Horrible customer service and scheduling. We were paired with them via Tesla for the removal of solar equipment, only to be notified they wouldn't show up for the service more than twice and only a few minutes before and after each appointment; once due to "rain" that was never forecasted, and second time less than 30 minutes before the appointment's time -- after it was raining for two days straight. Nevertheless, had to take time off work and put up with their "no-shows." Utterly unreliable. ***Update*** Once the team showed up, it only turned worse - on day one the team showed up 30 minutes late and without all the material for the repairs, requiring them to come back again. On day two - the team showed up 3 hours late without so much as a phone call, text, or email - our time meant nothing to them. On day three - the team showed up again almost an hour late, with a promise to finish as scheduled that day. Then, notified us they needed to come back for the additional day due to all of their prior delays. On day four, Saturday, they promise to show up at 7 to allow us to continue with weekend plans, only to show up at 12 pm and not leave until almost 6 pm. Absolutely ridiculous management and even poorer execution. Needless to say, we were lied to throughout the process, to cover for their incompetencies. read more

UPDATE- we had a leak start, and we reached out to Reliance close to 48 hours ago and have not heard A WORD about them coming out to fix THEIR PREVIOUS WORK. They told us they needed to look up our paperwork. Not impressed again. We paid thousands of dollars for a warrantied roof that is leaking and needs to be addressed and repaired. read more

Literally won't give me a quote. They came out to take a look at our roof and we're really nice and told me they would send a quote later that day. I didn't get anything by end of day so I called and they called me back really quickly. Said they would get me a quote within next two days. Just got a call from Moses saying that since I'm working with my insurance they need the itemized assessment before they can give me a quote. I said the insurance has already cut a check to us we just need to know your pricing. If your pricing is above what they have allotted then we can request a change to the insurance. I told him we have gotten like 4 other quotes just like that they send it to us and we can decide to move forward (only reason we haven't gone with one of those companies is due to timing and things like that) he says, then if you got 4 other quotes I guess your good then. I said so does that mean you're not sending us a quote he says yes and that was it. So much for supporting local business. read more

I contacted reliance roofing early 2020 to repair a leak at my grandparents house. I figured the high price was worth it for the security of the 2 year warranty. They did not repair the leak the first time and were consistently unreliable coming back. After several months of it still leaking and a few attempts to fix it, the warranty eventually expired. We purchased a complete re roof on our concrete tile roof with Reliance 2 yrs ago. Tommy was helpful but turned out he was just a smooth talker. The job was nothing but problems from the start. We even had the employees come to our door twice wanting to get paid, because no one had paid them. Tommy had excuses excuses. We stated we wanted the roof permitted but discovered Reliance hadn't pulled a permit so we pulled it ourselves. City found numerous errors. Eighteen months into the new roof, a leak and damage to our hardwood floors. Called and spoke with Ashley who promised to send someone. No one came. Tried again, same thing. Calls are now going to voice mail, over and over. No return call. Sent a certified letter explaining the situation. Nothing. Decided to use a different phone because I figured they now recognized our number. Ashley picked up, apologized and said they would send someone in 3 days. I told her this was the last chance, we were prepared to take the next step...surprise, surprise, they had any opening that afternoon! Guy shows up with a ladder and a can of mastic, which we learned later you DO NOT use on concrete tile roofs, you use mortar. He takes pictures of the roof and the interior damage. We asked him to send the picture of the roof repair to us...never got them. We hired an independent roofing inspector to inspect the roof and give us a detailed description of the defective workmanship along with photos. They were numerous. We found through the California State License Board (using their license number) the insurance company they have a bond with. We filed a claim. We sent the report, list of problems from the start, list of dates we had tried to contact them, copy of certified letter sent to them. It took months but they concluded that Reliance roofing was at fault, so much so that we received a FULL refund for our roof. Now for the damages. Their insurance company pays to repair the defective workmanship BUT they do not cover any damages that defective workmanship causes. They suggested we contact our homeowners insurance company. We did and our homeowners insurance company does not cover any damages due to defective workmanship only if in a storm, tiles flew off and water got in and damaged the floor. So, the California State License Board tried through mediation to get our damages paid for, they have given them pat answers and have done nothing. The License Board has now sent our complaint to their Investigation Department. We believe this company should not be in business. They are taking advantage not only those of us who enter into a contract with them but also those employees that they do not pay in a timely manner. All they had to do was honor the contract and pay for their errors. Hopefully, once the investigation is over, they will no longer have a license to take advantage of people. DO NOT USE!!! I called for a proposal to tie my new covered patio into my roof. Of course, the estimators showed up and didn't pay attention to the tie in and decided to walk around the rest of my roof, I heard the senior roofer say my house was "Mickey mouse" about 20 times which in the construction industry means "cheesy or shitty". The senior roofer asked me to hop on the roof to tell me about a "major issue", when I hopped up on the roof he could not find the issue for 10 minutes. He then proceeded to RIP off my shingle desperately to find and show me a nail that was "too close" to a seam under my shingle and said "in the future this could leak".. He then proceed to try and rip a second shingle off my roof as hard as he could until I told Him to STOP. I asked if he was going to fix the shingle and he told me it will fix itself and proceeded to tell me how he has been doing this for 40 years and knows more then anyone 5 times. Today, 1 day after he tore off 2 of my shingles it is now pouring rain. I have never had a roof leak but now I am in fear I will have one Due to the damage he caused. Extremely unprofessional, condescending and conceited. Two Thumbs down I would make them come back to fix the damage but am in fear that they will cause more. read more

We were in need of a new roof, soon. We got several bids and ended up going with Reliance Roofing. Joe showed up for the estimate on time and explained what needed to be done. He walked us through the whole process and answered all of our questions. Within 4 days, we decided to go with Reliance. He called us on a Friday and wanted to know if it was ok to start on Saturday (the next day). We were absolutely good with that. Joe's crew showed up bright and early, under the supervision of Vincent. Joe showed up often to communicate with the crew and Vincent. The whole job was completed in 2 days. I made contact with Reliance after a coworker advised they used them for roof repairs and were very satisfied with the work they performed. I called a company that inspected my home and provided an estimate, but they were not returning my calls and emails requesting to schedule the work. I made contact with Moises @ Reliance and I must say was he was very quick to respond, professional and very accommodating to schedule a day for an estimate; this call was after another company did not show up to inspect and provide an estimate for work. The 1st company finally called @ 7:30am today, (16 days after the inspection) that they would be at my house at 10:30am today/same day and completed the work. I hope all is well, but will not know until the rain comes next week. If problems occur I will be calling Reliance Roofing for my future roof needs. We had major leaks on our roof in several areas while it was raining, and it was going to rain for the next several days. We contacted five roof contractors because we were desperate. Tommy of Reliance Roofing was the only one that returned our call. He showed up the next day, inspected the roof, and explained details and costs. He answered all our questions. We agreed to his contract. A few hours went by when a few gentlemen showed up to place a tarp over the roof. As soon as the weather permitted, repair work began. Tommy obtained permit requirements, was keeping us informed of all work, using the latest tech to show us pictures of the roof (a drone), showed up early in the morning, and left at sunset.
