I've never really felt the employees were nice. I've known a couple to be, but not really. It's a small grocery store so it has most of what you need. This is a great small grocery store if you want something local. Because it's a small store, they are limited on selections so you won't find specialty items such as organic hygienic products. I didn't notice any organic foods, so I'm not sure if they have any of that. However, any of the well known brands or some generic brands you will definitely find. They have self check out and clerks are very helpful and available. I also found a local honey that a lot of people I've met here seem to love. Kroger used to sell the Sille Honey, but they haven't in a long time from what I understand. Basic things you'll find and it'll be in good shape or quality. read more

This is just your average Remke's. There's nothing really special about it. I usually don't shop at Remke's. It is however in a pretty convenient location if you're already in that area. Pretty much the only time I ever stop here, is just for something to do while I'm waiting on my pizza to get done at Marco's which is in the same little strip mall. i have stopped in here quite a few times for drinks, but that's about it. Came in and ordered 50 PC chicken was told it was going to take half hour, said that's fine it was 1 and the event was going on at 2 that's perfect walked around the store and came back and she said I just started your order. Be honest to your customers, I would have went somewhere else so the event wouldnt be delayed. Not impressed with the staff. read more

Remke's is okay for convince items but a lot of times they don't carry what I am looking for. Tonight I went in looking for some items to make dinner. They did not have fresh parsley, fresh basil and they did not have limes. From the looks of the shelves it appears they don't carry these items because the shelves were full. I tend to go to this location when I don't feel like heading down the hill to Kroger's because this is a very typical experience as well as it is more expensive than most grocery stores, almost to the point of a convince store. The location is great and I have always had great experiences with the staff, always friendly and help the best they can, it just seems like they pick the wrong items to keep in stock. read more

The bakery manager is VERY RUDE, and HATEFUL!! If you try to order or ask a question, you will know how much you are bothering her, and does NOT want you there. (Not being mean, dirty hair, no pride in her appearance wrinkled and dirty uniform.) She also think about bathing on a regular basis. Loved the tall girl who worked the deli,she was always happy, helpful, and a delight. She was great with my kids, and mother! She could help with any department, went out of her way to make sure I was happy. She disappeared The young man with the beard can be very funny, but talks more than works. He can be very condescending. The prices are extremely high, but their 10 cent items, on Wednesday are not worth it when everything else so high. Trish is great always a smile and knows her stuff. It's nice because of its convenience. I'm always running up 16 and have to jump in here every once in a while. Besides that it's a little small inside.. They have pretty much everything you need but usually at a higher price than you would pay at other places. Go on in and grab they few things you need but I would go in and fill my cart. read more

I have lived in Taylor Mill for 20+ years and have shopped at Remke the whole time. They have switched ownership twice. They are definately not what they used to be. First off the staff - They try to get people to do their job for them, by using the self check out. I have a job! Don't need to do yours. Now they are even expecting you to get lunchmeat that could have been laying around for days instead of having someone slice it for you and it is the same high price! Their produce has really gone downhill, to the point I try to get mine elsewhere - Walmart or Meijers even though neither of those stores are close to me. I used to love Remke and would always brag on how good the meat was, It didn't bother me to pay a few cents more on everything because the products were worth it. Not so anymore. Now I only go in there because it is convenient (close to my house) and find myself going down the hill or even driving further to get better deals and food. Miss the old Remke. PS, I even remember when they used to hand deliver me Christmas gifts. Shows how much money we spent in there! read more
