I will never go back,I thought the staff was ok, but I did not like the way that Dr.Joel Brook was bashing me because I was disabled he questioned why I was disabled and told me that I was able to work with the kind of job I had before and why wasn't I working. I thought that I wasat a disability hearing not a doctor office, let me say this it wasn't his damn business why I was found disabled the judge has already made that decision, his job was to fix my foot problem only. read more

This clinic was simply dirty and not well kept. The front office staff was incompetent- asking for info she already had and would walk off. The physician misdiagnosed the condition as well and we had to see someone else in a different practive. I do not recommend this place. read more

This is an update to my previous review: Dallas Podiatry Works called me back immediately after they found out what had happened. I was able to get booked and took mother to get her out feed done. They did a top notch job and the price was perfect. The last person charged us almost $400.00 and took hours. This was $100 and took one hour. Fantastic! I was super nervous going into my visit as I have had bad experiences with other podiatrists in the past. I told Julio this and he immediately tried to put my mind at ease while filling me in on what to expect. Then I met Dr. O...wow! He spoke plainly, had a great attitude and listened to how I felt and addressed my concerns. When I returned for my procedure I got more of the same from Julio and Dr. O. They kept things light and checked on how I was doing throughout the procedure. The rest of the staff I encountered were very sweet and attentive. I also really enjoyed the decor in the rooms (minor thing but when you are nervous its nice to look at old concert posters and neat photography). Terrible experience. They blow you up with text messages to confirm your apt. Then they threaten to cancel your apt if you don't show up 30 minutes early for your apt. My primary care referred me to this location for hammer toe surgery & I didn't look up specific doctors. I got an appointment with Dr. Brook. That was my mistake. He talks very slow to me (I felt like he was talking down to me like I was stupid) and doesn't answer questions directly/specifically. He wasn't very thorough with explaining the expectations of my possible upcoming surgery, which made me feel very uncomfortable. Their staff is okay, but somewhat unprofessional and didn't seem to have good communication since I waited 25 min to leave the room after the consult. I ended up seeing a different doctor at their location in Dallas and was blown away by the difference of how she spoke to me and explained. She asked why I changed doctors and goes "Bad experience?" And I'm like yup. Can't be the first time she heard that from him. 10/10 don't recommend Dr. Brooks. read more

This doctors office and the dr are terrible people. Dr Brook is the kinda doctor who passes you on the highway in his bmw in the morning unsafely - you know THAT one - HE JUST DOES NOT CARE. His ego is probably way bigger than his shoe size, lets just put it that way...I found him in D magazjne which as it turned out is something he just pays for to have his name included. I have plantar faciatis. Dr Brook told me that if I signed a contract for shock therapy I would get six treatments on my right foot for $600. I was given five treatments out of six that I paid for and it got a little better, but could not work regular hours still. In fact his treatments are not effective at all in the long run. And, if you bring that up he will say - you arent stretching right then, you just need more PT but PT disagrees. So which one is right?! Oh, and he will not recommend injections bc the shock therapy is a cash business and its more expensive. After the pandemic, I returned bc my pain was really bad again and they said oh you only get however many treatments the Dr. decided to give you...So, basically I dont get my last treatment and they owe me $100 for 1/6th of the treatment I paid for and didnt get. Now what kinda doctor would do that if he knows Im still in pain - its not about the amount its about QuALITY and INTEGRITY. Additionally, their treatments are so minimally effective. The orthotics ($500) dont really help, the shock therapy ($650) lasts less than injections do. The doctor, after his expensive treatments dont work, puts the blame on you, over and over. Oh, and their terriible office manager Jordan who probably only has a high school diploma called me a single day before my appointment to tell me that I would not be seen anymore bc I had expressed concern before. And, I live two hours away (4 hrs total). So, I came here for NO reason and they called to give me an appointment REMINDER earlier this week on Monday for this appointment. Ive been in pain the whole time and couldve gone somewhere else by now had I known that. Now, if you had any human dignity, wouldnt you call as soon as you knew you wouldnt see me anymore, which was the time I made that appt, according to them. This is actually the SECOND time the office has NOT called me about something IMPORTANT. The other time, they randomly decided that I pay the full remainder on my contract ($350) when I arrived, for no reason, and never notified me before I showed up. It was the day before I got paid, so I again wasted a huge trip. THEY BRAKE CONTRACTS Jordan, the "office manager" is a glorified medical assistant with no bachelors degree...she didnt even know how to read a contract. She said that the contract says that I dont get a refund if I break the contract but actually THEY broke the contract so it doesnt apply. Invest in smarter people, and maybe you would have a decently run business. I have three college degrees and am working on my masters in healthcare - it didnt take me long to realize the kind of people I was dealing with. I'm battling a common runner's problem: Ugly toenail. A previous podiatrist I'd visited kept me waiting in the lobby for upwards of an hour, plus removed my toenail one time (a horrible experience I don't wish on anyone). So I opted for someone new and took a chance on DPW. I really like Dr. Northcutt. Funny, measured in his treatment plan and willing to talk about other foot issues related to running and my freakishly narrow feet. He's a good guy. And I trust him. And I only had to wait 15 minutes in the lobby - which made me feel like a winner all around. Free garage parking right next to the medical tower. Super easy and super convenient. read more

