I was finally emailed it a week before the appointment and some of the instructions had specific guidelines to follow a month prior before the appointment. Also there was no prior consult before the appointment. Such as important questions if you take blood thinning medications. Which if you do microblading is not recommended. The question is on the clientele paperwork when you get to your first appt after putting down a $100 non refundable deposit. I was not offered any other services or if I wanted to rebook. It was like and in and out not expecting a return service. For the last appointment I showed up 30 min early. I rang the bell hoping to wait in the lobby with the AC, water and bathroom available. I instead waited in my car outside the business, no one came in or out but when I rang the bell closer to the appt time I was welcomed in. It was a bit insulting. Also the shading if you will notice in my photo isn't even on both brows even after a touch up. Now with the good. The establishment is beautiful. Kim follows all health codes and services were rendered and she was professional. She also offered to pay the extra time on my meter for the street parking. And I was made sure to be comfortable with a blanket if I got cold and a pillow under my legs for back pain. Third, when she was done, I noticed that there were some spots that were bare when I told her that there seems to be some spots missing, she said that she glued an extension to every lash I had and it's because I chose to do a classic set that it looks like this and that I should have gone with hybrid lashes if I wanted more lash. I have done classic sets before and never had it look a bit patchy. Fourth, after a day of having these lashes done, the eyelashes poked the life out of my left eye, which I have never experienced with eyelash extensions. My right eyelash extensions kept bothering me to the point that many have already fallen out. I obliged and booked an…read moreappointment for Sunday 04/05/26 individual eyelash extension desiring the hybrid look at a cost of $150 and a buddy package providing a luxury facial and massage for a cost of $270.00. Each service had a separate 18% gratuity which is removed if you tip the technician in cash. I expected a high-end professional experience, unfortunately what we received fell far below that standard. We ultimately spent a significant amount of money on very basic services that were advertised as luxury. EYELASH- I booked eyelash service that was advertised and explained to me by the intake receptionist as individual eyelash extensions, instead I was given clusters or fans as the owner prefers to call them. This is misleading and not what I paid for. Individual lash extension as I have had in the past are typically applied one extension per natural eyelash, not clusters or fans. What I received was not consistent with standard and similar cluster services can be found at basic nail salon for less than half the cost that I paid. The glue adhesive hardened to the point that I had to remove the lashes within two days of my service. This reflects poor technique, improper sequencing of services and lack of care. FACIAL- there was no consultation-no discussion of my skin type, concerns or goals. The process was not explained during the service, including products being used or recommended and there was no proper exfoliation, which is a basic step in any facial. Although very polite, I felt my aesthetician was either a student or an amateur that had just graduated. My facial was performed immediately after my eyelash extensions, and the way this was handled was very concerning. The esthetician placed loose, swim type goggles over my eyes that did not properly protect the lashes from the facial steam which I believe caused some of the lash clusters to fall out the next day. MASSAGE- The massage was decent, but very basic, we were provided with a choice of two scent oils to use. One was very pleasant, the other putrid to my senses. A luxury salon should offer more than one scent of oil to choose from. There was no variation in f technique or enhancements. The glute massage was received through the blanket used to keep me covered and warm, which felt impersonal and not in line with a luxury service or experience. The most concerning event was how my feedback was handled. The owner (Ivy) performed my eyelash service, when I reached out to her to discuss my concerns, our conversation became tense and dismissive. It took significant effort just to get her to acknowledge any accountability. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, she became defensive, state she "felt" disrespected and focused on explaining her training, how long she has been in the business and the details of each eyelash service (i, e, classic, hybrid, dramatic) that should have been explained on the menu or when I requested this information from the intake agent before I booked my appointment. She was adamant that they did not provide refunds, but she offered me the option to return to the salon for her to correct my eyelashes or 50% refund of what I paid. At this point the conversation has escalated to the extent that we were unable to fully discuss or resolve the concerns with the facial and massage. She gave me a story of how tired she was, how she didn't have time to continue the conversation. I asked when a better time would be, she stated she didn't have time, she was booked and busy and that she had a family and a home to go to. Like, really, we all are professional women and have the same responsibilities. DEFLECTION. She eventually conceded to the following Wednesday to follow-up. I eventually conceded to 50% refund plus the gratuity which I am still waiting to receive. Please note how she does not address any of the bad reviews, this is also a sign of no accountability.
