Well, Blake from this company reported my update and the screenshots that I posted of him harassing me with messages and they were removed by yelp, so I will post my update again. On 11/07/16 my furniture finally arrived in Florida after leaving PA on 10/24. The driver, Mosely, and his assistant were professional, polite, and very pleasant. Only 1 small item was damaged. I emailed Sam to file a claim for that item, but never heard back. It isn't worth the time to stress over this company an further. From what should have been a 3-7 business day delivery took almost 11 business days, (my delivery was at 6:45pm) but that isn't as bad as other reviews I have read. I closed my case with the BBB after my delivery and only because there was no significant damage. I still would not recommend this company. read more

I am devastated that I did not read these reviews before booking with this scam of a company. I had someone by the name Chris, who I found out later was fired for the quotes he was giving, give me a bogus quote, was happy to take my money, and then raise the cost by nearly A GRAND only after all of my stuff was packed in the truck. I have had NO updates on the location of all of my belongings and Carl and manager Jon do NOT care at all. I have never ever been treated so poorly as a customer and this nightmare still isnt over. God only knows if Im going to receive my stuff, and I've been honestly afraid to leave a review because I fear retaliation. STAY AWAY FROM THESE THIEVES ! After everything was packed in a NON-DESCRIPT rented truck, the supervisor demanded $700 a "FUEL SURCHARGE "Fee. Wrote it in the invoice and asked me to call the office for CC payment. After my immediate complaint, he stated that a $400 Tip would compel him to overlook the fee. He ripped up the paperwork when I gave him the $400 check. To this date I'm not 100% sure about what kind of scam he pulled. When I asked about insurance, the lady at the office told me they insure by pound, and not by article value, so insuring my heavy valuables would've paid a couple bucks per pound, instead of the hundreds of dollars they'd cost to replace. Our items made it a couple days late- IN A DIFFERENT TRUCK. The delivery guys were different too, and made the process intentionally chaotic. In the end, they lost at least one medium box, with more than $200.00 in electronics. A few boxes were evidently mishandled during the switch, and a 3rd of our china was broken. **BEWARE!!!!*** I wouldn't even give them one star but you have to, to place the review!! I'm sorry this took me so long to write but I will do it now. I moved from New York to Orlando Florida in October and found this company on a website. I hired them to move my carefully packed boxes and furniture safely to my new home in Florida but when they came all my boxes were crushed, they couldn't get the tractor trailer into my apartment complex which they knew about prior so they charge me an extra $600 because they had to put all my belongings into a smaller truck to be able to get it into the complex. My new furniture was chipped and scratched up. When I opened up the boxes I would say a good 40% of my items were broken or boxes were totally missing. They made me count the boxes from what I originally put on the truck but when they left and I opened them to put the stuff away, some of the boxes had nothing in them so they replaced my items with empty boxes. Some of these things are NOT replaceable, like my wedding pictures or things my father gave me when I was younger before he passed away. When I called the company they could not care about anything. I tried to find out about putting in an insurance claim to the company but after reading the small print on the contract it's only 6¢ or 60¢ to every 10 pounds. Relocations R Us completely took advantage of me. I felt as though I was flat out lied to and completely misled by Relocations R Us. My representative, Matt (no last name provided) quoted me at $2,099.79. The movers ended up charging more than double what I was quoted me - $4,256 total - AND that was with a $500 "discount" the mover gave me after I told him how inaccurate my quote was! My representative and I went over my inventory twice and I did not lie or omit anything. In fact, I ended up bringing LESS furniture than what was on the quotation form since none of my coffee tables would fit in my new apartment! That's 4 less glass-top coffee tables than what he quoted on my inventory and it cosy double. How can it be less furniture and cost more than double the original estimate? I have contacted them with my concerns and they did not respond. Honestly, I had anticipated paying a little more, maybe a few hundred dollars - $750 max, but their quote was 100% off! I had to pay an additional $2,156.21. The move I made was for employment, so my employer had agreed to pay the moving costs, however, I had to have prior written approval for the total amount. So I gave them the amount Relocations R Us quoted me and they agreed to pay it. On the day of the move, not only did I not have enough money, but the movers kept pushing me to use cash instead of a personal check and money orders that my representative had told me I could use! I had to pay the difference in the quote vs actual cost completely out of pocket, which I cannot afford. Had Relocations R Us quoted me properly, it would have been covered in full by my employer since all I needed was to have prior approval from them. Relocations R Us is either horrible at quoting moving expenses or they're in the business of lying to people. DO NOT USE THEM!!!! SCAM ARTISTS!!! I have moved 10 times in 11 years, up and down the East Coast and have NEVER had a problem like I did with this company. Long story short, they aren't who they say they are, and they will over charge you a ridiculous amount. We were given an estimate of $1,076 to move our stuff which was only boxes and then when they got to the house they said it could now be upwards of $1,700 because it was more cubic feet than they had calculated, however, they never asked how many cubic feet the move was or gave us the price by cubic foot. Had they done so, we obviously would have consolidated the items. I fought with the administrative people for almost an hour over the phone and then was given a new price, which they swore the actual movers knew about, but when they arrived in NJ (having moved our