I've been coming here for over a year for underarm laser treatment. Sandy, the owner and the person who does the services, is super friendly and outgoing. She makes you feel comfortable about whatever procedure you're getting done. Your service is always on time, meaning if your Appt is at 1:00pm, you're in the chair at 1:01pm. I believe they stretch out appts so people are not waiting long. I can appreciate that because I'm in and right out. The laser treatment is a little painful and my first around it left my underarm with like a burnt scab during the healing process. We had to go lower in the setting for the future sessions in which now I have longer treatment sessions. Now I'm good with no issues. I no longer have hair growth and it's been about 4 months now and I and so happy! No more shaving!!! She sells other medical grade skincare and I started using it and now I have a plug for those because I love the results! She doesn't try to upsell you on products or other services. Went in for my first laser resurfacing treatment. The owner Sandy is a straight shooter. I appreciated so much her candor on what to expect, what treatment could and couldn't do. Felt like she was very genuine and honest all around. Once the treatment was underway I knew she was a real pro. Friendly, answered all my questions and I never felt rushed. Aside from me calling to confirm my OWN appointment. Whoever I spoke with was extremely rude on the account im calling to make sure I even still have my appointment because the past few times I called the place it kept going straight to voicemail. The customer service is piss poor and how you talk and treat paying customers needs to be reevaluated. Prior to this I was excited about this establishment and after calling 3 times to get ahold of someone to confirm so still infact had an appointment only to finally get someone on the phone and I receive nothing but attitude that is was 12 mins past my scheduled time how "booked out there were and that me not coming at my scheduled time cost them an hour block" when I TRIED TO CALL TO MAKE SURE BECAUSE YOU DIDNT DO YOUR PART, especially with the line going straight to voicemail. I have only been once but I absolutely love it so far! I get horrible razor burn and in grown hairs, as well as suffer from keratosis pillaris. Even plucking and waxing aggravate my skin leaving awful red and white pimples behind. I just got my underarms done and the difference is AMAZING! The hair that has grown back is so much more fine or just gone all together! Just added on services for my lip and chin to be done at my next underarm appointment! Things that are helpful to know? If you are naturally tan apparently you are not a good candidate to get IPL. With that said, I am not reviewing any procedure because as discovered I was not a good candidate for the procedure I pre-paid and drove 2 hours (4 round trip) to get. It would have been more helpful to find that out when I called *before* I pre paid for the procedure to make sure I could schedule an appointment (because read in their reviews that they were tough to contact and schedule) and that I was buying the appropriate procedure for the skin issue I was having since I wasn't certain which to get. Turns out calling ahead of time didn't solve that issue for me however I was able to get through after a few attempts and scheduling was easy. So that wasn't an issue although I wish now that I had never gotten through and could complain about that instead of the wasted 4 hr trip, plus losing an 1 and half hours I had to take off of work because they couldn't schedule me any later to take the wasted trip and now the ensuing trouble of trying to get my money back. My experience there was lackluster. She at first seemed interested in at least seeing if the procedure would work by testing a small area on my face, which I was open to, heck i'd driven a long time and didn't relish the idea of it being for nothing. But then she decided instead to upsell me something else that she seemed reluctant to do and made sure to tell me "would hurt like a bitch". I was game initially, despite not being excited to be in pain because she didn't tell me it was more. After the pain didn't deter me, she then told me that the procedure she was offering instead was $250 more. At this point I was pretty upset, disappointed and starting to realize that I wasn't getting anything and that the trip had been an entire waste. Waste of gas, waste of money, waste of time AND I had taken off work and lost money to do so in the process. I was officially peeved. I felt they could have given me that info over the phone before I bought the procedure. If that's a thing, if skin tone plays a part in which procedures you can get and someone is asking which procedure they should get, then that's helpful information. It's pertinent. I also felt like she was unsympathetic and didn't really care to try to make anything better. No "would you like a facial instead or some other procedure that is of equal value", no other suggestion at all except to upsell me something she was gonna charge me $250 for. I went online later and discovered that while I had bought the procedure on Groupon and it was discounted to 150, without a Groupon they charge $400 which is technically only a $50 difference then the procedure she was suggesting I needed and I would have been happy to pay $50 more but wasn't prepared to pay $250 more. All in all, I can't comment on their services but I can say the customer service was non existent and they didn't care less about my inconvenience and time wasted and 3 days later I'm still trying to get my money back. Would I recommend them to a friend? NOPE. Not when nicer places exist, where you can get the same services from people who care about your experience enough to make it pleasant. read more

