Total cost: $15,000 Total duration: 2 months…read more Our experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Alex the owner/installer promised too much and under delivered. He promised 2 days of installation and 7 days of logistics. It took over two months for him to finish the kitchen, and a total of 7 visits to our property requiring us to take many days off work or to have to ask family or friends to be present every single time. Here is the list of major issues with our installation: 1.He never verified the dimensions we gave him for our kitchen. We measured the entire room, including ceiling height, where the window was, full blown layout. He confirmed that all dimensions were good and nothing needed to be changed. That resulted in size cabinets, and tight space for stove and microwave. Not even an 1/8" so our cabinet doors drag on microwave panel and is chipping the door away. 2. He did not open the shipment before he started the installation. He received only 40% of the material necessary to finish the kitchen so for months, literally months we did not have a Kitchen as he did not do his due diligence like any contactor should do to make sure the material he received was correct and whole. Cooking out of a microwave and cleaning in a bath sink for months, sigh. Just not what I had in mind after a long day at work and a sizable investment. 3. The quality of material is very poor. There is chips and cracks all over the place. Many of the joints are already separating either from bad installation or bad material. 4. He did not communicate with his countertop contractor and did not provide the appropriate dimensions so the stone needed to be modified in our house. Many notches and too much caulking to hide all the imperfections. 5. There was an excuse about everything but no ownership. At the end of the installation, he offered us $250 for delays and lack of performance. That's only 1.6% of how much we paid him, not to mention the days we had to take off of work to be present while he made so many trips to complete it. I strongly recommend you avoid trying to save money. Your sanity is worth more, trust me I made a huge mistake by trusting in his capability as a contractor. Just buy from Costco, at least you can keep them accountable. If I could go back and do it again, I would have gladly paid the $22k to Costco. At least you know they'll do it right.

It all started when Craig and I were at one of his properties and he gave me the tour and explained that type of work had been done. He offered that property fully furnished and pointed to a few items that his wife wanted to take with him. I took note of those items. Remember that, I will address them later. There was also a futon that was in pieces and on the floor and he had promised to get the hardware to put it together. When I arrived the futon, which was obviously used, and in very good condition, however, the hardware was in a brand new bag so I knew he had just bought it. It was thrown on the floor and upon closer inspection, I found that it did not fit that particular futon. I guess it was too much for him to take the time to see if the hardware actually worked for that application. He took me outside and showed me the appliances that were to be installed in the ADU because it wasn't finished. They were stored in Rubbermaid type lockers, of which he said "this one stays". I will address it later. We went inside the ADU and chatted a bit. He offered tile that he had in storage for the shower and I accepted his offer and asked for it to be installed during the completion of the ADU. Remember that I will address it later. When we closed on the house, many of the items that he said were going to stay were not there including: End tables ornamental sun for the outside of the building Storage locker Keys to the locks (he said that he just use codes and that he would provide the keys and has not and it has been over 60 days) The shower is this the shower inset which is completely the opposite of what he and I had chatted about during the first conversation . During the amendments to the purchase and sale agreement, Craig would routinely email everybody nearly ranting that he needed to be made whole, or some other decision needed to favor him personally. "Contact your buyer" "I need to be made whole" "I need to make sure no one is tying up my property" "The earnest money needs to go hard" Frankly it was exhausting, dealing with this purchase due to his stirring of the pot with my team. My buying agent finally decided to put a credit in the PSA so he would calm down And quit making waves. He called my loan officer several times and pressed him to get the property closed. So many times that my loan officer called me asking me what's going on. Sometime ago, I texted him very nicely with a way out, saying hey, these items were missing maybe you accidentally took them . He replied with it all comes down to what is in writing. You know he's right, it does. It also comes down to integrity. In no way, is this slanderous or malicious. My heating and air-conditioning unit went out and I contacted my agent because Craig Tuttle will not talk to you after the sale but he will talk to you all day long prior to the sale. The construction on this unit is way less than a year old and we had a plumbing issue that was Only permitted by a professional plumbing company, but the work was done by somebody who was not necessarily licensed and there was a large belly in the line which caused back ups. Craig gave us the runaround for about 3 1/2 weeks before he finally decided to pay the invoice which he was responsible for in the beginning. Now my heating and air-conditioning unit has went out and it is leaking. Once again, we get the runaround from Craig saying that his installer who may or may not be licensed did the work and some other company came by and got the permit. The unit is not a quality unit and Has only been an operation for less than seven months and now I am left with $1000 bill and a good luck from him. The control unit was damaged due to running without refrigerant and needs to be replaced and have not gotten an estimate as of yet. The one that is posted is only for the refrigerant leak repair. Once again, this review is not malicious in any way, shape or form. It is merely to let you be informed.

Although there were a few missing components when we opened all of the packaging containing the cabinetry, Brian made sure everything was as it should be in the end and got me everything I asked and paid for with no argument. He even made a few deliveries himself. Brian was professional, extremely knowledgeable and helpful when I had questions or concerns. He had me come up to his office / warehouse location to look at some examples of what United had to offer, which I would recommend others do as well. He "always" responded back to me when I sent an email or called even when he was ill or on vacation.
