This moving company is anything but jiffy. Worst move I have ever experienced. Arrived one and a half hours late. One mover was so rude and never stopped talking. Charged $800.00 over the estimate. Payment was by a credit card that was rarely used. Found out that the card was used by fraud to book rooms in Abbotsford and Coquitlam. Will never recommend this company to anyone. read more

I came across Jiffy Move while searching the neighborhood for another business, and because of the helpfulness of the owners, decided to use them for my upcoming move. It was a two-parter: half my belongings into storage before showing the place, and the rest after selling. The first move went well; the movers were efficient and organized and took good care of my things. They arrived at each of the three drops before I did and handled everything professionally and in a friendly way. One was an owner. The second move was frustrating and upsetting. The movers took a break without communicating to me where they were going but simply disappeared. They left grease marks on my carpet with the cart wheels, showed up at each drop 10 minutes after I did, and broke the legs of my antique desk, a family heirloom, by dragging it across carpet instead of picking it up. Worst, they packed my storage locker with no room to enter or move, and with all the furniture at the front/entrance. If I could move furniture, I would have done the move myself! When I reported my concerns, I received a fairly prompt response. After a conversation with the owner who had been present for the first move, I felt confident things would be resolved. He offered to come to my storage locker with a second mover and reorganize it; to assess the damage to the desk and either repair it himself or recommend someone and cover the cost; and to compensate me for the movers' downtime during the second move. But he has now postponed doing these things two weeks running, and when I asked for a commitment to a date and time, I did not hear back. I spent close to $1800 on a 1BD apt move and whereas I started out prepared to recommend the company, I'm now frustrated and afraid I've been left with problems of someone else's making that I am going to have to pay more to solve. I want the resolution of these issues to be made a priority for Jiffy Move, and to have a committed date and time for that resolution to happen. read more

Avoid these scammers at all costs. I was stupid and used them twice. Once to move my stuff into a storage unit and once to move it into a new apartment. They were exceptionally to the building manager at my old building, then took over an hour to get down to storage which was 5 minutes away. The truck was completely packed and there was no reason for it to take that long. Plus they kept pressuring me for a tip, saying how they made 50 bucks each from this person, 40 bucks each from that person. It was a one bedroom apartment and there wasn't much to move. So on the second move I waited for them before we left the storage place. They kept telling me to go ahead and I said no, I'll wait for you. They still managed to scam an extra 30 mins out of me by saying the young guy had stomach problems. Again with the pressure to tip, which I did because I am a people pleaser. Overcharged both times by them scamming extra time, and hounded into tipping both times. My cheap stereo also disappeared in the move, as did a few other things. These guys are pure garbage. Slowwwwwwwww.... 2br apartment which was partially emptied the day before. 7 min drive. Took 3 guys 5 hours before the travel time hour. They told me with three it wouldn't take more than 4 hours tops and would take two guys 5-6. I guess they missed that memo. Not enough carpet runners = dirty carpets in the new place, dinged my walls, no wardrobe boxes, FILTHY truck so everything had a coating of dirt (including those shoes on the new carpet) During the 7 min drive they chose to get gas too and charged that to us so it was a 30 min drive. They took two 20 min breaks in addition to the leisurely drive which wouldn't matter to me if they were moving quickly. The people were nice but it is hard to see two people working hard and one standing around most of the time when I was told to book 3 to save time. Didn't save anything. I get it that these people are paid by the hour and have little incentive to work quickly but wow. I called to let them know I was disappointed and at least the guy on the phone apologized. read more

JiffyMove delivered a couch that I'd ordered online to me this morning. The only positive things I can say about them is that the guy who called to arrange the delivery was nice and friendly and they arrived on time. The guys who did the delivery were rude, sullen, unable/unwilling to follow basic directions (ie come to the back door, which my building requires for deliveries) & acted like they were doing me a favour by bringing the couch to my apartment, despite the fact that I had paid an extra $50 over curbside delivery for exactly that. Not only were their attitudes awful, but they did a terrible job: they left the back door to my building wide open (huge security risk in downtown Vancouver), dragged one of the two boxes across the hardwood floor in my apartment instead of using the dolley, scraped it against the drywall in my hallway, broke the cardboard legs off the packaging and then left them in pieces in my hallway telling me "disposal of packaging is the customer's responsibility". I will try to avoid receiving deliveries through them in future, and would NEVER trust these people as movers. read more

We had the company booked to do part 2 of our move but were told the truck was broken down and he couldn't find a replacement. He wanted to push off the move 3 days which wasn't convenient at all for us. We have lucked out twice with the actual movers but not too impressed with the man that does the booking/telephone. We found replacement movers that were excellent and ended up more reasonable in cost! read more

I hired Jiffy Moves for a move at the end of August. The two guys arrived 45 minutes late, did not come with the wardrobe boxes that I had confirmed they would bring when I called to confirm the move a few days earlier. They were slow and broke two of my regular glasses and two wine glasses and scratched up my furniture. Because they were so slow, we arrived at the new place late and I received a $200 fine from my strata because they couldn't get the move finished on time. I called to complain about the lateness when they were calculating my payment and they removed the travel time from my bill but I still ended up paying $400 plus I also have to pay this fine. My mother, who is 91, used this moving service, and was very disappointed. First, she didn't receive a quote in writing. She asked what it would cost and the final amount ended being about double what she was quoted. Most disappointing to her was that they had told her they would dispose of her couch for her for an additional $20. When the time came, however, they added $120 to that cost for travel time, so it ended up costing her $145. She said the experience left a very bad taste in her mouth.
