I appreciate that they include gratuity in the price (I often don't have cash on me). The cars are always clean and comfortable. The drivers are always courteous and friendly. If you want to talk, they will talk. If you feel like being quiet, they respect that. They have always arrived early. Given that most of my cab experiences in the Twin Cities involve dirty cabs, sketchy drivers, questionable traffic choices, etc., I would much rather pay a flat fee knowing that I will be comfortable and in a clean vehicle and that if I were to fall asleep, I would not find that my driver took "the scenic route." $60 one way for a car to the airport includes gratuity. Not bad. One time they sent an Escalade to pick me up. When I raised an eyebrow, the driver indicated he needed to do a pickup at the airport anyway, so I enjoyed my upgrade in ride to MSP. Nice!

Once for $65 and again for $85. I texted the number on his card to try and give him the benefit of the doubt and let him make things right. He refunded me the $65 but proceeded to be extremely rude and argue about the $85 saying that he should have left me there with my phone dead and that Uber would have charged me $75. Which, apparently gives him the right to fraudulently charge my card an amount that we did not agree upon. This guy is out to take advantage of people. He has no meter, just a Square to run your card and apparently will charge you whatever he feels like. I hope that people spread the word so that this doesn't happen to someone else.

He didn't seem to care, So we needed to get to Boston that night for a flight out early the next morning. At that moment, Northern Lights Taxi, who had brought us from Lake Placid to Saranac Lake Airport, was unloading our bags. He saw our trouble and made a few calls to other airports. None would help, so Derrick of Northern Light Taxi Service said he would take us to our Hotel in Boston. We loaded our stuff, and he got his co-pilot, Geneva, and for the next 5 hours or so, drove us through the rain and traffic to the hotel. We talked and learned about the cities and areas we rode through that night. When we got home, Derrick called to check if we had indeed made it back. In closing, if you are in need of a taxi service that you can trust to get you from point A to point B, then our recommendation is Northern Lights Taxi Serves.

I figured it would be dirty and dumpy like most cheap weekly rate motels, but i was pleasantly surprised. Although it is an old motel, it is the cleanest motel I've ever been in. When they clean your room, you get all new bedding, fresh rugs and replace all the linens. Not just towels and sheets like other places. Thank God, there are not bugs here! They have a dock with really great fishing, a bonfire area, and I believe they even do small boat and kayak rentals. The staff have been wonderful. There is a laundromat on the property as well. If you need a place to stay for a week or two, you cant beat it for only 275$! I would stay here again in a heartbeat and definitely recommend it to anyone needing a temporary home.

Once we got to our room we were immediately overwhelmed with the smell of dirty socks and rancid beer. There was peanuts and trash on the floor and a "mystery" wet spot. To top it all off, someone's artificial nails were picked off and left in the nightstand. There was nowhere else for us to go because all places in a 50 mile radius were booked (Labor Day weekend). Needless to say, we spent most of the night in our car until we were exhausted and went and slept on the bed with our linens and pillows. In the morning, the awful smells were overpowering the tree air fresheners we had hung in the room. We left ASAP and will never go back, even if we were paid.

I didn't know what to expect, it's cool there's tents and tables where you can picnic with your own food/drink. The lazy river/splash pad is on the other side from the slides so if you have kids in different age groups you're bouncing back and forth. You can tell they are due for some upgrades, a lot of stuff is run down. I see they are building a pool, that will be a great addition but I'm sure the prices will increase, it definitely adds up quick when you have multiple children. I will say I didn't know who was staff and who wasn't, a lot of the employees weren't in uniform, it seems safety isn't a huge concern for the employees, I saw a lot of kids being disrespectful towards other kids in the water, pushing, kicking with no warning. Prepare your kids to fend for themselves or be sure to keep an eye out.
