Patriot Moving Systems caught my attention so I called them to get more information. I talked with Dennis to get answers to my questions. He told me they are full service, meaning they will pack as well as move your household contents. You also have the option to do your own packing. One place I called pretty much only loads and moves your stuff so you have to do your own packing. Patriot sells boxes and packing materials but also suggested Home Depot or Lowe's but said he actually prefers and recommends getting these from U-Haul as he thinks theirs are better quality and sturdier. What I like is the way Dennis explained our options without overly promoting materials through Patriot. He also explained the rates for their services. Basically it is an hourly rate per person plus a trip charge and cost of the truck usage. He came out and walked through or house and then was able to give us a rough estimate of the number of hours we would likely need. We planned to use a staging company so we needed to pack some things to thin out certain areas like closets and kitchen countertops. So we arranged for Patriot to send out three people to box and move things into the garage for three hours and that was a big help. They were focused and hard working guys who went practically non-stop for the time scheduled. Whenever there was a question about packing certain items they asked about it. I could tell that they all knew what they were doing, their experience showed and they treated our things as if they were theirs. Delicate items were wrapped well for protection. Our move is currently on hold as we continue to pursue selling our home but Dennis checks in with me periodically to see how things are going. I will update this review once we actually complete our move but we know who we trust with packing and moving our property.

I was provided with an "estimated hours time" to complete my move . . . everything in the house was packed and ready to load. Three men showed up late. One young guy was on his phone every time I walked outside to check progress on loading. The man wanted to stay (alone) in my empty house while I went to the bank to get money. What kind of legitimate business demands payment in cash?! But the real reason I am writing this review is because most of what I loaded into the truck went into storage for a year. I just moved again and was able to unpack my things......crushed storage boxes, soo many broken items I can't even count, damaged furniture AND my very expensive commercial sized treadmill is broken. The day of the move I watched the bathroom idiot try to pick up the console by himself and as I was beginning to say, "don't....." - he dropped it upside down on my concrete drive. I was hopeful that since it was wrapped in foam and moving blankets it would be safe - but I should have known better. When I called the owner he started swearing at me and insisting everything was my fault and his men told him I was "difficult". Don't trust this man/company with your possessions! The clowns he hires to do the moving are unprofessional, rude, lazy and don't give a poo about how they treat your items.

Two guys showed up with a huge truck; took about 2 hours to load and drove the 60+ miles to my new home. I explained that I would have to leave before they finished, so I could drive back to Dearborn in the daylight (eyesight issues). That's when it all fell apart. I went back the next day to find plastic wrap strewn around the house, leaves all over the inside of the house, items left wrapped, a dirty bathroom and smoke smell. I contacted Fordson, and was told a slew of lies the worker told him; He said I told them not to enter the garage, FALSE. He said he couldn't find anywhere to dispose of the plastic wrap - THERE WAS A GARBAGE CAN IN THE DRIVEWAY NEXT TO THEIR TRUCK, I was told they aren't responsible for cleaning up after the job. I told Fordson I felt taken advantage of, being alone and older, and that his employee was lying. They made no accommodation and essentially blew me off once they were paid.