I bought a laser hair treatment on Groupon. The business is privately owned and the owner does the treatments. In my opinion she isn't very friendly. My first treatment was over the summer, I came from the beach and asked if I could use the restroom to rinse off my legs a little more because they were still a little sandy. She told me to just lay down on the table and she would clean them off because she does before every treatment anyway. She was kind of rude about it saying I could ruin her very expensive laser equipment. The laser treatment itself is quite painful to me. I needed little breaks here and there from the pain and she seemed annoyed and on a time crunch. My next visit she was friendlier but there was someone else's hair on the pillow that I lay on, so apparently the table coverings do not get changed between patients... gross!! My third appointment was made and I forgot to write it down in my phone and they don't give you appointment cards. Some time went by and I kept thinking I would get a reminder call for the appointment. I had tried calling a few times to get my appointment date but it's hard to get them on the phone. I finally got them on the phone and I was told I missed my appointment and that I could reschedule but would be charged a $25 cancellation fee. I asked why I didn't get a reminder call and the owner stated that they did. I told her how upset I was about this and she just said "okay". I checked my call log and there was no call from them before for a reminder call or after to let me know I missed my appointment. I contacted Groupon with what happened and was given a refund for my purchase. Extremely unprofessional business and it would be a mistake to spend your money here. read more

I have been going to nu me for about a year. I am as pleased today as I was the very first appointment. Sandy has lazered my leggs, lazered my face for scar removal now she "NEEDELED" my face to help with the scars. It cost about the same as a facial and did not hurt. The very first visit Sandy told me my hair on my leggs was so thick it would take more than 4 sessions. She did not want me to be unhappy. Before any procedure she will be clear with how it will help, if it is right for you and if it will hurt. The office isn't plush but you are not in the office long. I have never waited. And the more plush the office the more you are going to spend on services. I would suggest to visit this office. These women are not young and bubbly. They are knowledgeable and pleasant. This review comes a year after I bought a $99 Groupon for laser hair removal. I thought I was getting a deal. Not so much. Groupon was same value as their in house rates. I buy Groupons because I like getting a special discount. I've had laser hair removal from several different salons, med spas, etc... I've had amazing results after 1 or 2 sessions. Not this place. I feel like they intentionally misled me regarding the cost for the area I was having treated. I reluctantly spent another $40 bucks. I also feel like the laser intensity was lowered in order to retain me as a paying customer. Believe me, I know...I have been having laser treatments for years, on and off. The women (the manager or owner perhaps) was just unpleasant. Offering some backhanded compliments to my mother who I brought along because she was interested in some other cosmetic laser procedure. I've had laser hair removal at 3 different spas in Virginia Beach--this, in my experience/opinion was by far the most unhygienic and unprofessional! I counted over 52 burns on my chin after my first appointment because she didn't have me shave first with disposable razor (like other spas) so the laser targeted the hair/skin. Other spas have little products for each clients--disposable razors, little tubes of cream, little ice packs--this place had none of those. Although she did rub some kind of cream from a big tube...on my burnt, open skin...with ungloved hands...The office itself is really cluttered and dirty. From towels with makeup and hair on it to dusty/dirty jewelry in the window for sale, to the little dog that wanders around. They're also pretty disorganized, no computerized records, often don't answer the phone, usually couldn't find my chart, etc. I LOVE the results of laser hair removal and HIGHLY recommend the procedure to everyone, BUT I would definitely check out some of the other spas in the area instead! I decided to try this salon as it was close to my house and the treatments looked good. I wanted a microdermabrasion which I have had several times before at other salons. I found a groupon and decided to go ahead and make and appointment for Saturday. I walked into the salon and the first smell that hit me was a doggie smell. I personally really love dogs but when you walk into a spa or salon it should smell clean and fresh not like Pet Smart. The woman at the reception desk had no customer service skills whatsoever she was actually rude and not very welcoming, I am not sure why they would hire this miserable Lady to work at the front desk. As I completed the form my thoughts on this place really started deteriorating and I kept saying run as fast as you can just get out but unfortunately it was too late and the Groupon had been purchased. I was finally taken into the back room and requested an eyebrow wax which seemed ok as she did it and then she proceeded with the microdermabrasion lasted about 10 minutes. After she just wiped my face with water and slapped on some cream at the end. The woman talked way too much and the whole thing did not seem professional at all. The room smelled like doggie too I just wanted to get out as quick as I could . Once my ordeal was over I left and went up to the reception desk to pay for my terrible eyebrow wax and she said I didn't owe anything so I left.
