One of the volunteers will meet with you to unlock the gate and show you around. Volunteered w/ my coworker to help Helping Hands Pantry, specifically the gardening area. Their broccoli was ready to be harvested! One of the volunteer POCs, Paul, was kind enough to meet with me to explain the whole process. I've never harvested broccoli so this was a cool experience. All tools (knives, gloves, crates) are provided. My coworker, her daughter and I harvested 12 full crates of organic broccoli. To anyone reading this...please go to their website and sign up for a volunteer spot. This would be perfect for a school or work team building event. I challenge you to help out your local community! :) I will leave you with this... self-love is like gardening. Take time to plant yourself in sunlight and speak kind words to yourself. Experience: I had never been to this location but I needed to drop off some donations. This location is a lot smaller than some of the other locations I have been too, but I will say they seem to be the most organized. I was able to get in and out, however the only thing I didn't like about this location is that since they are so small they can't take large donations. I tried to leave a storage bin and they almost didn't accept it because they didn't have anywhere to put it. I also wish they had a backdoor entrance for donations like other Goodwill locations.

I live in Orange County and visit family near Loma Linda and make time to drive through Oak Glen and hike with my dog and cat at the Wildlands Conservancy. This is such a magical place and brings me much peace. It is beautiful, peaceful and from the tall sequoias to the tropical rainforest like trees, wild birds flying and chirping through them, sound of the woodpeckers and the fog rolling over the lake, it feels like a fairy tale. My pets love hiking here as well. Both entrance and parking at the Conservancy are free. It is very family and pet friendly with a petting zoo and food stands toward the other side as you drive in. There are also areas with picnic tables near the trails. The trails are very scenic and fairly easy with a portion that is somewhat steep which I would consider slightly moderate but not difficult. I highly recommend taking the time to visit this hidden gem.

Carol's Kitchen was giving out prizes after customers would spin a wheel and they were also their taking $5.00 Donations for their Volunteer Business that cooks and serves meals, gives out clothes and groceries, and assist with community events, They currently serve about 3,000 free meals a month, ensuring that the Men, Women, and Children in their communities do not Go Hungry, regardless of their age, religion, cultural background, economic status or employment, and physical or mental abilities. This is my son's second year at this school and we could not be happier. Miss Harris was the blessing we had asked for, for a successful and happy 1st grade.
