The front office staff is a nightmare. The PT folks do a good job, but navigating the incompetence…read moreof the administrative personnel is mind boggling. On an earlier referral several years ago, the front office staff kept scheduling appointments, without health insurance approval. I was notified that I owed them $600 for office visits that insurance wouldn't reimburse them for. I was dumb and figured that it was the insurance company's fault. I paid the bill and filed an appeal with the state of CA. The state ruled that FPT impropertly allowed appointments to happen without notifying me that insurance was not approved. They legally couldn't make appointments without insurance company approval. I should have sued them, but didn't. I received another referral to them from my health plan late last year. I told FPT that I would not be held individually responsible for payment if they don't follow state mandated protocols. The incompetent local administrator agreed to it over the phone, after speaking with one of her superiors at their corporate. When I showed up to fill out the paperwork for my first appointment, I reiterated that I would not be individually held responsible for their errors with regard to health insurance approval. The incompetent administrator for the office who had already said there would be no problem over the phone, reviewed my paperwork. She told me that there was now a problem if I would not accept responsability for their errors. Make a long story short, I got it ironed out after a half hour phone call with their corporate administrator from their waiting room. When the call was completed, the incompetent local administrator told me that because of the delay in being seen (because of her incompetentce and not following through as she had promised) my appointment had to be rescheduled. I wasted a good hour and a half of my time because she is incompetent. I am now going to All Star Physical Therapy where I have had exceptional PT work and the administrative staff is far more competent. If your health insurance plan refers you to FPT, please run yelling and screaming back to them and have the referral changed to All Star Physical Therapy. They are a block away and FAR easier to deal with.

Re; Cynthia Marcon. Unfortunately, I am somewhat of an expert on Physical Therapists, having had…read moremultiple surgeries, including four Rotator Cuff surgeries. What you learn after your first one is that the rehabilitation, or rehab, is the key to your recovery. In fact, in some ways it is more of a factor than the surgery itself, since you have no control of that aspect. This cannot be stated emphatically enough; your ability to resume your normal life, to play golf, tennis, swim, work out, etc., is solely dependent on your rehab. Your rehab consists of only two components; choosing a great therapist, and doing exactly what they tell you to do. When it comes to choosing a top -notch, qualified, experienced therapist, you would do well to choose Cynthia. I was impressed with her knowledge and experience; it seems she has helped people rehab from almost anything you can think of. She is highly recommended by some of the top orthopedic surgeons for good reason. Plus, she combines that professional experience with a genuine, personal, and caring attitude. She becomes a motivator/coach/friend who you can tell really wants you to get your life back. When you choose a great therapist like Cynthia, and do all your exercises faithfully and long-term, you will get back to doing all the things you love to do. I have friends who have had the same surgeries I did, but did not choose a great therapist, and did not do their exercises , and they regret it to this day. It is up to you; choose your therapist wisely, and do your exercises. Dan C. Matthews

Best of all, she does in-home outpatient physical therapy and her price includes travel. She is a great person and her prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended by both my wife and I. I can not begin to tell you how amazing Mark and Inner Athletika is! This gym has been life…read morechanging for me! I have tried every diet and spent countless amounts of money on trainers in the past. Nothing works. I came to Inner Athletika nervous and pretty much hopeless. Mark was incredible! He talked with me and was able to calm my nerves. Then he put me through a simple assessment (not scary at all) to determine where I was and what areas needed attention. He was able to determine an ankle issue (my "bad ankle" that I have sprained countless times) and some hip issues. I started training with Mark and even joined their Women's Workouts too - so much fun and affordable! In a few short months I have seen my body change! I am stronger and have a waist again!!!! I've been able to do things in the gym that I never thought was possible. Every time I go, I'm amazed at what I can do. Mark is kind and caring and not pushy. He is incredibly knowledgeable and really knows how to help you and prevent injury. He helped rehab my ankle and taught me how to help myself. I've learned that I can eat (real food) and workout and enjoy my life! I've learned so much more than just working out. I highly recommend Inner Athletika and Mark specifically. I'm beyond grateful to have found this gym! If you're on the fence, do yourself a favor and give them a call!

Mark is freaking awesome.....I had left shoulder and lower back pain for years and was so over it…read more I went to the doctor and had 7 x-rays or scans within 12 months just before I found Mark and the only info I got from my doctor was you have early arthritis and you will just have to manage the pain levels. I didn't want to accept that was my only outcome, so I talked to some friends and so glad I found Mark. The first several sessions were just working on muscle tension and bad daily habits that caused the muscle pain. Once the pain started to go away we got into working out and lifting weights to make me stronger and fix bad habits. Now 6 months later I feel amazing and am completely pain free. If you are having any chronic pain issues, then I would highly recommend booking an appointment with Mark to see what he can do to help you. I am so glad I did.
