We had them scheduled a month in advance to move us from Kalamazoo Michigan to Northville. And we have in writing they were supposed to be here at 11:30am; it is now 1:00pm and we have called them repeatedly and got nothing. We have it in writing they would be here and no they won't answer our calls or anything. I would give 0 stars if possible this is crazy. We needed to hire movers before the end of the month and didn't have any luck finding anyone local with ASAP availability. Rendezvous called us back and got a team to work on our move within two days! They called us the day of the move and arrived two hours before scheduled time which was great. The team had great communication and handled our furniture with great care from point a to point b. Spoke to Randy approximately a week prior to the move to get an estimate and set up the date, the estimate given was the actual cost on the day of the move. Randy kept in touch throughout the day of the move to let me know the status and ETA of the movers. He sent over three guys on the day of the move, they were fast, efficient and careful with the pieces of furniture. I would recommend this company and use them again in the future. read more

Moving in the middle of a pandemic was very stressful. I have had to reschedule my move more than 4 times within two months because of the covid lockdown. The biggest ripoff going. They charged $300 to remove old laundry appliances and install new ones. Got them out but didn't return for the install. Never spoke to anyone but a woman, who was unresponsive to e-mails, texts and calls. Her husband Danny was in a hurry, as if they had no time, because they were squeezing me around other jobs, instead of treating my job as a priority. Missed all the return dates and then disappeared altogether. Beware of liars and thieves. read more

Almost all of the furniture they moved has scratches, dings or nicks. They said they would wrap and cover important items - I'm sure they didn't cover all because of the damage we keep finding now that we are fully moved in and organizing things. They are kind/polite people but they need to take much better care of customer items while moving. They still need to provide good customer service as far as handling items with the utmost care. read more

AMAZING! I have been blown away by Rendezvous service from first call to finished product. This company takes care of their employees and it shows. We had 4 men and 1 truck move our 4 bedroom house. Worst company I have ever seen, what company would call an hour before the move to cancel?! Very unprofessional... The execuse was one of the THREE movers cant make it. I offered to get a uhaul and at least get the two movers... But I was told I would have to pay for the employees full amount, and would pay for the uhaul... Or if i wait till next day I would get a "discount"... I already set my move schedule with their open schedule, which is a day before my lease is up, so I HAD to move that day. would never ever deal or dealt with a company like this, and would never refer this company to my worst enemy... I was looking on line for a good moving company with good reviews. Even though there were only 5 reviews on "Yelp" there were a few on Google. I can tell you Randy was wonderful, kept in constant contact with me. Even offered us his winter moving special. On our day of moving, Randy called to let me know the gentlemen were on their way they were just running a little behind. No problem, it gave us a chance to finish packing and labeling a few things. Shortly after the gentlemen Rob1 and Rob2 called to let us know they were in route to our home, but they are tied up in traffic. No problem, thank you for the update, drive safe and we will see you soon. As soon as Rob1 and Rob2 arrived I walked them through everything that was to be moved and it did have notes on where to put things in the new place. These men were so kind and handled everything perfectly. There was even a time when our son was over to move some things to his home that Rob1 and Rob2 asked if they needed help getting things into my husband's van. After each room was packed into the moving truck they asked me just to make sure that everything needed was out of that room. If it was just close the door. They had packed up our 2 bedroom home in about 1.5 hours. On to the next location. I took them into the new home and showed them were things were going, and they took care of putting everything in it's place. There were somethings that were going to a storage unit from both places that they packed those up to. Last stop was to the storage unit and they placed everything how I wanted it so that we would be able to have plenty of space to move other things as we need to. Randy quoted me 3-4 hours and they finished around 4 hours. My husband who never had used a moving company before was even impressed because not only did they take apart furniture they put it back together. The movers were on time and worked very quickly getting everything loaded to the truck. They were able to load a 2 bedroom apartment in just over an hour. We had two drop off locations which they handled with ease. Only thing that caught me off guard was that when I had originally talked to randy we had agreed on 2 men, but on moving day 3 guys showed up. After going through the move I definitely think 3 guys was the right call, but would've liked to have been made aware of this from the start. I would definitely still recommend rendezvous. AMAZING! I am severely late in posting this as it kept slipping my mind but I have to sing Matt, Jmar and I believe Nick's (I cannot recall the last mover's name) praises. We moved December 9th, 2020 they were professional, fast, listened to everything I expressed to them and it was the best moving experience I've ever had. We used a different company 5 years ago and it was an absolute nightmare, these guys restored my faith in moving companies and I will never use any other company other than Rendezvous. Randy was very responsive, polite, and checked in to make sure everything went smoothly. I couldn't have picked a better crew. I hope to never move again, but if I do, I will be calling them, and telling anyone I know to use Rendezvous! Don't waste your time with the other companies...I called about 10 companies in the area and they were rude, dismissive, quoted something 3x as much as rendezvous or simply did not return my call.
