Zero for customer Service - Terrible! I dropped off goods for consignment and received a call a few days later that they didn't take any of my goods and that I should come and pick them up over the next few days. I wasn't aware that I only had 5 days to come pick up my things and when I came today to grab them I was told very rudely that they had donated all of my goods to goodwill. I told them I was not aware that they would send my stuff away as I could have taken a few things back to sell personally. The manager was very rude to me and told me that it was my fault that I didn't come for my things. I asked if she could have changed the process to tell me what day I had to pick it up by which would have been clearer or perhaps send me an email with a deadline date for when I should pick up my things by. Nope, she said she didn't need to change how she notifies customers and that these things rarely happened. So I asked if there's anything they'd be willing to do for me such as offer me a 20% coupon to retain my business or anything to help build good will on this unfortunate circumstance. No again. She responded by telling me she didn't feel she had to do anything for me and that the onus was on me. So not only did I lose all if my goods, I got no reassurance that this would not happen again should I choose to consign with then again, and they weren't willing to do anything for me to retain my patronage. Not even an apology! I would have appreciated a little sympathy and some attempt to create good will when you throw out someone's things that were of value to them. How do I know if they hadn't stole some of my stuff and sold it after the day they decided to send my things to "charity"? Cuz they technically could now that they claimed all my stuff got donated. I'll be sure to tell every girl that I know of my experience and how I was treated. I was hurt, and humiliated by the way the Manager spoke to me in such a condescending and belittling manner and will never come back. At the end of the day it's was not about my goods. It was how I was treated and humiliated and told that they didn't feel they had to do anything for me, nor change the way they notify people of when they ship your goods to charity. If you want to consign, I'd suggest you shop around the block in Kensington and find a more friendly place to do business with. read more

I love shopping here because even though it is consignment, it doesn't feel like it. They do such a wonderful job of merchandising the store in such a cute way. It's not exploding with clothes, which I like because it makes it easier to shop when there I not an overwhelming amount of clothes to sort through. Love it here ! :) read more

I can't tell you how many times I have walked past this shop in the Beltine (11 St. SW) and just looked in the window and kept going. What a shame! I finally decided to go inside because I really needed a pair of sandals for our trip to Mexico, and I was having trouble finding exactly what I wanted. I ended up leaving the shop with the perfect sandals but also a cute dress that matched. I mean, I couldn't help myself! All of the clothing is in great shape and smells clean. The prices are also very reasonable. I have a bad habit of always going to the mall or the outlets when I want to shop for clothes, and this entire time, there has been a great alternative right under my nose. Shopping consignment/used helps our environment, so spend away at this cute little consignment shop! read more

Love these gals ! I've been selling and buying things since Michelle was in the old location and just opened. Her and all of her staff are a pleasure to deal with always kind and helpful and accommodating . Part of her success comes from her eye for detail and savvy merchandising . They are always updating new items on instagram when they arrive giving you a chance to hold for an hour or purchase right away over the phone . My daughter told me that Peacock Boutique had recently moved to 11 St. SW...near me! She suggested I check them out for selling my orig. designs (I do artisan jewelry). I was so excited. So this morning I went into the shop and went right to the till and asked the sales assistant (owner??) if she would be interested in selling my designs. Without even a hint of friendliness, she glanced at the bracelet I'd brought to show, barely visible in a sm. see-thru bag, and immediately said she wasn't interested. Without even seeing or touching the design. I left, a bit crestfallen, and decided, on the walk back to my car, I wouldn't go back, to shop or peruse. It's kind of sad; P. Found Peacock while roaming around the neighbourhood and was really pleased with the selection here. The rack outside the store tempted me to come inside; the consignment shop clearly holds a range of brand-name clothing, all in really great condition. Overall the store's organization inside is well organized, but the racks are practically overflowing with garments; lots to pull through. My favourite part of stopping in though, had to be the conversation I overheard when one woman arrived and chatted up the staff; she was clearly familiar to them, and by the conversation's end it was obvious she is a proud regular customer. It was nice to hear how much someone else loved this place while I pursued the store. I did find quite a few things I liked, but as thrifting goes, you have to try everything on! No winners on this trip, but I'll be back again, next time I'm in town. read more

I really like the shop, don't get me wrong, but lately on social media all the shop advertises is super small clothing. I have been a client since they were at the old location by the old Lido Cafe. There was a huge selection of sizes and brands. Now, most of the clothes are uber designer brands and advertised to xs and sm clients. I just feel like you are not the "every-body" brand anymore.... or at least in your marketing. I am a mainstream medium, but I feel that often that is not your target. I've gone into Peacock Boutique a few times, because it's a consignment shop in Calgary, and I like shopping local and used. I've never felt especially welcome in the space, and never received much interaction from the staff. On top of that, the selection isn't great, and the pricing is a bit steep. You'd be better off going to Plato's Closet if you want consignment, or just go to Goodwill to find a better selection of similar clothes. read more

These are my favourite consignment stores in Calgary for both shopping and consigning (there is now a second location in the Beltline). The owner, Michelle, and her team are incredibly welcoming, helpful, and quick to respond to questions. As a shopper, I love the boutique feel of the Peacock stores - they are bright and spacious, impeccably organized, and there are showcases and outfit ideas set up around the stores. Items are priced very reasonably, and there are a number of 50% off days throughout the year in addition to seasonal clearances. As a consignor, the process could not be simpler. I loathe having to make an appointment and wait while my items are inspected, which is why I love the Peacock system. Items can be dropped off any time, and I've never waited more than 1-2 business days for the ladies to go through my items and return the rejects to me. Only two items out of the 50+ I've consigned have failed to sell, which is why I count on Peacock season after season. read more

Prices are a bit much, clothes are good quality. Bought a coat. Did not realize the alarm tag wasn't removed. Their alarm system didn't go off when I left. Realize it at home. Returned. Asked for a discount as I had to go all the way back to remove tag. Lady said no, they don't give out any discounts. Even though earlier in the day I over heard her giving a discount to a previous customer. read more
