It helped that we spent 10 minutes with them before anything was moved to go through everything that needed to be moved and where. This made the move more efficient, and I felt taking the time to plan and communicate really worked well. I would recommend them. I see others have left negative reviews saying they were rude. All I can say is that it may be highly dependent on the particular movers who show up. Our were very nice and friendly.

They overcharged me and still they left my stuff in my previous home. They hide it on the stairs. They put my fridge and my heaviest stuff in the parking and they didn't put in my suite they charge me $1779 and scam me., even though I paid them in front of the police.for few hours didn't work but charged me . This is the fake They don't have any truck to their name and they are renting the U-Haul.. they are trying to get more to get more money from people. They shouted at me I'm the swear had with all the if you talk, we are going to lift and we are going to lift your stuff on the street. Give me and ignored my requests about where to put my belongings. They damaged my my broke my stuff. Encouraged my landlord to not stay in that apartment. I am so bad person and all the time in front of me and behind me was talking about me. I was pay. I hired them but what they did to me. The whole experience was unprofessional and unacceptable

I've moved around often for work but have never actually been in a situation where I had to take…read moreall of my stuff with me across the country. As easy as they make it sound on all of those downloadable 'Plan Your Move' checklists you find online, all I could think about were all the horror stories I'd heard from friends and colleagues over the years about stuff getting broken, things going missing or in one case, not delivered at all! I contacted several companies for estimates, I'm not sure how many there were in total but most never responded or their websites didn't work so I guess that made it easy to rule them out ; ) Of the companies that I did receive responses from, QMM immediately made themselves the obvious choice and I'm very happy to leave a review for them here. Before even reaching out for estimates, I was concerned that since I was only a one-bedroom apartment , that this would put me at the bottom of the priorities pile. However, when I spoke to QMM on an initial phone call, I was surprised at the time they took to ask me questions, explain their process of how they generate price estimates and even how to go about wrapping/protecting certain furniture items as well as how they usually help with wrapping and packing different types of items so they don't get damaged. I received a detailed price estimate based on the list of items I told them I would be moving the next day as promised. From the time I went forward with the estimate to the time when the movers came on moving day, I had a dedicated contact who kept me in the loop on the move date and times, on what I needed to do paper work-wise (as I was moving from the NYC to Vancouver, Canada) and everything in-between. The day of the move was as stressful as I ever could have imagined but the guys were so friendly and professional and they took great care with all my stuff. At this point I told myself 'ok don't get too excited something could still go wrong!' Per the updates from my QMM contact, the truck rolled up at my new place exactly on-time. The guys who delivered here were super nice and got all my stuff into the house awesomely fast and organized - and everything accounted for. I know this is a long review but when I was searching for companies to contact the reviews really helped me in my research so I hope that this will help someone else. I can't recommend QMM and the whole team there enough. Everyone I came in contact on the phone or in person was awesome and I would not hesitate to call them again.

They charged me packing, shuttle and transport fees based on "actual weight of…read more4300 lbs" and when I contacted them to say that I knew my goods could not possibly weigh that much, said they would not release my goods until I paid $6000USD in full. After I paid in full, they admitted the shipment actually weighed 3700 lbs, and offered to refund a small portion of the transport fee only. Their "full service" was supposed to include certain of my items being clearly labeled and put aside for my quick access, but this never happened. I had paid a lot of money to have those items sorted and put into a separate pile for this purpose. Their accounting department made multiple mistakes that cost me over $260USD in bank fees, for which they only offered to reimburse $130. They arranged to have my car transported, and it arrived damaged, for which I had to submit a claim. My attempts at resolving the situation only resulted in a rude email from them stating they would make "no further adjustments to my invoice," other than deducting the $130 bank fees.

It was a two-parter: half my belongings into storage before showing the place, and the rest after selling. The first move went well; the movers were efficient and organized and took good care of my things. They arrived at each of the three drops before I did and handled everything professionally and in a friendly way. One was an owner. The second move was frustrating and upsetting. The movers took a break without communicating to me where they were going but simply disappeared. They left grease marks on my carpet with the cart wheels, showed up at each drop 10 minutes after I did, and broke the legs of my antique desk, a family heirloom, by dragging it across carpet instead of picking it up. Worst, they packed my storage locker with no room to enter or move, and with all the furniture at the front/entrance. If I could move furniture, I would have done the move myself! When I reported my concerns, I received a fairly prompt response. After a conversation with the owner who had been present for the first move, I felt confident things would be resolved. He offered to come to my storage locker with a second mover and reorganize it; to assess the damage to the desk and either repair it himself or recommend someone and cover the cost; and to compensate me for the movers' downtime during the second move. But he has now postponed doing these things two weeks running, and when I asked for a commitment to a date and time, I did not hear back. I spent close to $1800 on a 1BD apt move and whereas I started out prepared to recommend the company, I'm now frustrated and afraid I've been left with problems of someone else's making that I am going to have to pay more to solve. I want the resolution of these issues to be made a priority for Jiffy Move, and to have a committed date and time for that resolution to happen.

Out of ten moving companies that I contacted they were the only ones that returned my emails and phone calls. I decided to book them because the woman in the office was very friendly and professional. Things were a little different on moving day. The moving crew was over an hour late and shall we say dubious. There was a "supervisor" who talked on his bluetooth the whole time and was difficult to communicate with because of his broken English. The two guys doing the actual moving were nice enough, hard workers, and very careful (maybe because we were watching them so closely), but I suspect they were day laborers picked up en route. One guy had cowboy boots on. If you were a professional mover, would you want to wear cowboy boots the entire day?! Anyway, they unloaded our stuff in a reasonable amount of time, didn't break anything or damaged our walls, were dirt cheap, and did not quibble when it came time for payment. If I had to do it again, I would have looked for someone a bit more reputable and only accepted a morning appointment.

It was a snowing day and I was so worried about them not showing up or being late. They arrived on time and did a very good job. They were very careful about my furniture, using blankets to wrap my furniture all the time. There was a supervisor on site as well. Although his English was poor, he was friendly and did try to make sure everything was fine. The moving cost is quite reasonable. I would definitely recommend Max Moving to my friends.
