Sorry for the inconvenience. Call us to change or cancel." Awesome. So I call this office, but their scheduling department is a call service who didn't know what was going on. It is nearly impossible to get ahold of someone in the actual office. I left a message on a machine at the actual clinic, a person eventually called back but I was in a meeting at work so couldn't answer. But they left a message with their extension to dial to reach them directly. Sounds good, right? Except I called 6 times over the rest of the day (including once maybe 5 minutes after they called me) and they never answered, and the "extension" numbers don't have a voicemail. The next day the Hampton office calls and again I don't answer because I was busy, and I get another extension that no one ever answers. Nice. But they also call my husband, and he does answer! Turns out, they had screwed up their doctor's schedule and decided to reschedule all of the patients to Hampton instead of the doctor to VA Beach, I guess. If we wanted to reschedule, it would be months of wait, again. Awesome. Anyway, despite him saying "we" would like to cancel, they only canceled his appointment. I guess they thought he was using the royal "we". So I called and left a message on their clinic's answering machine that I would like to cancel... and I'm still getting text messages this morning about my appointment in Hampton. I'm realizing now that I dodged a bullet, because no doctor is good enough to justify this level of incompetence and lack of care for their patients from the front of house.

I have absolutely NEVER rated a spa this low. I arrived for my appointment 10 minutes before it began and walked into an empty waiting room. The minutes ticked on as my appt. approached and still no one was at the front desk. The owner exited a treatment room with one of her clients, and to my surprise, didn't even make eye contact with me. I was the only one in the waiting room. She proceeded to check her customer out at the register, then walked to the back of the building. No hello. No greeting. No eye contact. Zilch. Yikes. The front desk employee finally came up to the waiting area and didn't say anything to me, but shyly smiled. I ended up having to say that I had a 1:45 appt; it was 1:47. All she said was "yeah I think you're checked in already". Not "Cristelle is running late" or "I'm so sorry for the wait". Nada. The actual service by Cristelle was superb. I do remember booking my initial appt. with Rachel though, and there was no mention of why Rachel wasn't available that day. I was called 10 minutes later, only to be told that "they like customers to stay with one provider", so I essentially HAD to be booked with Cristelle in order to stay a customer. Huh? I've never heard of such a thing. You need to let customers choose a day that THEY have free, not based on you wanting them to stay with the same esthetician. I'm sure this place has its regulars and that's great. But due to the lack of basic customer service skills and the fact that a customer can't actually choose an appointment date that works for THEM, you've lost me. I left feedback on the follow up form and never heard from the owner. Lastly is the alert system, which literally sent me 4 texts in a matter of 12 hours letting me know what my appointment time was. Way overkill. I almost didn't mention it, but I think it's noteworthy of marketing, is that the flyer for your upcoming event doesn't have a time on it. I know you know this, I'm just not sure why you would leave people with not knowing a time for an event. I hope this feedback is taken into consideration, considering customers are what makes a business run.
