Overall, we had a good experience at Topgolf. We had seven people in our group; my wife, five teenagers, and me, so they auto reserved two bays. It was nice that they were side by side, but we were surprised to be charged an additional $40 just for that. On top of that, there was a $6 registration fee per person, which caught us off guard. Maybe that's standard at Topgolf, but it wasn't something we expected, so it felt like an extra $82 without much added value. The food was decent for a venue like this, I'd compare it to Applebee's. Nothing exceptional, but perfectly fine if that's the type of food you're looking for. Overall, I did think it was a bit expensive. Our total bill came to around $350 for two hours of play, four shared appetizers, and no alcoholic drinks. That said, they made my son's 17th birthday a little more special by bringing out complimentary donuts, which was a thoughtful touch. Our server was also fantastic, friendly, attentive, and stayed on top of everything throughout the evening. Reserved in the app and everything can be handled there. Three levels of golf bays, mini golf, arcade, sports bar... Upbeat music creates a perfect atmosphere for a fun time. There are fans blowing toward each bay. Each bay is for up to six players. What you pay depends on the time you go there. We went from 8 to 10 and it was beautiful playing in the sunset and then lights were turned on! The food and drinks are very good. The place is in a good condition with plenty of workers to take care of everything. Plenty of parking and there is a security at the entrance. There is a summer pass that is a good deal. Today me and a friend enjoyed a couple hours at Top Golf which features 102 climate-controlled hitting bays spanning three levels. It's outdoors and surprisingly affordable for a family of five (well, technically paid for 3 to play. We adults supervised the kids). My Son has been several times and always raved about it. Today was my first experience. Bottom line up front...what a fun way to spend a few hours. Regardless if you're a hack, or if you never picked up a golf club outside of mini-golf or if you have been playing for years...this place is a blast. Pricing varies throughout the day (cheapest in the morning and late night) and they offer all kinds of membership perks and freebies also. They supply clubs or you can bring your own. Our group had no idea what a disadvantage the ground floor would be until we realized we couldn't really see the targets. The ground floor is more of a driving range than anything. Went here today for an afternoon out with the family. We used the online registration option to book a reservation for the afternoon. This registration allowed us to book ahead of time and avoid any lines. Once booked, you will get an email where you can send a link to your whole party so they and you can pre-register to hop into the fun when you get there. While enroute, I got a notification of my bay number (note, if you have more than 6 persons playing you will need to book a second bay). Our party proceeded to the bay and I had to add two persons but it was super easy. If you have never been before, you will pay a $6 one-time fee for each new user. The fee is added onto your overall bill (the bill covers your bay rental, registration fees and any food or drink you buy). You pay at the end of your event. Once you are at your bay, all the clubs are there and balls are dispensed from a tee box. You can get kid clubs for little ones. You will also meet your server who will take food and drink orders and help with game setup (you have several different game options to pick from). Our server was attentive and brought us food and drinks in a timely manner. We tried the cheese fries and chip and queso. Their queso is really thick and good topped with diced tomatoes. Love the fact that if you book online you pretty much just wait for the text that your bay is ready. So booking is always a breeze. Went on a Monday afternoon so it wasn't too busy. Every party was pretty spread out so it was nice to have a little space and not feel like you were on top of each other during a time where they weren't so busy. I would be remiss if I did not add Justin, the manager for his fantastic sense of humor, but in the scheme of things I want to focus my review on Ashley. I cannot begin to describe how outstanding she is at making customers feel They are truly the most important person. Never did we want for anything as she was constantly on the ball aware of what our needs were and had the most beautiful smile that went along with her customer centered service skills. You can tell that Ashley truly loves her and truly loves people because you cannot fake the phenomenal service we received from her. In fact, if I could give her 100 stars, I don't feel that would be enough. When you have employees who truly love their job, that means it starts from the top so kudos to Justin for creating an atmosphere that allows staff such as Ashley to deliver top notch service! This was a fantastic evening for teambuilding. It truly brought people together and the environment was conducive for fun! How They kept up with all of the ball shooting from two floors is beyond me. The food well we were not there for food so I won't say much on that. the flatbread pizza looked phenomenal. I wish I got it as the wings well they were just OK. When we booked the event for the 11th (this was in email) she put it for the 10th. My mistake was not verifying the date. The 2nd issue is the food that went to waste - I don't believe I would do a buffet next time because of all the food waste. We could have each ordered a meal, taken home what we didnt eat, and saved money in the end. All in all - it was a great time with only these 2 small issues. If the date had been correct and we were able to take home the additional food it would have been great. The guys had a great time playing golf and even learned about skills they didn't know they had! We had a blast and would go again. The Mac & Cheese was so awesome that everyone went back for more! Honestly the last 3 times that we have been here have been a disappointment. We came for my birthday in March with a large party, it wasn't that busy, but half our party was left handed and it took 30-40 minutes just to get a set of left handed clubs. And then we were waiting forever for food, and it didnt come out until we had 30 minutes left. The second time we came on a Tuesday afternoon, and again it wasn't busy. We had to wait an hour just for our drinks, and 3 separate managers came over and asked if we needed anything and we asked for our server once, they never came. The next manager we just ordered food with, and the last one we asked the status. We waited an hour and a half just to be told that half of the food we ordered wasn't available. At this point we had 30 minutes left in our game, and were thoroughly disappointed. While everything was handled ok the back end and we were taken care of, the experience as a whole is still not what we were expecting. The last time was tonight. We were again not greeted until 1/4 of our time was gone, at which point we ordered drinks and an appetizer and flatbread. It took another 35 minutes to get waters. The flatbread never came and apparently the appetizer wasn't available, but we weren't made aware until 30 minutes left on our time. At which point the other food we had ordered had only just come out. Again, it was handled on the back end well enough, but the entire experience has left a sour taste for sure. read more

I highly recommend top golf of Jacksonville!! After comparing to other top golf's the interior needs a remodel but the food and bar experience are fantastic. The company started in 2000 and grew to become a multinational sports entertainment company. Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, it has locations in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates. To me the experience resembles a Bowling Alley but with Golf. It's a fun experience but pricey. I suggest you go on half price days. My nearest Topgolf is in New Jersey. This location is in Jacksonville near my family when I visit. I got this photo of my daughter. There's an upper level that has a great view. I recommend you visit a location at least once for the experience. Me, I prefer the feel of a real golf course. Went here for a work event with a few booths. Bottom of the barrel customer service, especially for a Topgolf. I asked the staff if I could scan a QR code with my app to link my account and they told me to do it another way. At the end of our 2 hour stay we were just about done with a 4 round game and needed a few more minutes. I asked the lady if this was possible and she said "it might let you finish or it might not". I asked if we could extend our time (it was not busy) and at first she said 15 minutes but later said other time options like 30/45/1hr. Then back peddled and said there was no way we could extend it. I was being very cordial, our group was not disorderly, no idea why we could not give them more $ when the place was less than half full.
