My sister and I have been to Kavella Prosthetics and Orthotics several times. Each time has been…read moreso impressive as Summer is so dedicated and creative doing her chosen profession. This past visit we got to see her actual "Mechanical Engineering" talents right in front of our faces. Summer, along with her colleagues right next door, provided a place for my sister and I to stay in their air-conditioned office, because Summer's office air-conditioning had went out. They were so friendly and thoughtful, and were constantly asking if we needed something to drink or eat the entire five (5)-plus hours we were there. Summer and her colleagues would not let my sister leave until she was completely comfortable, with no signs of distress while demonstrating her walking ability using her new prosthetic leg. It was simply amazing to see how Summer and her colleagues made so many ever-so-slight adjustments, that to me, as an observer, I thought could certainly not make such a drastic change and difference. Lo and behold, each time I was given an education on their "magical" talents and how significant those one-quarter screw loosenings and tightenings were in making such a dramatic difference. I am so in awe of these people and their complete dedication to their craft. Summer has been so consistently amazing on each visit by simply demonstrating her God-given gifts and simple brilliance. It is a pure joy to watch her in action. Summer is such a major change from the services we all are getting used to in today's society, and finding her was a complete blessing that I wish everyone could see in person. I cannot highly recommend Kavella Prosthetics and Orthotics more and tell you how wonderful these people are. Go there and get the best service and attention you could never find anywhere else, even if it's a little out-of-the-way. My sister and I drive all the way from Scurry, Texas to Colleyville, Texas, about an hour-and-a-half at best, depending on traffic, and this does not even account for the hour I drive from Richardson, Texas to Scurry, Texas to pick up my sister and take her there, then return again to Scurry, then yet back to Richardson! I hope by informing you of this, you will see how we utterly and truly value Summer's services and trust Kavella Prosthetics and Orthotics. The time spent getting there is in no comparison to benefits we receive. This lady serves as a shining example of how it should be, when a business has the customer's satisfaction as its one-and-only primary goal. Again, "Wow" Summer and Kavella Prosthetics and Orthotics. You are the best!

Her tone was very condescending and unprofessional. Her customer service was very poor. She called me "Ma'am" very rudely even though I told her my first and last name in the beginning of the conversation. As I am very concerned on this root canal procedure as well as the cost. She answered my questions abruptly and curt. Consistently speaking over me. I told her I am asking these questions out of concern to please address me with my first name or last name using Ms. As I was speaking, the phone went silent. I though she had hung up on me. I said, "Hello? Hello?" She finally answered. If she was having a bad day or annoyed by the questions I was asking, she could have NOT answered the phone and allowed me to go to voicemail. This establishment at the Montfort address listed appears to have good intentions regarding their…read morefunctional medicine practice but falls short on delivery and client communication. With a polished website, looking in from the outside, it would seem the practice had clear and comprehensive processes. Unfortunately, the functional medicine side of the practice offered underwhelming service and was a waste of over $1k. If you have serious issues you want addressed look elsewhere. There was a breakdown in communication for the following: -Steps taken after the initial consultation. -Testing protocols, cost, testing location, payment information and responsibilities were not addressed. I called the testing lab twice and was told the order had not been received. Processes were thoroughly explained upon my termination of services. -I was prescribed supplements by Dr Doolittle "to ready my system" and experienced difficulties in tracking down the supplements. I was directed to the "old" office, no one was available to update an address. -Dr Doolittle was informed of adverse reactions I experienced due to the supplements prescribed. They were quick to respond and offered an alternative approach, which was to take one supplement at a time until I discovered which supplement was the culprit. While I appreciated the solution offered, the effects of the supplements were too painful that a trial-and-error approach was not a viable option. - I sent a constructive and polite email to the Dr Doolittle and assistance when I decided the lack of communication was a hinderance to my health and my ultimate success with this practice. Unfortunately, the response from Dr Doolittle's assistant lacked personal responsibility. I did, however, appreciate the Dr Doolittle calling me upon receipt of my email. There are great functional medicine practices in the DFW area with qualified medical doctors; based on my experience with an MD Functional Medicine specialist, the wait is worth it. My advice, take the time to research the "doctor". I take responsibility for not doing my due diligence and allowing my hectic work schedule to interfere with sound judgement. Just because someone claims to be an expert or says they have experience does not always ring true when one digs deeper.
