Poor Results & Dismissive Care - Not for Sensitive Skin…read more I visited Dr. Sarah Mess's office two weeks ago for Botox and had a deeply disappointing experience. Not long after the treatment, my eyes became puffy and began to droop, and I developed a rash--none of which I've experienced before in my many years of getting Botox. The puffiness and rash came from skincare products she applied and tried to sell me, despite me clearly stating that I have very sensitive skin. Instead of testing a small patch, she applied the products all over my face. When I contacted her about the reaction, she told me to take Zyrtec for the puffy, drooping eyes--saying, "It can't hurt"--even though I don't have allergies. For the rash, she offered no professional solution, just told me to use over-the-counter products on my own. When I raised concerns about the results and how I looked, she brushed it off, saying it would wear off in a few months and that I was "still pretty." Meanwhile, half my forehead still has visible wrinkles. There was no real follow-up, no accountability, and no real care. I was left feeling dismissed and unsupported. If you value thoughtful, personalized treatment--especially if you have sensitive skin--this is not the place for you. Save your time and your money.

Do NOT get laser hair removal here. Not only does it come back, it comes back worse. The doctor…read moredoesn't even do it. She has nurses come in and do it. She doesn't even introduce herself or monitor the progress. You pay thousands and thousands of dollars and get lousy service and horrible results. Save your money.

So far, my experience with LifeMed has been stellar! I also have follow-up appointments, so I will…read moreupdate. First of all, when you walk into the facility, you'll feel like you're walking into some magical place! The aesthetics are welcoming! Think bright, white, soft, and clean. It gives doctor's office, but in a good sense. I came in today for the inBody Scan. Several of my work colleagues have had one done and spoke to the benefits. My partner also had one and when I saw her printed results I was curious. So, I'm here to get one myself. It was pretty quick. You speak with a clinician/nurse to go over your medical background and discuss the reason you came to see them. That part could be short or long depending on YOU. Next we went into another room for the actual scan. You wipe your feet and the palms of your hands before standing on the 'scanner'. It gave me bodyfat scale vibes. I have one at home and you stand on it barefoot to get your weight and body fat. Anyway, you're instructed on how to stand on the machine and..... Walah! It's done! Your results are printed, explained, and discussed. Good info. It was much of what I had already expected, but I'm really here for the blood panel! My job give us (well, it's actually a requirement) an annual medical exam so I know a lot of my history, but I'll admit, these metrics are a bit deeper. You can also scan a QR code on the results page to get more detailed information. I haven't done that yet, but will! Next, they have an on-site lab (Quest Diagnostics) to draw blood. THIS is what I'm interested in. They'll do a full panel. And when I say FULL-PANEL, I'm talking 100 vials of blood panel. HA! Not really, but that's what it felt like. So make sure you're hydrated before your appointment or they wont be able to draw the amount of blood they need. But yeah, it'll be more vials than your average blood draw. Don't panic though, you'll be fine. And that was it. I'M SO EXCITED for my follow-up appointment to go over the results of my blood draw. Oh, and I left with goodies! They gave me T-shirts. And these are GOOD T-shirts. I wore one later that day. It's that soft material that I like in my shirts. Very good marketing. Oh, and chapstick! ROFLMAO. I took several because I'm a chapstick hoarder. Anywho, they have tons of services and I see myself sampling several of the options they offer. Check it out.
