There is Truck Net which mostly trucks use and there is Valero. This is one of the cheapest gas you will find in San Diego. If you pay cash you get anywhere from $0.05-$0.15 saving per gallon compared to their credit card pricing. BUT now a days who really carries cash for gas right? So is it worth it if you get gas with credit card? YES! IT still is one of the cheapest places to get gas even with credit card. It's very convenient for those that work in Otay Mesa and have to use 905 freeway which I figure is about 99%. You get some cheap gas and jump on the freeway and off you go ~~~~ Cheap gas does not equal bad gas. I believe Valero is a chain and they use all same gas at all their chains and Valero by my house is a lot expensive. So I think I get the same gas at $0.30 cheaper than I would by my house... So it's a winner in my book.

Much easier to scoot on by the Golden Acorn up on the hill knowing that this station and convenience store exists. Easy to operate pumps. We have never been there when all the pumps were taken. Fantastic store inside chock full of snacks and drinks. Very clean restrooms. This is a perfect place to hit the restroom and fill your tank after making it through the mountains on your way to San Diego or the perfect place to fill up your tank and hit the restroom before heading into the mountains on your way to Arizona. We have always gotten friendly and fast service from the employees. I suggest you give them a shot. It may change the way you approach San Diego, or the way you leave it.

I had plenty of missed spots and water running down my car the one time I went there. But what bugs me a lot is the beer prices; or lack thereof. They have probably over 40 kinds of beer and in different sizes and packs, but only about 5-7 stickers on the glass displaying the price. That means if you want to know the price, you have to ask the cashier to guess for you or scan it. So what if they are busy or you don't want to ask the cashier to scan 5 or 6 beers to see which one you want to go with, you're left in an uncomfortable position that you should t be in. Just have prices visible like everyone else. Why does this bother me so much? Because I am often not sure which one I want and if I'm split between 2-3 beers, I'll just get the cheapest one and save myself a couple bucks. So here's what's happened in the past. I asked the cashier to check a few prices and they were all higher than what everyone else would sell the same ones for and I chose whatever. Doesn't matter. It was expensive and I was in a hurry so that's it. Another time I just chose a cheap Mexican beer that I thought would be good with the food I ordered somewhere and went to check out. It was like $10 for a six pack. Everywhere else it would be like $6-8. Circle K, Seven 11, you name it. But what sucks is that I knew I was getting a cheap beer, I waited in line expecting to pay $8 at the very most, and it was like $10. Maybe with tax. This is annoying to me and feels like they are being dishonest by not displaying the price. Maybe they think people won't notice because they are getting other items and maybe gas and are in a hurry. But I pay at the pump and I'm usually just going inside for beer and nothing else. I'm trying to avoid the line at Target. Okay, I see this has turned into a rant. Sorry. Prices are high on everything but it's only one of two gas stations around the area. It's the closest to me, but I won't be supporting them anymore.
