Please steer far away from this place. I had never been here before. My regular spa I attend was closed for today. I walked in and was greeted by a woman at the front desk, and the first thing she said to me was looked "is that just fat" (looking at my stomach). I was flabbergasted. There is a better way to say "we don't service women who are pregnant". I proceeded to tell her what I wanted and she recommended the me 30 min massage for $50. I agreed that was ok. She then asked me to pay before I was serviced. I responded that I'd like to pay after I am serviced. She then stated to find another spa to go to because it was "boss rules" to ask for payment before being serviced. I did not enjoy the belly massage but I will let them know next time I come to skip that part. I frequently would go to another massage spa nearby but they recently went out of business so I decided to come here after some careful research. I'm glad I have chosen this place. Place was extra clean not to busy this Sunday afternoon I was immediately greeted by Nina and lead to my massage table. I asked for a deep tissue massage it boy it was what I asked for. We had a couples massage when I went here. The place was clean and the people were nice. However, when the massage was over I started telling my husband about my massage and he had the same experience. They rubbed up and down direction and in circular motion the whole time. This place is HORRIBLE and DECEPTIVE. Don't go here unless you're a glutton for punishment. I made an appointment to get a 50-minute foot massage. After today's experience, I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I plan to never return. When I arrived for my foot massage, the lady at the front desk told me it's a neck, back, shoulder and foot massage. I reiterated to her that I only wanted a foot massage. She then said I had to pay up front. I've been to many massage parlors and I've never had to pay up front. But fine, I just wanted to get the massage. I was told the total was $30. She then asked if I wanted to add a tip BEFORE I had the massage. I obviously said no, I'll tip after in cash. Then she led me into a room and I sat there for 10 minutes before anyone came in. 10 MINUTES. Mind you, I was on time for my appointment. When someone finally came in to massage me, she proceeded to massage my face and hair. I stopped her to remind her AGAIN that I only wanted a FOOT massage. She then walked out of the room and disappeared for another 10 minutes. When she finally came back, she then massaged my feet - if you want to call it that because it was barely a massage. She just rubbed my feet with oil for 50 minutes. Similar to what I do in the morning when I rub lotion on my own feet. No reflexology, no pressure, nothing. She then disappeared again, so I thought the massage was over and started putting my socks on. She then came back in and said, 'Oh no, hot stone too.' She came back with the hot stones, rubbed my feet for max 30 seconds with the stones, and then told me the massage was over. To add insult to injury, when I went out to the front desk, the lady then told me because it was only a foot massage, she has to charge me double, so I owe her another $30. DOUBLE! I told her I already expressed that I wanted a foot massage when I made the appointment and I was quoted $30, so that's all I will pay. She then said she would "waive" the extra $30. I then gave the massage lady a $10 tip, which was generous for which she did. I foolishly thought this was the end, but then the lady at the desk said, 'her hands really hurt from massaging your feet, so you need to tip her more!' At this point, frustrated and exhausted by the whole experience, I gave her another $5 and left. This place is called Relax Magic, but the last thing I was during my experience was relaxed. The experience I had was very inappropriate and unprofessional. They did not provide the services that were advertised. They had poor communication due to the language barrier. They use a very thin (paper towel) like paper on top of the sheets that are reused. Makeup and oils go right through and they refuse the same sheets. It was much thiner than what is used at a doctor's office. There was no proper privacy as the rooms had no doors, just thin curtains that you could see through while others walk past. They used techniques that were inappropriate and NOT professional massage techniques. The room was also cold. I have had plenty of massages at several different facilities and have never had an experience like this. This staff was definitely not a certified masseuse. read more

I have been having problems with a swollen , painful knee. I heard about Tina at Relaxed Majic and had to try her. I could hardly put weight on my leg walking in. Tina gave me a massage, paying special attention to my injured area. I could immediately tell she was like no other masseuse I had ever met, she really knew how to get to the problem area. When the session was over, I got off the table and could walk with minimal pain. I will return every week until this pain is gone and my knee will support me, then continue regularly for maintenance. This place is extremely unprofessional. I went for a couples massage. During the lower body portion of the massage, my male masseuse (I am a female) repeatedly touched my outer vaginal area multiple times. I kept moving away and he did not stop. Every time he rubbed my legs he would touch that area. I felt violated. It was disgusting. A real professional would NEVER go near that area, asks consent before proceeding and knows what a person's boundaries are, and at the very least, would introduce themselves. Afterwards, the lady up front apologized, refunded a portion of the massage, and stated that the employee was "new" and that they "are trained not to go above the inner thigh." I would absolutely avoid this place because they do NOT vet their employees, and I did not even see any placards with the IDFPR for massage therapy. When I asked why they told me because I bought it before they took over the place. Totally ridiculous. She even had the nerve to say she turned down other people too. I purchased a 2 pack of 60 minute massages through Groupon. When I called to make my appointment I mentioned to the lady that I purchased a Groupon and we set up my appointment for the same day. She sounded friendly over the phone. When I arrived the lady greeted me with a smile and immediately asked, "How you pay?" I said I mentioned over the phone that I purchased a Groupon. She said, "No, you cancel Groupon and buy from me." I said, "No, I'm not canceling my Groupon and buying from you." She said, "Yes, you cancel your Groupon and buy from me for the same price you paid." I said, "I am not doing that." I purchased the Groupon months prior and it was getting ready to expire. I did not want to deal with Groupon and re purchasing what I already bought. So after a few back and forths (I didn't cancel Groupon) she brought me back for my massage. Mind you I was super tense and pissed off by the way she was being so unprofessional and unwelcoming. Gotta love an argument before a massage! My massage lady was friendly and did a decent massage. I did say "Ouch" a few times because she was very rough and was digging her bony elbows into my spine and other painful areas but other parts of the massage were fine. During my foot massage, the front desk woman walked into my room and was talking to the lady who was giving me my massage in their language. Again, unprofessional. When the front desk lady left, my massage lady asked, "How much you pay?" So apparently they were talking about me buying through Groupon... that was SO UNPROFESSIONAL! I was tense my ENTIRE massage and my massage lady kept telling me to relax. It was horrible and NOT relaxing. I tipped my girl and I left. I left super angry and tense and it carried into my day and night. I still had one massage left that was expiring and I was debating whether or not I should use it. I told some friends of mine how I was treated and they said that no way would they ever return there again and they would just take the loss if they were treated that way. So that's what I did. I did not return for my second massage and I would never return to this establishment with the unprofessional front desk woman! If you purchase a Groupon they treat you like you're basically stealing from them. If they don't want to treat their customers equally they should NOT ADVERTISE their services on Groupon!
