This is totally a hidden gem by the Lynnhaven Mall! Beautifully decorated inside and this may sound weird but the place smelled SO heavenly. I have no idea how it smelled so good... seriously it was like the smell of the best spa you've ever been to plus a bath & body works candle store. I digress... everything inside was spotlessly clean and it seems they really made good use of the space inside. There are private rooms for guests during their visit and upbeat yet relaxing music plays overhead. I got a lash lift - it was my first time ever getting one - and my beauty tech was very friendly and explained everything to me as she was doing it. She really took her time and my lashes came out perfect. Though the services are pricey, they are competitive for this type of beauty services. I had lash extensions done with Mallory for my birthday and the service was honestly spectacular like I loved it a lot. However, there are 3 huge problems I encountered with this place. 1. Trying to talk on the phone with them is such a pain and frankly just does not work, unless THEY are the ones to call you. The automatic voice mail directory they have set up is a just one the most annoying ones I've had to deal with. And even when you think you're finally going to get to talk to someone ("or press 4 and one of us will be with you shortly!"), they won't. It'll ring and no answer, every time. It then tells you to "leave a voicemail with your info and we will call you back". But you won't get a call back. Trust me. Tried that too. Sometimes it's just nice to freaking know that you've been heard, or maybe you have a question and you just need to talk to someone?? 2. Their actual location is NOT the location on GPS. Yeesh. I didn't know I was going to the wrong place until I had "arrived(?¿)" an I was driving around this random shopping center, scouring the place, then parking in frustration only to call them 4 times trying to get ahold of someone for directions-- annnd only for them to NOT pick up the phone as I mentioned before, ofc ‍. So I called them again and I frustratingly had to listen for the actual location thru help of the automatic voice directory, and finally put that into my gps, and then found out I was actually 15 minutes away from what I hoped would be the actual location this time... luckily it was but ‍ Also here are a few other things I'll mention since I'm the type of person who leaves no stone unturned. The boss, Rickanna I think it was? She seems a bit rude, because when I first got there and was feeling disoriented and frustrated, I sort of opened up about how much of a pain it was to get there what with them not answering the phone and their gps on google maps being wrong... well she actually gave me a slight attitude to my surprise Also, it's lowkey extremely expensive, and they charge you a deposit of seventy-five bucks off the bat just to get on their book (in case you no-show them). So yeah just a warning for those who like their money, cause you might wanna save a little extra before you get those extensions or else your bank account is gonna feel it lol. I went in the salon and met Britney and even scheduled an appointment for my hair to get done in a few weeks. Then I waited for Rickina to get done with her client. I went into her cute little boutique, it's as mall room. Basically she works one client at a time. I trusted Rickina to do my lashes. I have really short lashes and I really wanted to get it done instead of messing with the false lashes. She did amazing and she squeezed me in for today since Im celebrating with my hubby our anniversary tomorrow! She was so sweet and careful. I was able to relax and dozed off for a bit. This was my first time getting false lashes. I had been wanting them for about 3 years, but never saved the money. So finally for Xmas, a friend of mine decided to give me the money for lashes as a gift! Anyways, I Googled my ass off and found LASHCEO to be affordable and the reviews looked great. I called initially to book an appointment and got the voicemail of the salon (as expected). IMMEDIATELY the owner called me back and help me set up an appt. I was booked with Terri the following day. Terri was late showing up due to traffic conditions during rush hour. Understandable. When she reached, I was greeted with a smile and then escorted to the room. The room was cozy and simple. I was instructed to lay on my back, in the bed and relax. Terri was very concerned about my comfort and consistently asked if I needed more pillows, stretch... etc. I appreciated that. I was so comfortable, I was knocked out throughout some of the process. Now, on the website, it states $135 for the full set of lashes but it specifies 2 hrs. My lashes took FOUR hours. So as you can probably imagine I was freaking out she was going to tell me double the cost. It wasn't a penny over $135 and she even honored my $15 off coupon I found on Yelp. The only reason Im giving it 4 Stars is because my lashes were falling out pretty much immediately. I didn't even get a full week with them. I did as instructed but I guess they just may not be for me. I think $135 was too expensive for how long they lasted but they were beautiful and I received multiple compliments. If I had the money Id keep up with it, but unfortunately I don't lol. read more

My visit was on 11/14/19 for lash extensions. The owner, Rickina, as well as her staff and business are receiving 5 stars from me because of several things- 1. Professionalism was at its finest, here! 2. Cleanliness and beauty of workspace- their location and their workspace was absolutely gorgeous, clean, professional, and extremely comfortable. I knew I was going to be well taken care of, the second I walked in. 3. HONESTY- I was getting my lashes done ELSEWHERE but I came to these ladies for their second opinion because my original girl elsewhere cancelled on me last minute, which landed up being a blessing. Rickina and Mallory were happy to take a look at my lashes to see what was going on. They took a picture from their point of view, to show me what was going on with my lashes extensions that someone else had done. It was scary looking, and it all made sense why they were falling out and painful! The ladies said it would be healthiest and safest to remove everything and start from scratch, which honestly was no secret after seeing what they looked like. Imagine clumps of glue, and even a clogged hair follicle! So scary. Rickina and Mallory walked me through the very quick removal process and talked with me about options for future lashes. I came to Rickina to get a "lash lift" aka an eyelash perm. Basically your natural lashes are wrapped around a silicone pad/rod to get the effect of curled lashes without the effort of actually curling them everyday. My lashes are naturally really straight and do not hold a curl well at all, so if I ever tried to pretty em up and use mascara, the effect would be gone in about half an hour. I saw that people on Instagram were getting this done so I did some googlin and found Lashes & A Wink! I booked an appt online which was easy and a confirmation was sent right away as well as a reminder text the day before. I work with eyeballs all day so I am very conscious about what could happen especially since there's adhesive and chemicals involved. However Rickina was very gentle and meticulous and I had no issues whatsoever. It was actually pretty comfortable just laying there with my eyes closed and just chit chatting away. An hour later, my lashes were done and holy hell they were sticking up like I'd never seen before! Rickina told me to keep them somewhat dry for the next 24 hours and afterwards I would enjoy curled lashes for the next month or so. So far, I am LOVING them. They look natural and not all crazy like some lash extensions can look (which looks fine on others, but not really the look I'm going for). It definitely makes a difference when I only have 5 minutes to get ready for work and I can just spend a couple seconds swiping mascara on. Rickina operates Lashes & A Wink inside the Brittany Nicole hair salon, which is to your left once you enter the shopping center off General Booth. Her space is comfortable and CLEAN, which is of utmost importance. She was so friendly and explained everything she was doing as she went which was nice. I made an appointment to get eyelash extensions but ended up getting a lash removal to reschedule two days later to finally get lash extensions when I arrived for my appointment they told me that they emailed me trying to reschedule and the receptionist is the worst of them all! I started by getting lash lifts with her and loved those results but decided to try out extensions just for fun. They are so nice!
