They're dishonest and look for things you don't have in order to charge you exorbitant prices. I came here to get my teeth treated. The dentist seemed hesitant in his diagnosis, and the hygienist was even worse. I don't have the best teeth, but I do maintain good daily hygiene. The hygienist recommended a deep cleaning because I had tartar and plaque. The cleaning cost $795. Then the supposed budget coordinator arrived, and the treatment for my teeth would cost $12,185. At another place in the same area, the treatment would have cost me $5,533. Even so, I paid half the cleaning, $395, to start, and they only cleaned half of my mouth, on the right side, both upper and lower. During the week, I got two second opinions from other dentists and called dental insurance companies and plans. The result: I have no plaque, no tartar, and a cleaning wasn't necessary right now. I had a broken tooth, and these dishonest people at Gentle Dental wanted to put a crown on me for $3,050. The other two dentists recommended the following: you have 70% of your tooth still good; it's best to preserve it by getting a filling that, with care, will last and keep part of your natural tooth. Think a thousand times before going to Gentle Dental. I recommend Corbin Dental Bayside. I recently had a procedure done by him that involved removing a traumatic fibroma. The procedure was quick and painless and he used a laser to ensure better healing. He is a very skilled and knowledgeable dentist. I am two weeks post procedure and have completely healed. I am so happy with the results. Thanks to Dr Dan and his team!

I walked in initially for a second opinion, also because of the great reviews, and stayed because of the work and integrity Dr. Dan and his team showed from the get go. He really takes pride in his work and it shows. Lo and behold I did not need a root canal and my dental health has been the best its been in a long time. They're also open on Saturdays! Coming from someone with a low pain threshold, I was really impressed with how careful Dr. Dan is and also that there's a tv on the freaking ceiling to keep you distracted. The ladies at the front are always sweet, easy to contact, and know what they're talking about as well. I can't say enough nice things, I'll be recommending everyone :)

The cordless tooth polisher was great since and the entire mouth floss as the end was amazing as well. My favorite part of this office has got to be the TV'S ON THE CEILING so you can kind of zone out while they're making your teeth sparkle again. I got to catch up on some Netflix at my dentist, welcome to 2019. The entire office was VERY clean and the front desk was very friendly and checked me in quickly so I didn't wait long at all. I will be doing x-rays in 6 months since I just had them done recently. My second favorite part was the hot towel at the end of the cleaning to mop off my face, I felt like I was flying first class! I'm actually looking forward to going back to the dentist and that's something I never thought I would say!!

However, the communication from reception has been disappointing. They often don't seem to know the status of cases, and when I asked if my tooth was ready, I simply received a "no," even though I had already received a text confirming it was ready. Scheduling appointments is also unnecessarily difficult, especially with one particular receptionist who rarely has availability and makes patients adjust to her schedule. The other receptionist is much nicer and communication with her is always easy. The dental team is great, but the front desk experience needs significant improvement.

At LIC, they explained they did not have the specific materials needed to address my implant issue. However, the doctor there was warm, professional, and genuinely tried to help me. I was specifically told that the Forest Hills location would be able to assist. I was in the Forest Hills office for about three minutes. I came in with loose upper crowns from a dental implant procedure I had done in Turkey. Dr. Schlesinger walked in, refused to shake my hand, and stood at a distance. He did not perform an examination. He did not turn on a light, did not touch my crowns, and did not assess the area. He asked me to open my mouth briefly, and without physically examining the crowns, he stated that I should go back to Turkey or wherever I had the procedure done and have them fix it because he did not know. He then walked out. There was no clinical assessment and no attempt to evaluate the issue. At the 365 Dental Forest Hills location, the dental assistant, a woman with dark hair, glasses, and a ponytail, was present during this interaction and appeared visibly uncomfortable as it unfolded. I took the instruction literally and flew back to Turkey. When I arrived, I was informed they could not assist because the manufacturer of the implant components is based in Israel and Turkey has severed ties. As a result, I am now pursuing treatment with ClearChoice to replace the crowns and possibly the implants. I have been a patient with 365 Dental for about six years. This experience at the Forest Hills location was unacceptable. After this interaction with Dr. Schlesinger, I will not be returning.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Austin Dental. I went in with excruciating pain today…read moredesperately needing a root canal, and from the moment I called, they were incredibly accommodating. They understood the urgency of my situation and got me in very quickly, which made such a difference when I was in so much discomfort. I was extremely scared and anxious walking in, but the entire team immediately made me feel comfortable, cared for, and at ease. Everyone--from the front desk to the dental staff--was kind, patient, and reassuring. They took the time to explain everything step by step, which really helped calm my nerves and made a very overwhelming situation feel manageable. The procedure itself was handled with professionalism and care. I truly felt like I was in good hands the entire time. They checked on me often, made sure I was okay, and treated me with genuine compassion, not just as a patient but as a person in pain. What could have been a very traumatic experience was made so much easier because of how attentive and supportive they were. I'm so grateful to the entire team at Austin Dental for their kindness and expertise. If you're looking for a dental office that combines skill with genuine compassion, I highly recommend them.

Good to know, noted for future reference. Last night, I started having a toothache but being a stubborn kind of guy, I thought I would gut it out and everything would be just fine. I certainly didn't want to spend my last holiday vacation day going to the dentist. Just in case it got worse, I sent a FB message via Messenger around 1AM looking to get a response by the time I woke up in the morning. Surprisingly, someone responded within a few minutes. Well done, social media and a late night almost instant response. Scored points with me for sure. But I didn't sleep very well because of the toothache so at 5am, I set up an appt with my regular dentist online through his website. I called him an hour before just to make sure we were good but it turns out he was out of town and his staff didn't update his availability. Great! Went to the notebook on my phone and looked up the guys who got all the kudos and accolades. I looked up their reviews (all positive), looked up where they went to school and when they graduated (local guys), and etc. Someone on FB Messenger told me that the office was open at 9am and if I wanted to set up an appointment, they would be happy to take care of me. I called them after finding out my regular dentist wasn't in town and they gave me an appointment for three hours later, on a Sunday! I went in and they followed good social distancing practices, the place was clean, and the doc, Junoh Kim, walked me through everything that was going to happen, during, and after. He answered all my questions with pleasure and patience, no attitude, no judgement, no preaching, which is always appreciated. There wasn't anyone after me but he took his time, didn't rush through the process, and it was generally a good experience, considering it was a visit to the dentist on a Sunday during Thanksgiving weekend. I definitely recommend KW Dental and not that I look forward to the next visit, but I know that I will feel comfortable going to these guys in the future. 2020 is a weird year and businesses are all being affected so wanted to make sure to call these guys out for their good patient services.

This is a family run dental practice that takes great care of its patients. Our family sees two…read moredifferent dentists at this practice (for different specialties). They go above and beyond in their care. One family member had a mouth ache over the weekend and they were willing to see her on Sunday when the office was closed. I've never seen this level of concern for a patient at any practice. Their commitment to patients is beyond transactional. The dentists do not rush and communicate with the patient to ensure all concerns are addressed. I can be grouchy about excess X-rays in general and they are savvy in dealing with my concerns while ensuring I get proper care. The staff communicates fluently in English, Mandarin and Taiwanese. I switched to this practice due to a long distance move and thankfully they have been willing and capable of servicing my dental prosthetics from the previous dentist. When I don't take public transportation and drive to my appointment, I park at Tangram Mall a block away. Surprisingly, I am often able to find street parking.
