Next visit someone had an obvious lapdog just running around jumping on people, never told to leave or hold the dog. I followed my sweet, funny, and caring hair stylist Jean to rendezvous because she is the only one that has been able to deal with my hair. I have a lot of hair but it is fine and curly. She washes my hair with with products that leave my hair feeling so amazing! She is the only one that has been able to give me the long layers that I love while also thinning my hair so it's more manageable. I just got back home from visiting Rendezvous Salon and I was really hoping to have a good experience because they seem to have good reviews. When I walked in, I looked around for a receptionist to check in but I could not find one. Several women were sat down chatting, made eye-contact, went back to chatting and didn't acknowledge me at all. There was no "hello" or "how may I help you", just nothing. I sat down, thinking that someone would get to me eventually but it never happened. It is embarrassing to feel invisible when you walk into any business, so I left. I have no idea what their haircuts are like, but I do know that their customer service is sub-par. When I became pregnant with my daughter, I ended up neglecting myself and only had ONE hair cut! (I didn't even bother to trim it) After two years had passed since my last "chop it all off" haircut. I was ready to perm my super long hair again! I must have called 80% of the salons in town and this was the only salon that: 1) Actually does perms. 2) Offered a reasonable estimate. When I called on the phone, they were very courteous and polite. A few places ant you to come in for the consultation but I did not want to go in only to be quoted a price that I was NOT going to pay. Instead, I was transferred over to Norma who has had a lot of experience with perms. So I jumped at the chance and I made an appointment with Norma. I was so excited but nervous at the same time! I've had my hair permed before but I was still anxious. The ladies here made me feel comfortable, some salons feel intimidating but this did not make me feel that way. The location is clean, decorated well, and parking is ample. Norma was so easy to talk to, we hit it off and the whole time she made me feel like I was at a friend's house. Norma was honest and only recommended what she thought would help me. No unnecessary up sell or trying to push products. I was considering coloring my hair but due to the lack of grays, Norma told me that it didn't seem necessary unless it was something I wanted. To end it all, my spiral perm came out better than expected and it was a transformation that was long overdue! read more

I was just passing by and on a whim decided to check if they could get me in for a haircut and deep condition. Jean took me in with no appointment and helped me right away. She was honest about the condition of my hair and gave me some tips to combat the dryness. She did a great wash and deep condition. Her cut was excellent, I needed a fair amount cut off for my hair to look healthy again and she did what needed to be done even though I was hesitant to lose a little length. She does a very good long cut. She added a little layering at the bottom and gave it a really beautiful shape. My hair is so much healthier looking now! Norma is an angel!! I came in as a walk in because I got a wild notion on a Saturday afternoon that getting a new hairstyle would be cool. I basically just told Norma "my hair is sad; please make it not sad." And she listened to me and came up with this vision that sounded beautiful. But I always get a little worried, especially when she showed me a picture of Princess Kate with goldeny highlights and said "this is what I'm thinking." So I thought, what the hell! She knows what she's doing, let's see what happens! Oh. My. God! I LOVE my hair! Cut wise, it's exactly what I wanted because she listens to me, asked questions and communicated with me. Went in for a basic cut, i wanted it just above my shoulder. Joy would cut my hair then ask if it was ok and i would tell her that i wanted it shorter and above my shoulders and she would not listen. Instead she just chopped at my hair while bragging about allllll the things she knows how to do. She also told me how young i looked at least 15 time to the point where it was almost offensive. She just kept going on and on bragging and commenting on my looks. When she was finishedy hair was straight across (i asked for a u-shape) and it wasn't straight, it was tucked under like how old ladies do their hair. It was not what i wanted and when i got home i realized that it was really uneven and one side was noticeably longer than the other. Dont ask for joy because cutting hair is the one thing she can't do read more

I've had black, blonde, silver, blue/purple (mermaid look) and now, a BEAUTIFUL Rose gold color on my hair. She doesn't skimp on quality products either. I was in on a day that the owners made lunch (fish tacos) for the staff. Which I hear happens frequently. The owner insisted I have one also. Not too many would be that nice. I had a horrible experience the lady (jean) ruined my hair ruined I came home crying to my husband that they ruined my hair and charged me almost $300 when over the phone they quoted me something completely different they didn't tell me they only take cash so I had to call my husband to bring me some money then they didn't give me a receipt of the services and how much each was then another lady (anh) screwed up my toes and when I asked how much for my hands and feet she said $90 when I said no she told me it was $45 for a pedicure one that i didn't want I told her and showed her what I wanted she said she could do it then have way through sorry I don't have the gems and the color you wanted long story short don't go here ever read more

They burned my scalp and I had to go from platinum blonde to brunette to salvage my hair. I payed $130 for horrible experience and 10 years of blonde hair maintenance down the drain. The "stylist" I was assigned was Jean Song. I should have known better. She kept asking if I had used box dye before. Umm hello I asked you to do my roots not dye the rest of my hair. I repeatedly said, I am more than willing to come back in a couple of days to reprocess my roots if they're not platinum right away. I understand my roots were 5 weeks rather than 3 weeks. She kept putting on toner to cover up that she used the wrong bleach and developer. I knew something was wrong when I felt an intense burn. I told her don't tone my hair it hurts and she kept applying telling me that she will go faster. To top it off she got bleach on the rest of my hair. So she made it break. My hair was to my back. Now my hair is breaking and thinning .DON'T GO HERE! I've been trying to be a good sport and stay positive, but this is a hell hole of unprofessionalism.
