In looking for someone to repair or replace portions of my fence and posts, I ran across all the glowing reviews for Little Red Truck Home Services and knew Barry was the fellow I wanted to give a quote for my work. He quickly called back from my message, set a time to meet, and was prompt to come view the work to give a quote. His easygoing, folksy and very pleasant manner coupled with evident knowledge of the kind of work I needed to have done instantly instilled confidence in me that I'd found the right one for the job. He showed up on time and fully prepared with all the supplies and tools necessary, and set to work. He finished the job even sooner than I had imagined, and when he showed me the result, he showed me he had even done some repair to the door of my pool house that wasn't even part of the original work we had discussed! I'm so pleased with his work, his demeanor and outstanding customer service that I'm checking around the house and yard for more work to bring him back. I would not hesitate to recommend Barry's services, and have every confidence that his rate is a fair price for excellent work. Give him a call! And if you want to ply him with good coffee when he arrives, that wouldn't go amiss, either! Thanks, Barry -- Hope I get to hire you again soon.

I sent him away, as we couldn't communicate. They sent another guy out, and he said the roof wasn't sealed properly on the ridge and that he'd be back. Here I am February 2024, roof not fixed!!! We contracted to have foundation work done and then near the completion of the work added to the contract that waterproofing and a French drain would also be done. We paid Mr. Duenas $1200 in advance for that work. Mr. Duenas never came back to complete the work. It has taken over a year and a complaint to the State Contractors License Board to get Mr. Duenas to give us back our money. Although the contract included a payment schedule, Mr. Duenas requested lump sum payments outside of the schedule so he could pay his workers. Once paid, we did not see Mr. Duenas or his crew for 7-10 days and there was no communication about when to expect them back to work. I do not recommend Duenas Concrete he does not return calls, fails to meet at agreed upon times and did not complete the work as promised and paid for.

Duenas had a bid for sidewalk repair that came with our inspection report when we purchased a new home in Oakland. We saw that some folks on Yelp said they weren't super reliable so we looked around to see if there were other companies to work with. Another company with online better reviews (likely written by their friends and family) took weeks to get back to us, were super flakey, and gave us an inflated bid that was WAY more expensive than what Duenas had offered. We called Duenas to see if he would honor his original bid, he promptly responded to say he would, and then completed the work in under a week. Couldn't ask for anything more.

He remodeled our whole condo (kitchen cabinets, bathroom, floors, counter tops, plumbing in the kitchen, electrical lighting). INTEGRITY / REASONABLY PRICED: Robert is a man of integrity! He delivered quality work with or without me onsite. Someone you can fully trust - not just his quality work but also with pricing. QUALITY WORK / DETAIL ORIENTED / THOROUGH: This is the first time I have worked with a general contractor that has very high standards. He is perfectionist and he will not take short cuts with his work. He is a breath of fresh air to work with, he is thorough and makes sure we are aligned. He discusses details and clarifies things that are unclear so that there is no miscommunication. He takes the initiative to correct things when he sees things will not work. Example: He fixed the pipe/plumbing in the kitchen to be able to install the garbage disposal and dishwasher, when that was not originally planned. RESPONSIVE / PATIENT: Robert responds in a timely fashion via text or email. I can sense he is old school because he has manners and very cordial. There is always add-ons in projects and he is the most patient, great listener contractor I have ever worked with and I've remodeled rental homes 4x. PROFESSIONAL / ACCOMMODATING: He never complains, he is accountable and takes pride in his work. He is flexible and tries to accommodate despite his very busy schedule. He actually was fully booked but he tried to accommodate our project. HONEST: He will tell you what he cannot do and can do. Example: Disposal of the dishwasher, he told me that since we bought the new dishwasher from Lowes that they will dispose at a cheaper price. He will deliver what he promised - ALL of IT! He cleans up after his work. WE ARE BLESSED: Overall, Robert did an excellent job. I had 25 applicants that wanted to rent the condo (in the fall season) all because Robert delivered quality work. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND: If you are looking for a general contractor, I highly recommend Bastiao Construction! They work above and beyond, delivers quality work, fair pricing, trustworthy, responsive, reliable, flexible, cordial, pleasant to work with and easy to talk to, no surprises. To sum it all up - THE PERFECT CONTRACTOR! Thank you Robert for all that you do! It has been a great pleasure working with you from beginning to the end and I mean that sincerely. We feel blessed to have known Robert. If I can give you 10 stars I would - until next time!

Replacing our old tub with a beautiful walk-in shower has made our daily routine safer, easier, and unexpectedly more joyful. The spacious design, low entry, and thoughtful layout have brought us a real sense of comfort and peace of mind. What was once a dated, inconvenient space has become a quiet retreat - somewhere we genuinely look forward to stepping into each day, even during the busiest moments. The craftsmanship and attention to detail exceeded anything we could have hoped for. Every stage of the project was handled with care and professionalism, from demolition through the final finishing touches. Mr. Bruce and assistant Sam treated our home with respect, worked with pride, and kept us reassured and informed throughout the entire process. But the most meaningful change isn't just in how the bathroom looks - it's in how it feels to live with. We no longer struggle stepping over a high tub wall, cleaning is easier and less of a chore, and the entire space feels brighter, more open, and more peaceful. It's hard to overstate how much small daily frustrations have simply disappeared. If you're considering replacing your tub with a walk-in shower, we can honestly say this has been one of the most rewarding investments we've ever made in our home. It has brought comfort, ease, and a quiet kind of happiness into our daily routine. We are truly grateful for the transformation and deeply appreciative of the Bath Biz team who made it all possible.
