Yesterday I did just that. With our backs already turned walking away, this man (he was throwing out trash so I assume the Janitor?) yells at me to leave the area and goes off into a rant about how dirty it is. He screamed "there's sh*t everywhere!", so I pulled out my waste bag to show/explain to him that I always pick up and am not the cause of any problems. He proceeds to get verbally aggressive with me cursing and saying there's so many other parts of town I can walk by and to stop coming back. I tell him "okay" while walking away clearly trying to diffuse the situation as he continues to yell at me. Mind you, there are zero signs up stating dogs aren't allowed to walk on the sidewalk. Statistically, we know that when certain men single out women, it isn't an isolated incident but typically represents his normal behavioral pattern. If this employee who already demonstrated he can't regulate his emotions is comfortable enough to lash out aggressively towards a lone woman who did nothing wrong on public property, he's more than likely to have a bigger ego with someone in the same building as him. I can't imagine renting/working here on slow nights and having this individual be the one wandering the halls. Sounds like trouble in the making if there's none already. Hollywood Production needs to do better at the employees they choose to represent their company. This incident was completely uncalled for, unnecessary, and blatantly rude.