Been coming to this location all summer and will for a few more months. This location was recommended by medical city Dallas. I fractured two metatarsals on my foot over the summer and when They examines my xrays my doctor determined i needed corrective surgery. About a week out I had surgery at medical city Plano. Since surgery I visited weekly for about 6 weeks to help change my bandages and do xrays on my progress. I purchased a high quality grade air walker cast boot which has been doing its job and protecting me. The location is between the Baylor Scott and white facilities in Plano. The office has a few Medical assistants and they have a few items you can purchase there like orthopedic inserts or medical supplies. Beware prices are Little high but if you are pressed for time and avoid driving to stores you can get it here. Staff is friendly and they send you text reminders about you appt coining up read more

First let me start by saying Dr. Northcutt was 5 stars, hands down, an excellent doctor! Background: Broke my foot on 10/16/17 and went to appointment to see Dr. Northcutt on 10/17. Doc was awesome and very nice, only interacted with operational staff that took our payment and she was polite. On Friday the 20th at 11am I called DPW and asked about getting a temporary placard to park in a handicap spot, AT was very helpful and gave me her email to send it to her. Friday came and went with no response. I was not expecting anything on Saturday or Sunday. Then Monday 10/23 and Tuesday 10/24 went by with no response. On Wednesday 10/25 I left a message on the assistants line at 8:25 am and then another one at 11:26 am. Finally got a call back at 11:33 am to which the assistant told me that they never got my email. While I was on the phone I verified the email twice and it was correct. I then sent the email two more times, both time she did not receive the email, the file was 600k so it was not too big. I asked her to check her spam and nothing. She gave me a second email address to send my email too. Again, not received. She then proceeded to give me her personal gmail address which I emailed as well, wallah! she received it. Now they had the document and I was told she would make sure it got done. At 1:46 pm I received a VMail from DPW to which I called back at 2:07 pm. The lady I spoke with was in the Dallas office and said everything was ready for me to pickup. I asked if I could pick it up in the Plano office on Thursday morning and she said yes it would be ready. I asked what time the Plano office would be open and she said 8-4. On Thursday 10/26 I went to the Plano location of DPW with my wife and retrieved the paperwork, to my surprise there was only a signature of the doctor on the form and none other of the required information. Having never done this before I thought these people must know what they are doing so I took the paperwork to the Collin County Tax Office and crutched my way all the way in the building and through the line only to be told they were very sorry but I needed an actual prescription for a placard or a notarized signature. I was pissed. So I called the Dallas office and asked if they had the paperwork and they said yes, I asked where they were located and they said second floor and take a left then another left off the elevators. So I decided to go to the Dallas office at Medical City Dallas (What a cluster #^$%! that was) First, we ended up parking at building C and so I needed to crutch all the way to building A, finally got to building A, crutched past the fountain to the elevators, went up the elevator and then I went left and left again (no office), then went left again and all the way down the hall was their location. If they had told me to go right, right, left, right left off the elevators I would have been there a minute or so earlier but instead it took me four minutes to cutch myself all the way around the building. Now we're in the office and asking for our paperwork and everyone looks at us like we're idiots. Finally someone hands us the paperwork and it the originals of the copy handed to us at the Plano office. We ask them to please fill out all the information on the form including the Doctor's license number and to please provide us with a prescription for the temporary placard. Again, everyone looks at us like we're stupid and don't know what we're talking about. After fifteen minutes of standing around waiting for them to do a job they were already supposed to have done we finally had all the paperwork we needed. We left and I was thankful my wife picked me up at the building entrance because by this time I had developed serious crutch abrasions under both arms to the left and right of my chest (painful). We made our way back to the tax office and now have our temporary placard for parking. Yay! Follow-up: This morning 10/27 I get a call from someone at DPW telling me my paperwork is ready for pickup in Dallas. I told her the above and she said "The printer was broken which is why they were having such a problem in the Dallas office". What a joke! She then stated "Well it's a good thing you got it." Then I get an email from AR, Dr. Northcutt's assistant stating "This has to be completed on Moday, Dr. Northcutt is out of the office." to which I replied "I already have it but thanks anyways. I'll be leaving my review and terrible experience on Yelp." AR proceeded to call me and I read her my review. She said she was very apologetic and said she would share my experience with Dr Northcutt and her supervisor. I told her that all of this seemed to be lack of process when it comes to these requests, mere training and an understanding of the process would make the staff better at responding. read more

