Our experience at Keller & George was exactly what every customer service experience should be. We…read morejust happened to be out for a walk with our pups in the area and decided to stop in. At first, my husband stood outside with the dogs while I browsed. Everyone greeted me upon entry and Linda came over to see if she could assist. I explained what I was looking for and she showed me some items in the store. We talked about pros and cons of a few options, then Linda presented an alternative, which she showed me online since it was at one of their other stores. I immediately loved the alternative, so I was going to go out and hold the dogs so my husband could look. Linda had us bring our pups in so both of us could look and talk. Folks in the store were very welcoming to the dogs and even keep dog treats on hand. But anyway, my husband liked Linda's suggestion as well. We went with the idea and she assured us that the jeweler would make everything fit perfectly. In essence, we had a three stone setting put onto a different band so that the ring would set flush against my wedding band. Richard did a fantastic job. I absolutely love my three stone ring. It turned out better than I could have imagined. It was also completed as promised, within a week. I couldn't be happier. Overall, it was the perfect experience. If you are in the market for jewelry or in need of a jewelry repair, you should visit Keller & George. Thanks again, Linda and Richard.

Update: After posting my review, the store manager called to offer a re-repair of my engagement…read morering. However, I have already had the repairs done elsewhere (as stated in my review) due to valid concerns over work quality. During the call, it was made clear that because the mistakes were fixed elsewhere, they would not be taking any further steps to make the situation right. This was a problem they created as what should have been a straightforward repair turned into significant damage that forced me to take matters into my own hands and seek repairs with another jeweler. While I appreciated the follow-up, it is clear that the situation will not be made right. Original review: I'm extremely disappointed in my recent experience with Schwarzschild Keller & George Jewelers. I brought in my engagement ring on June 20 for what should have been a simple and routine prong re-tipping, quoted at $100. When I finally picked it up on July 11 (after delays), the ring looked nothing like the one I had entrusted to them: the prongs were uneven, the center stone was crooked, there were visible solder marks, and the craftsmanship was shockingly poor. I was told the work would be redone at no charge, but the damage to my ring and the quality of the first repair made me uncomfortable entrusting it to them again. A second jeweler has since confirmed that the entire head of the ring now needs to be rebuilt, at a cost of $375, damage that would not have occurred had the original work been done properly. I first contacted Keith directly on July 16 to try and resolve this, and then submitted a message via the "Contact Us" form on their website on July 21 (which states someone will respond within 48 hours). As of today, I have received no response at all. The lack of accountability and total silence from the store is unacceptable. I now have to spend nearly four times the original estimate to fix damage caused by their own poor workmanship. I would not recommend this jeweler based on my experience.

Formia Design - Custom engagement ring with cushion cut diamond halo ring!

Recently I decided to get what I wanted & started shopping for options. It was clear there was nothing "over the counter" I could get so I started shopping custom jewelers. Everyone i talked to either wanted to suggest designs other than what I wanted or charge me exorbitant fees to create the ring I wanted...Then I found Formia right in my back yard. Mia actually listened to what I wanted, sketching concepts so I could visualize what she was thinking. In the end, she offered to simply modify my current band to the design I wanted years ago! No price gouging, simply tweaking the design I settled on to give me the design I REALLY wanted...And at a MUCH more affordable price. Many thanks to Formia for listening, not just directing, and for offering options not just profiteering. I now have the ring I always wanted and she has a customer that is not only bragging about her but returning when my wife & I need her skills again!

I am so excited to wear my rings again - they fit! I have to admit that my wedding ring is my favorite; I had tears in my eyes when I saw that it looked like it did 50 years ago when my husband first put it on my finger! Thank you! Thank you! You are truly gifted. Hope 2026 is your best year yet. I am sure I can find some more work for you - so, we will be seeing you!

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with Andrew Minton Jewelers. I brought in a pair…read moreof earrings in early April that I wanted converted from studs to dangle earrings. I was told that the dangle earring backs would need to be ordered, but that it shouldn't take long. When I didn't hear anything back for 2 weeks, I called and was told that it would be done shortly. After another 2 weeks, I called again and was told that the earring backs were backordered and wouldn't be available for 3 more weeks. Why couldn't someone call me to let me know? A customer shouldn't have to keep calling. When another week went by, with no update, I called again and talked to Andrew Minton who told me that he would get back to me. The next day, a woman who identified herself with the last name of Minton told me that the earrings were ready for pickup. I came today (June 9) to pick them up only to see that the earrings were not worked on at all. When I asked why I had been called and told they were ready, the young woman (who initially waited on me in April) went back to talk to the jeweler. During this time, a female employee came up to the counter and was working on a computer. She saw the earring back that was to be worked on for my earrings on the counter and promptly put her finger in her mouth to pick up the earring back to give to Andrew Minton. When the young woman came back, I was told that the reason they told me that my earrings were ready (when they weren't) is that my order had been placed in the wrong box. It seemed like a very poor excuse. I remarked on the unsanitary practice of picking up earring backs with spit on one's finger, only to be met with a testy remark from the woman who did it, saying that all jewelry is cleaned before it's given to the customer. Regardless, what this woman did was simply unsanitary and frankly, gross. Adults in a retail setting don't need to spit on their fingers to pick up items. During this exchange with the two employees, the owner, Andrew Minton, was sitting within earshot and never once came over to say anything to me -- a customer who waited 2 months for earrings that were never worked on. I took my earrings back and will take them to another jeweler. Customer service at Andrew Minton Jewelers is poor and unprofessional.

I brought it in and they told me it would take about a week and they were done appraising it in about a day. I think it helped that I had all the paperwork that mentioned what kind of stones and metals were used in my ring. When I brought the ring in, I was helped immediately and given a yellow piece of paper to bring in when I returned. They asked for my full legal name and address. They gave me a call when they were done. When I returned, I showed the slip, got my ring back, and an appraisal sheet. They had me review the sheet to make sure everything was written correctly before getting the Appraiser's signature. This cost me $90, which after some research seemed to be the cheapest and most affordable cost for an engagement ring appraisal. It's a tiny shop with Carytown style parallel parking out front. The only downside about this shop is that it smells like cigarettes, but I was in and out of there so quickly this didn't affect my experience. Plus I got great service! I highly recommend visiting.

The staff went out of their way to get to know my fiancée's taste and help me find the perfect ring for her. Better yet, I got the custom ring I ordered in less than two weeks! Fast forward a year and I receive a text message from Carol inviting us to come in to look for wedding rings. We both picked out wedding bands that following weekend and my fiancée ended up getting mine for half off! We are both very picky, so the fact that we were in and out (with a free engagement ring cleaning) in under an hour was impressive to say the least. COVID-19 caused them to close their locations before we picked up her ring. I was extremely worried about getting it with the impending stay-in-place order, but Chris (yes, the owner) actually went out of his way and met us at the closest store to hand deliver us her ring without hesitation! The first set of rings I bought I decided I didn't like after all and they were happy to let me trade them in for a whole different set. Recently I had them remove and re-attach all the charms on my bracelet which turned out great. For Christmas I received a new charm, when I went to have it attached, they did it within a few hours so when I returned it was completed. I also left my rings to be cleaned, I had other rings I hadn't purchased from Christopher Williams, but where I had them cleaned did a terrible job. I mentioned it to Tess, and she kindly took them and cleaned them for me. I appreciate the extra mile Tess does and the customer service I receive. Thank you.
