This isn't some IT Department wiz kid moonlighting in his spare time; he's retired probably worked on mainframes back in the 1980s. He showed up to my house when I had a virus he couldn't fix, some Sonos and iTunes questions he didn't know how to answer (he had printed out Help docs from Apple...yes, I could have done that myself) and still couldn't answer, and a couple of other things (systems upgrade issues) that he had no idea how to fix. Fine that he couldn't fix the problems, but what irked me was that these were issues that someone who advertises as a for-hire technician should have been able to fix, and he was fairly smug about looking down at his watch at the end of the session and gladly took my cash as if he was rightly entitled for wasting a half hour of my time with the same troubleshooting I could have done myself. I nearly said "you're really going to charge me?". I would not say that this guy is an expert, nor is he fluent on current issues or a level of expertise that warrants charging $$$ in 15-minute intervals. Nice guy on a personal level but baby boomer mentality that "hey I showed up where's my check". If you call this guy, make sure you list out the problems you have and let him convince you he knows what he's doing before he shows up at your door and slowly tries all the things you already did...as he watched the minutes tick by.

Review of service performed in 2014. Puneet Gangal personally consulted with my firm, delivering a…read morecurrent state report and recommendations for improvement. While our industry was not within his area of expertise, he had been recommended by an associate. The current state report was developed from employee interviews and data the company already owned. While it was nice to have a summary, there wasn't much of a value-add, unfortunately. There were known issues, primarily with a recent ERP migration, and we were looking for a way forward. The recommendations were delivered emphatically and, we thought, credibly. Turned out to be stunningly poor advice. The recommended solutions were costly and superficial, setting the organization back by at least two years, conservatively. In retrospect, the recommendations consisted of 1) conventional wisdom that could just as well have come from a quality hour with Google and 2) echoing back what the CEO already believed were the problems and solutions. For example, rather than call out the crippling lack of in-house expertise, the company was encouraged to--in effect--double down by engaging in still more complex, technical projects with even less in-house expertise. In fairness, one could say that the worst ideas may not have originated with Mr. Gangal. Then again, he did validate them. Personable guy, and maybe things would have been different if he'd been more familiar with our business or market.

It is one of the few Android tablets with a 4 x 3 aspect ratio...just like an iPad and perfect for reading letter-size PDFs. I managed to mangle the charging port. (Note to self: If you're inserting a charging cable, at an angle, and it resists, don't keep pushing!) All the wires were bent, rendering it unrepairable. It would have to be replaced. I asked ChatGPT for places that might be able to replace it. I got a list and and went down them one-by-one. No luck. They couldn't get the part, etc. Michael's wasn't even on the list! One of the places that was on the list is Fix 'n' Repair in Watertown. They couldn't handle it, but "there's a computer repair place around the corner. Maybe they could do something.." That's what brought me to Michael's. Whoever was manning the store looked at it and pronounced: they could get the part, but there was a little ding in the bezel. He was concerned that the screen might crack. If I knew the risks, it would be $95. An unbranded 4 by 3 tablet would cost about $200. He thought I'd be better off with a new tablet. But, then, I'd have this "potentially" fixable tablet sitting around mocking me. I left, leaning towards a new tablet. But, the next day I went back with a proposition: Don't order any parts. Try removing the screen. If it cracked, I'd pay whatever he thought was fair. If it didn't, we'd proceed with the repair. It didn't, but there was one small spot on the left edge that showed up blue on a black screen. It wasn't noticeable on a white green screen. He would proceed. What we thought might take a week or two (getting parts and repair) was done over the weekend. I couldn't be happier!

I never got a confirmation/invite from Dummy#2 of the demo until 20mins before the demo several days letter. Then Dummy#2 in Az then tells me he has to go to the ER room and that i review the recording on my own rather then rescheduling. Apparently Dummy#2 sent a canned email because at the bottom of the email is a request for a demo and i decide to use it to find a different sales rep. When i set up with a call with Dummy#3, Dummy#3 doesnt even accept the scheduling invited produced through their system...no my email system. Dummy#3 only emails back to say that we have never spoken, what do u need. Uh? A demo Dummy! A bunch of bamboons...Dummy's staged to run a company that won't last and are sinking a ship. I'd like to help out by recommending the following: Taleo iCIMS Jobvite Hyrell Brassring as a talent management tool. Bullhorn you call yourself...try Cowdung...Most suitable. That's most suiting for the circus you run in your backoffice. The WORST customer service in the history of all man kind. Worse than walmart and they dont even put helpers on the floor.
