They start with your feet soaking them and then massaging feet and legs before taking you from a recliner to a room where you will receive the rest of your massage. Music is relaxing and the environment is calming and clean. While this is no Glen Ivy or Maybourne it's perfect for my end of night and helps me start my weekend feeling refreshed and relaxed. I removed 2 stars because I brought my bestie with me and I paid for her services and mine. When I provided an additional $40 as tip the woman who provided services to my friend scoffed at my tip. I already paid for the services and provided gratuity because I wanted to show appreciation for the staff. To be scolded and have the woman say something in another language and show obvious upset was very unprofessional, hurtful, and embarrassing. My friend didn't want to tip her at all because she said the woman was not listening to her requests to use lighter touch and she mentioned her masseuse did not rub her shoulders which we explained was an area of need at the very beginning. My cousin took me here on a whim. The place is dark inside, a bit eerie. I understand why, it's supposed to relaxing and bright lights are far from. I was lead to a room with a dividing curtain with a blanket on the bed and given time to disrobe. For my own mental safety, I only took off my shirt and shoes. Mark came in and gave me a 1/2 hour massage. This was not an average massage, it was a deep tissue massage. If you've never had one, yes, they are uncomfortable, sometimes painful, because the masseuse uses their elbow to push out knots from stress. I had never received such a wonderful massage. Really bad experience here just now with one of the ladies. The whole time she is looking at videos on her phone while massaging me. She also seems to have a runny nose the whole time and blowing her nose mid massage. At the end I go to pay up front and she is hovering VERY close with her hand out . My sister lives near here and over the years I've been here many times with her. Especially when I still lived in SoCal. Now, when I come home to visit, it's always a must stop place for us to go get a foot massage. For $20, it's a great deal. Foot massage, reflexology, neck, back massage for that price is amazing. The service can vary, depending upon the tech you get. This last time I went, I had a guy who was very attentive to the major knots in my shoulders and back and paid extra attention to them and increased the pressure of the massage as I requested. Do they speak perfect English, no, but they understand enough to give you what you ask for and they are always good about checking with you to see if the pressure is too much or too little. You'd think being in a room full of people and with a TV, music and workers talking that it wouldn't be relaxing, but I pretty much fall asleep every time I go there.
