Tried his hand at online school and that did not work out. This place is wonderful and a Godsend. It is ultra casual with the teachers letting the students and parents call them by their first name. Have not met any administrators yet, but I assume Mr, Ms or whatever would be in order. The students work on two or three classes at a time and have packets that need to be completed in a timely manner since the courses move so quickly. (About 4-6 weeks for a class to be completed) Another point I love about this school is the school has the philosophy of prepping the students for college. Moreover, here is the kicker your child is doing good you get a phone call, of course you are contacted when work is not up to par. I am still floored that my child was on the honor roll last semester. If your child is not down with the typical high school experience, you may want to try this charter school.

After 15 full minutes she finally looked at me and while still on the phone asked me what I needed. I said we have an appointment at 1:00. She said, sorry, you're late. I said I have been standing here for 15 minutes. Even the other woman who was sitting in the lobby said yea she's been standing there for a while. Now they want me to reschedule for next week when I have taken the day off of work to come here.

Who somehow got Chaffey listed on a 'Top 10 public swimming pools near Rancho Cucamonga' if Chaffey seems not to have gone back to offering their pool to the public like they used to back when the giant pool was actual two giant-ish pools. I think you paid a couple dollars or something and got to use it until you tired out from it. It was great. Now I can't find anywhere with straight forward public pay-for swimming, and it doesn't help that the lists are full of places that have no reason to be on such a list, unless the goal is a devious one meant to screw with the heads of people like me. I have neighbors with pools, but I honestly don't like the idea of using anyone's pool that I'm neighbors with. Just don't feel comfortable with it, and I could try to explain why, but it's a personal thing that makes sense to me, and perhaps might or might not to you. It's too bad Chaffey probably underutilizes their pool now. How much pool action could they possibly have in an official capacity? Like 10% of the pool at most? That's such a waste.

Even though I had a great relationship…read morewith everyone at the school, I still want to give future students an honest perspective on the program. If you're looking for a program you can complete relatively quickly and you're willing to put in the time and effort to learn the trade, you can succeed here. However, from my experience, you will have to depend heavily on self-learning and help from classmates. I personally felt that the instructors in both the AM and PM classes could have been much stronger in the classroom and more hands-on in the lab. When I first entered the program, I knew absolutely nothing about the electrical trade, so most of what I learned came from putting in the time to teach myself, practice, and learn from my classmates. Another issue was materials. We would sometimes run short on electrical materials and have to wait a while for more to come in. Even when they finally arrived, the amount we were allowed to use was limited, which made it harder to get as much hands-on practice as we should have. I think future students should know is that job placement assistance was not what I expected. The school tells students that they will help with finding employment, and the website mentions "Job Placement Assistance," but in my experience, I had to do most of the job searching and applying on my own. My biggest piece of advice to future electrical students is: once you receive your ET card and OSHA 10, start applying immediately. Don't wait until graduation. Apply everywhere, email electrical companies directly, call companies, and go above and beyond to get your foot in the door. CET can give you an opportunity to enter the electrical trade, but you need to be consistent and willing to teach yourself, practice, ask questions, and actively pursue employment. Your success will depend heavily on how much effort you put into it.

The school approved a 90-day leave agreement. However, around day 82, before the agreed period ended, the school contacted me and informed me that my program was being shut down. They also stated that I would not receive my certificates and that I would still be responsible for outstanding fees and payments, despite the program being discontinued before I could complete it. I would not recommend this school. As a nonprofit organization, they often experience delays in receiving materials, sometimes taking two to three months. The staff's communication with students is unprofessional, and they do not provide meaningful assistance with job placement after completion.
