Below is the formal complaint that was emailed and submitted, however, there has been no response: Good morning, I am submitting a formal complaint regarding a private event held at Splitz Bowling - Gainesville, FL on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The reservation was under the name Josie Jackson, and we paid $435.38 for a private section with four lanes for two hours. Lanes 27 and 28 experienced continuous technical issues throughout the reservation period. While I understand that having more than six participants per lane can sometimes contribute to delays, lanes 27 and 28 did not exceed six players during the first hour and were the first to malfunction, confirming the issues were not related to lane capacity or guest usage. During the final hour of play, lanes 29 and 30 also began experiencing issues, further reducing usable play time across all four lanes. Additionally, our dedicated server was present for less than an hour and did not return, and multiple staff members were disengaged despite a busy venue. Management arrived 30-45 minutes later and offered minimal remediation (initially 15 minutes, then 30 minutes across all lanes), which did not resolve the technical issues. No meaningful follow-up occurred despite assurances. On-site security staff were inattentive. Given the cost and repeated service failures, I respectfully request: A corporate review of this incident Appropriate compensation or refund Corrective actions to prevent similar issues for future guests I would appreciate a written response. The bowling balls also wary a lot in hole sizes and they seem worn out but that's just nick picking at this point. My biggest compliant is that it is HOT AS BALLS! At the register was a young lady with glasses, shoulder length hair. She was answering questions, issuing shoe rentals, accepting lane payments. Next to her, an older women with a silver pixie haircut, heavier set, & issuing directives to staff occasionally nodding and smiling at customers, very quick to accept someone's payment, not so quick to provide a meaningful service or assistance to the other staff. Throughout this - there was still that singular employee assigned to the kitchen; kind, but attempting to focus & quickly becoming overwhelmed due to staff shortage. As she requested assistance from the older woman, the pixie cut lady became snarky towards the younger advising; "well because some people don't come into work, I can't do my job, and that's portion. So you're just going to have to portion and cook". And honestly? I can't support a business who treats their staff this way. And to the young lady working in the kitchen, I hope you find work elsewhere that values you and your ability to persist under that kind of pressure, rather than someone who takes advantage of your kindness. To the rude pixie cut lady- if you own or manage this establishment; act like it & consider educating yourself on positive leadership tactics. If you don't, there's a reason for that. Stop acting like it.

I was last to arrive and the kids at the desk were not present and then when they finally showed up, they were short & rude. Any time I glanced over while I was playing, no one was at the desk. It was busy while we were there but it became busier as the afternoon turned to evening. While we were playing, we experienced issues with the lane several times. Sometimes help arrived quickly, where other times we waited for a good 20 minutes. After we finished bowling, some of us stayed to go to the bar and play pool. The drinks were very expensive and you had to pay to play pool, which was super overpriced. All in all, I would like to explore other bowling alleys in Ocala but I think most places replicate a Chucky Cheese kinda establishment.
