the counter seemed too busy to answer my questions even though I was the only one there.. She explained to me that I had to "fill out the required on-line form". When I said "I'm right here...can I fill it out now". She said "we really prefer you do it on-line". She also explained that my dog would need to "schedule an appointment with the day-care attendant" before they could take my dog in "assuming he has his up-to-date vaccinations". I looked over and spotted the day care attendant mopping the floor of a 10' X 20' room (approximate). I thought to myself...maybe the hard mopping attendant could "assess my dog right now". The clerk responded "thats impossible". Dog-O-Gee seems to have a nice selection of premium products albeit over-priced compared to other stores. But I like good, friendly service, in fact I demand it. Thats why I'll never visit Dog-O-Gee again. read more

This was a great little pet shop, we took our dog there for a quick bath and toenail cut. The staff was fantastic and made our fur baby feel comfortable (we don't do this often). They did a great job with bathing but were unable to cut our dogs nails due to him being to big and not letting them. We have had trouble with this since we got him. The shop was fantastic, plenty of options for food and treats for you animals and they offer a doggy daycare service as well. Overall this is a good place for dog grooming our only downfall was them not being able to cut the toenails. read more

This is an adorable natural dog food and supply store (they also do grooming) in downtown Bozeman. I've been feeling guilty about my trips to Target and other big box stores since I've been in Montana, and I just couldn't bring myself to patronize PetSmart. I decided to check out Dee-O-Gee, and I was glad I did. They carry a lot of neat products, included beds made from recycled materials, and environmentally-friendly chew toys. If I was rich, I would clear out their stock of stylish collars and leashes, and treat my pups to gourmet dog cookies. Their prices seemed very reasonable for what they are selling - which is mainly high-end merchandise and food for dogs. I wish I could've splurged a little more, but I managed to restrain myself and just walk out with a bag of kibble. read more

My Daisy was super happy when I got her but I was disappointed in how wet her under coat was and still had hair falling out like she just had a quick brush instead. Took my boxer here and everyone was super friendly. They were all very nice and helpful...they gave her treats on arrival and were accommodating to her specific food allergies. Was nice taking her to a local groomer instead of the giant pets mart. She got more personal attention and looked and smelled good after I picked her up. The price and service was excellent. They sell cheap product that they do not stand behind. If you are a boutique store you should sell quality product and you should also stand behind it. I bought Dee-O-Gee branded a dog collar that didn't last 6 months before the stitching came out and it fell apart.