This practice is horribly managed! THREE TIMES IN A ROW (today being the third), I have had an appintment at 8:00 am, and all three times, the nurse I am waiting to see, is either not available, or like today, simply does a no-show! This practices sends multiple reminders of the upcoming appointment via both text and email, emphasizing and stressing how important it is for me, the patient, to be on time, while they themselves clearly do not share that same obligation and respect for me. Their practice culture is all about them, NOT about you the patient. Even today, when I ask to meet the office manager, she makes me wait several minutes before coming to see me. I've managed many physician practices myself in my career, so when a patient asks to speak to the office manager regarding an operating issue, i expect that person to get up from whatever they are doing (clearly no emergency issue is going on, so why wait to finish something that can be done after this conversation), and immediately go talk to that person. That's what patient care and respect is about, but that perspective or office culture is not maintained here! I would like to give this practice NO STARS, but the Yelp system does not allow it. Anyways, as the saying goes, PATIENTS BEWARE! I've terminated my business dealings with this practice, effective immediately! read more

I have been a pt of Dr. Brooks for several years. He in general is a nice dr, but the last time that I saw him I dont know what his problem was. I have seen him several times for a severe fungal infection that I have on my toes. I have always felt that he has blow me off. He has " perscribed" if u want to call it that this nail polish like stuff for $59.00 + dollars that u "polish" on that never ever worked and I finally said enough is enough. I was ready online that there is a laser treatment now there are doing to kill toenail and nail fungus for good. So I said this is me, I cant to the oral antifungal agents due to some I reaction to some of the other meds that I take. So I made am appt with him to discuss the laser treatment him. I get to my appt, have me fill out cosillion forms which I did online. Ok fine. Get to the room, the ma is asking me all the surgery questions, what's that she asks I never heard of that? Why this why that? I finally said I am here for my feet not for a head to toe physical. She would not stop grilling me. Then Dr. Brook gets in the room, why are you hear today. Very very harsh. Almost screaming at me. I tell him why I there. Oh yeah yeah yeah I can fix that. I am going to take a biopsy of that and see what it shows. I am thinking what BIOPSY WHAT, I AM HEAR FOR A FUNGUS, then after a little bit a much annoyance on his part said he needs that to see if it is a fungus or not. I said just look at it, its fungus. He was very very annoyed by my questions. He very quick to throw at you the most expensive treatment. He told me one price now Jessica called me on the phone and it's going to be 600.00 and it may not even work. read more

As a first time podiatry patient with a psoriasis nail issue I was very hesitant about seeing a doctor for this issue. When my rheumatologist saw my problem she was very concerned about possible infection and told me I could lose my toe. She recommended Dallas Podiatry Works and I made the first appointment possible with Dr Nam Tran. Dr Tran and his assistant made me feel at ease and even though I needed a nail and some granular tissue removed they used a cold spray before injecting the anesthetic and I can honestly say the whole process was very comfortable. I felt no pain either from injecting the anesthetic or subsequent removal of nail and tissue. I was given a prescription for oral antibiotics and was seen again in 10 days. I felt no pain or discomfort after the anesthesia wore off or during my 10 day recovery period. It's been 2 1/2 weeks now and practically back to normal, well except for my nail growing back. No pain during the whole process, Dr Tran is a remarkable podiatrist. I would highly recommend Dr Tran and his assistant and extremely nice office staff. It is so assuring to have a professional like Dr Tran on standby should I ever need his services or even routine maintenance again. Dr Tran practices in Plano and in Medical City in Dallas which is very convenient. Easy in and out and plenty of parking. Very nice and personable doctor! read more

Review of the Medi-Cure: (medical pedicure) If I could leave a review of ZERO stars, I would do it. In fact, negative stars would be better. My mom was having some foot issues, so I scheduled her for a Medi-Cure thinking it would be nice for her, plus at a doctor's office for consultation. As we learned, sadly, at this podiatrist's office, a Medi-Cure includes toenail clipping, filing, trimming of cuticles, and buffing of calluses. No lotion, no scrubbing, no polish. In fact, no water either. A big letdown. They "prescribed" two topical treatments for her toenails that were $40+ each. And, when we asked to see the actual doctor to confirm diagnosis and treatment plan, we were told that she'd need to make a separate appointment. So, she made follow up appointment to combine a doctor's appointment with a Medi-Cure. Upon arrival, had to fill out complete new patient forms AGAIN because they "have a new computer system and can't transfer patient records". Also, my mom learned that despite the fact that she had made the duel appointment IN PERSON, she was only scheduled for the doctor. UGH. She saw the doctor (a 10-minute visit), but won't be back for another Medi-Cure. We're done. Skip this. A nice salon pedicure plus OTC treatments are better for your wallet and blood pressure. read more

First visit to Dr. Brook today. Not having any problems, just getting foot checkup. There was a delay of 1/2 hr due to Dr. was only Dr. there and was delayed in surgery. But everyone was very pleasant and kept me informed of delay. Quick, thorough exam. All questions answered, plan of care reviewed. Best of all parking was free. read more
