But this particular Penningtons makes shopping a much more relaxing time. You walk in and a weight is automatically lifted off your shoulders. As soon as you walk in you experience a judgement free zone. These ladies are super awesome and KNOW what they are talking about. The dreaded bra fitting. Oh boy. this is my least favorite part of being a lady. And its such a pain for me to try and find anything that fits or doesn't "squeak" after one time wearing it. I come in here and the ladies A) know how to fit you properly!! B) will go out of their way to find you the size that you need. When I walk in there they remember me, they pretty much know what I need. Most of the times its bras or dresses. The prices are good and even better if you're a member. Just a tip become a member, you get some wicked coupons with savings of 50% your purchase sometimes how can you beat that?!

Tory Burch makes my heart sing…read more I love the high quality style, and the service is excellent! I have shopped both in Chinook Center and online and the service and product have been consistently exceptional. Wait until you read this story of exceptional customer service. I had a small, casual wedding in July 2013 and purchased both my shoes and wedding dress from Tory Burch (I posted pictures so you can see). The ladies at Tory Burch were enthusiastic, helpful and got me suited up, and even watered down with a diet coke while I shopped (seriously?? I never expected that kind of hospitality!). Fast forward a few months, I tried on my dress and....... I put on a "little weight". I needed to go up a size. The dress was unworn, and I brought it in and they went through the whole rigoramol again, (diet coke, friendly, helpful, compassionate) and i got the "new" correct size and was out the door. Now here's the kicker. Right before my wedding, I get a delivery to my home. Flowers! From Tory Burch, CONGRATULATING me! They have a fan for life. I tell everyone the story. They need to know how Tory Burch has gone above and beyond any retail experience I have had. They honestly have inspired me to do better, because I can see what a difference it makes.

I told my husband about it and joked that he should buy me a pair of ballet flats. Well he took it seriously and agreed, what's a girl to do? :) The one grayed out star is for the overall feel of the store. When we walked in it felt like the store was too cramped. The shelves look like they were too small for the number of items there wanted to display. In the spot where the ballet flats are, it looked like they just placed one of each style they have without thinking if the display will actually entice their customers into purchasing. Those four stars are for their products and service. Their products maybe a bit on the pricey side but they last and their designs go with a lot of styles - I love that cos I hate thinking too much about what shoes or bag goes with what. Their sales people are friendly and really attentive. I think I had two ladies help me and I only tried on two pairs of shoes. My husband was happy too because he was offered refreshments while waiting for me try on shoes, also he didn't have to get out of the couch to pay and claim our purchase (we're not as lazy as this in real life :P) I wouldn't say it's a place that you go to every week for shopping unless you really can afford to do so. I will probably have to eat leather and live in my purse if I do that. For the service and quality of product I think this place is worth checking out and maybe once in a while buy something that pleases your eyes. I think it's just fair for a lady to splurge every now and then right? :)

But recently I walked by and saw a really nice party dress...perfect for the holiday season. I was in a rush though so I noted the dress and came back about a week later on a weekend. The dress was no longer on display but I found it easily enough on the rack. They had a few sizes left and thankfully one that looked like it would fit. No sooner did I have the dress in hand, did a sales woman offer to start a fitting room for me. A little pushy but after that she didn't bother me so I can't complain. I quickly glanced around the store. There was a lot going on and most of the styles I saw weren't my thing. I think they cater to a slightly older crowd (late 40's/50's +) (they did have a cruise wear section). They also have stuff that I'd consider to be a little more whimsical/unique in design which isn't my personal preference but I could picture some women I know who would love the clothes there. The dress fit perfectly (yay for in-change-room mirrors) and I made the purchase...at just a little over $100 it was a good deal on a party dress in my opinion. I'd recommend shopping at this store on the weekends as it always looks a bit busy during weekdays. Also, during the week they have live mannequins stationed at the door. They creep me out a little bit but others may not mind :)

Today (very upset) because the lights were on, 2 ladies working in the store and the doors were locked. I knocked and the moment the saw me, they went to the back room. I figured I should TRY to understand this store, so I recently went shopping at it and I now officially know that I have reason to not like it. The clothes are so ridiculously cheaply made it's not even funny. I bought a shirt for around $20, which really isn't all that cheap, and speaking of cheap, the belt loop hole fell off the second I took it out of the bag. I then tried it on, and noticed that the stitching is already coming undone!!! What a piece of crap. I didn't bother to take the shirt back because I didn't think it was worth me driving back to Balzac, but I did make a mental note to never shop at Forever XXI again.

Zero for customer Service - Terrible!…read more I dropped off goods for consignment and received a call a few days later that they didn't take any of my goods and that I should come and pick them up over the next few days. I wasn't aware that I only had 5 days to come pick up my things and when I came today to grab them I was told very rudely that they had donated all of my goods to goodwill. I told them I was not aware that they would send my stuff away as I could have taken a few things back to sell personally. The manager was very rude to me and told me that it was my fault that I didn't come for my things. I asked if she could have changed the process to tell me what day I had to pick it up by which would have been clearer or perhaps send me an email with a deadline date for when I should pick up my things by. Nope, she said she didn't need to change how she notifies customers and that these things rarely happened. So I asked if there's anything they'd be willing to do for me such as offer me a 20% coupon to retain my business or anything to help build good will on this unfortunate circumstance. No again. She responded by telling me she didn't feel she had to do anything for me and that the onus was on me. So not only did I lose all if my goods, I got no reassurance that this would not happen again should I choose to consign with then again, and they weren't willing to do anything for me to retain my patronage. Not even an apology! I would have appreciated a little sympathy and some attempt to create good will when you throw out someone's things that were of value to them. How do I know if they hadn't stole some of my stuff and sold it after the day they decided to send my things to "charity"? Cuz they technically could now that they claimed all my stuff got donated. I'll be sure to tell every girl that I know of my experience and how I was treated. I was hurt, and humiliated by the way the Manager spoke to me in such a condescending and belittling manner and will never come back. At the end of the day it's was not about my goods. It was how I was treated and humiliated and told that they didn't feel they had to do anything for me, nor change the way they notify people of when they ship your goods to charity. If you want to consign, I'd suggest you shop around the block in Kensington and find a more friendly place to do business with.

Got a Marant top, and a brand I'd never heard of, but they had a huge selection of stuff and I wish I'd had a little more time. Things were neatly organized by color and then by style- for example tops started sleeveless, graduating to short sleeves, then long sleeves. But all sizes mixed in- but that's part of the digging fun. Staff was so lovely and helpful, quick to offer a dressing room start seconds after I started carrying something. Also exciting that they have color coded tags. I felt like Charlie looking for that golden Wonka ticket, and was thrilled that my most expensive item was 50% off. Total score. Left there buzzing from the variety of prints, brands, and fabrics. If I were a local, this place would be in regular rotation.