stuff from CT) they knew nothing of the new price. I paid the price I was given on the phone and let them decide whether the difference would go to the company or to the as a tip. The men actually moving the stuff were very nice and did a good job, I believe they were getting yanked around from someone above them, but I could be wrong. I had a horrible time working with this company. I was quoted( Sammy was the representative) a sum of $1100 for my relocation with double checking my inventory list and me also providing the dimensions of all large furniture. There was only 2 other items that were added finally. It started out by fixing my appointment at 9 am on the moving day without any prior discussion. Sam had promised me that he would call me and fix the appointment which he never did. I then had to speak to mulitple people to get this sorted. He messaged me saying that you either accept or move another day. This was one day before i had to leave the city. However when the packer came he told me that he would tell me the total tally once he packs and moves into the truck. Once done, he said there has been a total of 100 cft extra which would cost me $1600 extra than the original quoted amount of $1100. Sammy was not reachable on the phone to discuss this further. Once they reached to my new destination, they started saying that the truck was long and would not pull up exactly in front of the house and demanded $300 more. The problem here is the people who come for loading and unloading are different vendors and do not belong to the relocationrus company. They are totally unaware of the dealings on what went on between me and the relocationrus company. Finally when i got hold of the manager Carl, he refused to discount and told me to pay. He told me that he would eventually call back and see if i can get a refund. As expected he never called back. I had to fight with the vendors who had no clue and with a company that changes representatives every time you call. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY I am so upset with myself for hiring this company for my move from VA to CT before doing more research. So outrageously unprofessional. I was told that when my things were picked up that the driver would tell me when delivery would be made. He told me Sunday. He didn't call until Sunday night to tell me that he would be there in the morning, but they would no longer accept the check I had given them as payment on pick up- that now they would only accept cash . He texted me saying he would be here at 9am and I needed cash in hand when he arrived. I told him that was sketchy and I wanted to talk to his supervisor (I don't know who his supervisor is, but I had been attempting to contact Matt and Carl since Friday and they wouldn't return my calls). I told him I would get a cashiers check from the bank if they needed guaranteed funds but he told me that was unacceptable and it had to be cash. In response to me saying I wanted to speak with his supervisor he tells me that "you don't want to talk to him now". They didn't show up at 9 like they said they would. When I finally got through on their 1800 number the woman I spoke to was EXTREMELY rude and tried to tell me that the driver would never insist on me paying in cash. I told her I had messages stating that and she blew me off saying she would have someone else talk to me. Eventually Carl called me back and stated that the personal check that was acceptable originally was no longer acceptable (they didn't want to wait for it to clear) and I had the option of cash or postal money order- certified check from the bank was not ok. They finally showed up about an hour ago (4 hours late). They haven't even finished unloading the truck and there is easily $1,000 worth of damage. Legs broken off of dining room chairs (brand new $500 dining room set), a huge hole ripped through the fabric of my $2,000 sleep sofa. The mover said "I told my boss, call the 1800 number". I call and I am directed to call another number for a claim. After calling the number for the claim, I am told I have to file a claim online and someone will respond in several days. Not one person even apologized for destroying my things. This has been the absolute worst moving experience of my life. I can not express more DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. When I started asking knowledgeable questions (I have moved before) the guy got pushy and hard sell. I said just email me the quote and he continued on with the hard sell. They did not delivery my stuff when promised so i had to go out and buy things to get me over a few more weeks. I moved from New York to Florida and I thought they were very friendly, the people that I initially talked with. The movers themselves, the one guy was really late when he came to pick up the stuff. This was my first time being able to hire movers, so I was so excited! I found this company and they quoted me a good deal, $1200, so I put the deposit down and planned every detail with Ed on when I should have them pick my stuff up so it will be there roughly around the same time I would arrive in Texas. They have gave me a window of 1-4 on the day of pick up. They didn't show up until 10 pm! I kept calling the driver and he said oh, another 45 minutes, for hours! Then when they did finally show up, they dropped my boxes, one of which was ornaments, crushing them. After all this, I had to sit in my old place for 2 weeks without anything until I finally left just to get to Texas and them tell me it'll be another 14 to 21 days for my things to arrive because they went off the date I arrived in Texas not the date I had them pick my things up! I was very clear about making sure my things would be shipped as soon as it was picked up so I wouldn't have to sit in an empty house! Then when they finally brought my things 95% of my boxes were crushed, they lost a few things including a tv stand! That's a big thing to lose, and they actually left other people's items at my house. I have called to see what they can do for me and I was told flat out they will not do anything. I just have to file a claim and wait 60 to 90 days. Not only did they charge me an extra 300 for having 4 more boxes than originally quoted, ridiculous! This is the first time using a moving company. The worst experience for my family. First, they show up in a U-Haul truck to pick up and pack our belongings. The