He was definitely not happy to have to put out luggage in his van. We loaded two suitcases upfront with us. We gave him the address that was 4 miles away. His sign said $2.75 per mile but he said $25 flat fee. We agree to the price. On the way to our vehicle he asked why we didn't use a hotel shuttle. He stopped at our vehicle and as he unloaded a couple suitcases I unloaded the others and was placing them in our car. My wife paid him and he started swearing at her about a tip and said to use the shuttle next time. He never put anything in his computer or called in on his radio like I see all other cabs do before they start the route. I am sure he pocketed the money dishonesty to the company he drives for. Never again will we use this company. If I wasn't with I don't know what he would have done to intimidate my wife and kids. This man deserves to be fired immediately!

The driver decided to take a route to my…read moredestination that was not any of googles top provided routes and when I asked why he was choosing to go so far out of the way to get me to my destination he said it "wasn't safe" to drive through the city. The most direct AND fastest route per google was through Highland Park! The most bougie area of St. Paul save the mansions on Summit Ave. The google route was 10 miles and the route he took was 6 miles longer so an extra $15 ($2.5 per mile). He kept dismissing my questions about the route as though I didn't know what I was talking about because I had to be dropped off at a business before going home so I believe he assumed I was a visitor that didn't know the geography of St. Paul. If he had just owned up to milking the meter at that point, I would have been cranky but he kept dismissing my questions and I was getting increasingly frustrated being held captive in a moving vehicle that was charging by the mile, so I attempted to call and complain. Since I was directed to his cab by color/type of vehicle at the cab stand at Terminal 1, I didn't know the name of the cab or the driver info and nothing was noticeable in the back seat. When I did finally get the name of the cab from him, I called and the number on yelp rang to disconnected. No person picked up, no voicemail identifying the company, just rang to "call cannot be completed at this time" which is not at all allowed by MSP pick up rules and Shady AF. So I pulled up the Terminal 1 customer service number and asked to be transferred to the cab stand. The person there was helpful as an intermediary, but the driver still resisted providing his name, cab number, and even route he was taking to the cab stand. Eventually, the cab stand was able to get the cab number from him and look up who he was, but the driver still refused to answer any other questions. Eventually, we get to the destination and paid him for the 16 miles vs the 10 miles as I was too worked up at that point to argue for the 10 miles and the MSP Cab stand was filing a complaint on my behalf but I am still pissed about this. It is NEVER appropriate to take a woman traveling solo on a non-stated route and then refuse to provide a valid reason for doing so and also refuse to identify yourself. This is the f***ing cold open to several SVU episode and even though I don't particularly think I'm going to be an easy target for assault it is still something that EVERY woman is aware of as a possibility. This cab company is so unprofessional and should be banned from MSP pick ups if they are going to routinely milk the meter, disparage our city, and put customers in unsafe traveling situations. Ttl;dr First I am dismissed and ignored (enough of an insult) then I am put in danger by not following a GPS route and the driver refusing to identify himself, his cab, or his company.
