My husband and I had a terrible experience at the Cherry Hill office. He had an appt there with Dr Purewal at 12 pm. We got there at 12 pm, and I signed in for my husband at 12 pm. No one greeted us so we turned to look for a seat. My husband is a chronic pain patient and is in excruciating pain 24/7. The office was crowded and my husband was using a walker. We could barely navigate to a seat because the chairs are packed together tight, and the aisles are tight. We finally sat down and literally sat and waited for over 2.5 hours! This was our first time ever dealing with them so we had no idea how long is the usual waiting time. As we sat there, we saw people being called back and then leaving, but we kept and eye on the couple that came in at the same time we did. They were called back after sitting across from us for about 1.5 hrs. So now were thinking we're next. During this time of waiting, my husband was in so much pain that he fell out of his chair twice(this was witnessed by other patients sitting near us)! After, that couple left, we sat there another half hour waiting. I looked at my husband and told him I think they passed over him. Lo and behold, I was right! I went up to the counter and told the lady that my husband had an appt at 12 pm and we've been sitting here, and was never called(it was now almost 3 pm). I was then asked did we sign in. I told her that I had signed in my husband. Two ladies behind the desk started looking at the sign in sheets and then one of them told me blatantly that I never signed in! I told her that I did sign in and that there were other names on the list. She finally pulled a folder and looked through the pages of sign in sheets. As she looked over one particular page, she looked up with a shocked look on her face, so I then knew she found where I signed in at. My husband then barely made it up to the counter. He asked to speak to the supervisor. The supervisor looked at us like we were crazy and then asked us why did we sit there for 2 hours! I should have asked her who crossed my husband's name out as if he was called back! I told her it was our 1st time being there and we didn't know how things were there or the usual waiting time. They asked did we fill out the paperwork? I asked them what paperwork? She said we were supposed to have received paperwork in the mail as a result of making a appt as a 1st time patient. I told her that we never received the paperwork. She said online it stated that the paperwork was sent out. Again, I told her that we never got it. She then asked me to confirm our address. She then gave me a pack of papers, and told me to fill them out, and that I would have to make another appt for my husband because the doctor left at 2pm for a conference and was no longer in the office! I really felt like crying, but I refuse to break down in this office in front of this staff that was acting like they could care less. One was even smirking. I took my husband out to the car. As we were going to the car we were approached by several patients who said they witnessed when we came in that morning and wanted to know why we were refused service after sitting there all that time. I was there another 20-25 mins completing this pack of paperwork(I filled them out in the car). I took the paperwork back in and was given another appt. We came back for the next appt. This time we waited over an hour to be seen. Once we had been there for an hour, I went up to the desk and asked the supervisor was my husband still being seen(she knew what I was talking about). When we were finally called back, we were told that Dr. Purewal had too many patients to see so Dr Lee was seeing my husband. A nice lady working there saw my husband struggling and offered us the use of a wheelchair(I would include her name but she might come under scrutiny, because the others acted very noncaring/ nonchalant). After all of this, Dr. Lee briefly examined my husband's neck, and then sat down and told us that my husband couldn't be treated there because of the meds he's on!! We asked him could he still work with us to get my husband to the place where he could then be treated by them, and he basically said no. We were both in a state of shock then. All of this, only to be turned away. I now believe that we probably should have never gone there, it was not meant for us to be there. We're not going to give up, and I will never recommend this place to no one. Look before you leap! read more
