All I want from a dental office is to tell me what I definitely need fixed. I don't want to hear about "other" issues - fixes that are not necessary for me but rather would be done to give the dental office extra business. Renaissance Dental checks that box for me. Dr. Peltz only did work that was necessary, and it was painless. She pointed out possible future problems but admitted they're not an issue yet- just something that I should keep in mind. Looking for a warm, welcoming office with amazing faculty, with dr and hygienist (Ana) who have the best bedside manner, look no more. Go to this office. Ana is the best hygienist I ever met. I always felt nervous getting cleaned since my gums are sensitive and the machine used always scared me. This place I look forward to bc with Ana it always feels like a Spa day, she makes you feel so comfortable and accommodated. She is gentle and does her cleanings well. I can feel the difference. The office is super clean and front desk Victoria is always professional and polite, helpful with insurance info as well. They take most PPOs and they never double book. If you miss appts they will charge a small fee if you don't notify 24 hrs in advance. I think that is fair since they do txt remind you few days and same day for the appt. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for Dr. Pelts and her wonderful staff. I accidentally fell upon them online and decided to make an appointment because I was on a tight schedule. They were so nice about working with my schedule! They even have a small shared parking lot. I have had a spotty record as far as going to the dentist- I didn't have insurance until a few years ago, so I was never taught the proper way to care for my teeth. I thought I had been thorough and doing it properly all these years, but Dr. Pelts really opened up my eyes. First off all, her receptionist/clerk is a sweetheart. She remembered my name after my first visit and has been so warm and welcoming- what seems like a small gesture goes a long way in helping you to relax when you are going to the dentist and you really just want to hop in your car and drive til you get to Jersey. I take that back, everyone I have encountered at the office, including Dr. Pelts, is a huge sweetheart. The hygienist went step by step to outline what I needed to do/change to up my teeth cleaning game. The technician HELD MY HAND while I was getting my first fillings ever (yes, ever) and told me when to close my eyes as to not see the ginourmous needle. Dr. Pelts talked me through step by step on everything she was doing, whenever there was a new sound. Every time my eyes closed she would ask if I'm ok and if something hurt. Not only that, I was shaking so she wanted to make sure I was not having a bad reaction to the drug she gave me. I told her it was actually because I was cold (it was 80 degrees out and I decided to wear shorts to a medical office for a procedure) so she went and got me a knit blanket so I would be (more) comfortable. I want to mention how thorough and kind everyone was. They never made me feel dumb or uneducated (as other doctors have before) when I asked questions. They made sure I understood the problem and how I needed to proceed. They also explained to me the progress they saw with my teeth when I went back. Maybe these are all standard services and common, but I have been to 4 other dentists in the last 5 years and no one has ever been so kind and thorough. No one else seemed to actually care about the well being of my dental health. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Pelts and her staff. I had a full-blown dental phobia, and I had been away from the dentist for many years. I worked up the courage to walk into her lovely little dental salon (that's what it feels like) and immediately felt safe, though still anxious. It's now four years later, and I go twice a year for cleanings and check ups. I had a lot of work done that first year, and Dr. Pelts was and always is so gentle, kind, friendly, warm, and incredibly professional. Like the other reviewer said, Dr. Pelts takes the time to tell you what she's doing and checks routinely to be sure she isn't hurting you. She saved my life, pretty much. I was a basket case, and now, I finally go to the dentist regularly, and I can trust Dr. Pelts and her staff. A lot of dental phobia is connected to feeling a loss of control (and then all that follows in that fear).