crew, except for the leader, does not speak English. Having questions regarding the packing made it difficult. They wrapped and packed our belongings, and we paid extra for that - paid a lot for them taping everything with plastic bags. When paper work is signed after all is packed, I had questions especially regarding the insurance. The crew had no knowledge of this. We were scheduled for delivery and made our way to our new home. When we got there we were informed that the delivery "Time Window" was going to be extended. They told me that by law they have this many days to deliver. We were sleeping on the floor for a week and half waiting for them to deliver. On the date the finally scheduled, we got a call to let us know the truck "broke down" and we do not know when we will be getting our belongings. Finally showed up in another U-Haul truck with our things. Opened truck and all our things were stacked up and most were all crushed. EVERYTHING THEY PULLED OUT HAD DAMAGE TO IT - COVERED IN OIL - RIPPED PLASTIC - CRUSHED - THROWN AROUND. WE EVEN HAD ITEMS FROM SOMEONE ELSES MOVE SO WE DO NOT TRUELY KNOW IF WE GOT ALL OUR ITEMS! How can you break corning ware baking dishes in hundreds of pieces? they may crack but these where thrown around and shattered. There insurance is a crock too, paying for the breakage by the pound! A 45" TV that was totally destroyed we only received $30 in insurance money. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE, VERY NICE GUY SELLING YOU THE SERVICE BUT THEY ARE JUST A USED CAR SALESMAN! Matt said he could offer us a discount because they were already moving another family to Arkansas around the same time. We paid the deposit. We had a money order ready with the exact amount we were told. A man named Anthony showed up and all of a sudden he says the price is 2500.00 dollars. It went up a whole thousand dollars. Will not refer this company to anyone. It took 2 weeks to receive my shipment after several calls to the rep in Florida. When items were pick up the movers were very unprofessional. My items set in NY for a week. The pricing was to high paid. They ask for you to pay before they unpack your items from the trailer so you don't know what is damage or not. All of my boxes were smashed and smelly. Several glasses were broken a television and picture frames. Now when filing a claim they are making you wait 120 days for refund. We had our entire household picked up 30 days ago by this company, and after 2 deliveries from California to Chicago have not received all of our belongings. So many items we did receive were damaged and destroyed. We are not receiving return calls from the managers and never received a claim form we were promised. We were told today by the driver that they saw part of our motorcycle in Sacramento. I am contacting an attorney Monday and the Sheriff in Sacramento to report our items, which have apparently have been stolen. This has been such a nightmare for us. I am one of the many people that were scammed by these people. They came to load my stuff and changed my quote by over a grand once they had all my stuff on the truck, I told them to unload it and they would not unload it without the $. When they came to drop off they conveniently could not get their truck into the apartment parking area and tried to charge me more to go get a new truck. I made them unload my stuff into a parking lot close by and called another moving company to help me get my stuff a half a block to my apartment. My move would have been cheaper if I had rented a different U-Haul truck for every item I have. When my stuff finally arrived it literally looked like it had been thrown down a flight of stairs and stomped on. a third of my things were broken or missing and I got stuff that didn't belong to me. I wish I could give negative stars because this company is a complete joke. They have no professionals to handle your belongings. My boxes arrived crushed and damaged, only to discover extensive broken fragile treasures inside. The original salesman claimed they had they own trucks and crew, that was a lie. He stopped answering my phone calls and I moved to the next stooge. Patrick was only concerned with payment options and then dropped the move on to the next stooge. Carl then took on the move. He too quit answering calls and bungled the scheduling of the balance of our move. Which by the way was split into 2 loads for God knows why. Two thirds of our belongings where sent in a timely manner. The last third which includes my bed and all of my work clothes has been held hostage now for over a month. They do not care about you or your things or their own word at all. Its unbelievable to me that they treat people this way. I was lied to about cost, My items were held "ransom" after they attempted to deliver them to a unknown address a month too early, my things were then tossed, literally, into a storage unit where they awaited for me to arrive to my new destination and then of course I had to pay about twice as much as we were originally quoted. They picked our stuff in a branded truck and delivered a week LATE in a different RENTED truck. Rushed us through our inventory and came 1 box short, with more than $400 worth of electronics missing. Broke a whole box of china, and bent several pieces of metal furniture. They offered ridiculously expensive insurance, which paid by pound so we didn't buy it. These guys are as shady as they come. Demanded a $100 per head tip in order to subtract toll and transpo fees. That may explain why they delivered on a different truck. Probably swapped our stuff to avoid weight stations in the way. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. [EDIT]: My recommendation: Hire moving helpers through Penske, Budget or U-Haul, and drive yourself if you can. I just did, and though it was crazy stressful, we saved more than $3,000. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is cause the guy packing up the stuff was super nice and trying to. E as helpful as he could be. They charge you hidden fees. The guy ed I had talked to said packing would be included. IT'S NOT! I have him a breakdown of my stuff that I rote down all I had. He under estimated me by 300 cubic feet. I had to leave behind my living room furniture and other items because they would've cost me a additional 1000 when in the price quote it was included. Don't go with this company.
