I was pleased to see they had numerous openings and I was able to schedule my appointment at a time convenient with my schedule. I was greeted with courtesy and professionalism upon arrival, and the check-in process was easy and quick. The clinical medical assistant was friendly and welcoming and best of all, the doctor I ended up seeing, Dr. Mena, was exceptional! She was communicative, attentive, and an excellent listener and made my visit feel as if it were "tailor-made". Overall, my interaction with those I encountered (front desk, medical assistants, the doctor, and laboratory techs) were positive. Best of all, I later found out that this clinic is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the community with passion, compassion and integrity, all of which were evident during my scheduled visit. I also appreciate that the practice offers mental health services in addition to primary care. After calling and leaving a message for clarification about a medical order, I never received a return call. When I called back later that day, I was simply told I needed to schedule an appointment to speak with the doctor. The office is over 30 minutes from my home, so it's not as if I can just stop by to resolve a communication issue. Like many large practices, everything goes through a call center, making it nearly impossible to reach the office directly. Florida has no shortage of medical providers. Customer service is what separates exceptional practices from mediocre ones, and this experience has been disappointing. I'm posting this in the hope that it gets the attention of the front office. I'll update my review if the situation is resolved.
