Reggae Reggae Vibes is my go to for Jamaican food on the go. The flavors hit every time, and it always seems to satisfy my Caribbean food cravings. I make sure to always stop here whenever I'm in Philly to take home. Just a heads up - this place isn't very quick, and there is usually always a wait.

This place has been on my to-try list for a while. As I was walking down the street, I stopped to look at the menu. I didn't realize I'd stopped in front of the ordering window. When a man opened the door, I took that as my sign that I needed to try it TODAY. I ordered a curry chicken platter with kale and collards and with rice and peas. The greens were my favorite; I ate them all right away. They used smoked turkey instead of pork to flavor them, which I prefer. I had enough chicken and rice/peas left for a second meal. The chicken was tender and falling off the bone. Rice and peas were good. I look forward to trying more from the menu - especially the weekend specials.

I order from this place alot. I get the Friday special BBQ beef short rib platter, and have called it my usual. I now have a new usual. The Oxtail cheesesteak is so good, if I was going to curse in joy about how good something is, it would be on here. You get a lot of meat and no bones on the cheesesteak, its so delicious. Now the price on their menu is $18, but be careful cause on Uber Eats it's charging $24. On their Online ordering website its $20. Just call and go pick it up for the least expensive way. And if you don't eat beef, their fall off the bone chicken cheesesteak is so good too. It's $13 on their menu, $15 on Uber Eats, and $13 on their Online Ordering. So it's a really good less expensive alternative if you want chicken rather than beef. Also for the picture, the roll is a bit soggy cause of the oxtail and cause I opened it after a half hour car ride so keep that in mind, and I had only lightly toasted my roll.

Some of the best Jamaican food I've had in Pennsylvania. Even ordering right before closing their food did not disappoint. Aside from the patties and the jerk chicken being awesome, the yams were phenomenal. Not too sweet, with just enough spices. Be sure to try the lemon poundcake also, didn't get a picture, but it was delicious.

Was craving Jamaican food while on my work trip in Philadelphia. Ordered this place off GrubHub and was not disappointed. I wish I would've known of it sooner!! The chicken was so good and the side of jerk sauce slapped! It was so spicy and garlicky. I absolutely loved it!!! It's nice to order from a place that doesn't automatically do rice as a side - I got the collards and plantains. The greens were the perfect texture and seasoning; not hard or over cooked at all. The plantains were sweet and were really good in the jerk sauce. I may order from here again before I leave next week.

I've tried this place at least 6 times over the past 3 years, so a review is overdue! Bomb food with friendly service. They are take out only but there's a couple tables on the curb. I've had their jerk chicken before and it was good. I personally don't prefer chicken. Oxtail is my go-to! Price has increased significantly, but I think it's still worth it to treat myself once in a while. Montego Bay Oxtails Stew with candied yams and Mac n cheese, along with a side of Steam Cabbage was 5/5. Don't walk, run to reggae reggae! Another fave was their jerk cheese fries (not pictured). OMGGGG. Whoever thought of jerk sauce on cheese fries, give that person a raise! Love that they packed the fries, jerk sauce, and cheese individually. I was able to airfry the fries to heat & crisp up before tossing in jerk sauce then pour cheese over. YUMMMM. Lastly, we tried their RRV Full House Hamburger and it was dry. We needed to add condiments at home. I would skip this. Overall, I rec!! Oxtail + jerk cheese fries yasss

I got the veggie wrap with cabbage because they ran out of callalloo and it was soooooo good. I've never had a wrap with plantain in it. Great vegetarian/vegan option.

Just wondering if the restaurant has any vegan items. Maybe a veggie patty? Or rice and beans? Thanks!!

While they have side dishes that appear to be vegan, I am unsure of their cooking method/oil use to ensure they are actually vegan

Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Cost to worth it rating: 3 Opentableable: no reservations Return worthiness: yes! Eve awards best cheesesteak of my life--still thinking about it Highlights: - The bread: a soft long roll with sesame seeds was a delight I didn't see coming. - Meat: was lightly seasoned but kept its pure flavor. Most cheesesteaks have such bland meat so this did it right - Cheese: melty coopers cheese was perfectly mixed in. - Onions: just the right soloing if grilled onions mixed in to complement the meat but not overwhelm it. - Size: monstrous! You can easily share (but you may not want to). - Fairly efficient: even with long lines, put your phone number in the kiosk, can pay with credit card, and wait til you are texted to pick it up. - For the whole family: my cranky teen son said it's the best thing he ate on our 23 day summer East Coast trip (including lots of great dining spots around Philly and NYC). Lowlights: - Waits can be long and brutal in heat. We got lucky with a shorter line. - No seating: just an ordering counter inside so many are eating out on the sidewalk.

Will keep this as short as possible…read more -The line will look worse than it actually is. It moves quickly. 70-90 people may only take you 15ish min to place your order. -Just get the cheesesteak, skip their other sandwiches. -The cheesesteak is amazing, it just, is. Some of their other food is not worth it. -Once you order, maybe another 10ish min for the food to come out. Absolutely worth it, been here twice now, and will come back over and over.

3.5 stars. Sorry,…read moreguys, this is another WAY overdue review from my 2015 visit before the name change from TONY LUKE'S. Took a short day trip to Philadelphia on Sunday, June 14, and had to try for the first time an authentic Philly cheesesteak sandwich. When in Rome, right? My cousin and family took me here, the original location of TONY LUKE'S, a mainstay for cheesesteaks in South Philly. The street-side sandwich shoppe had a a classic, no-frills neighbourhood stand vibe, featuring walk-up windows for counter-service. The dining room was a weather-protected, four-wall area with outdoor picnic tables. Tony Luke's covered a broad array of Old Philly Style Sandwiches from Roast Beef ($7.25 - $10.25) to Roast Pork ($7.00 - $9.00), Chicken Cutlet ($7.25 - $10.25), Rib-eye Steak ($7.75 - $9.75), Chicken Steak ($7.25 - $9.25), Hoagies ($7.25 - $9.00) to Specialty Sandwiches ($6.00 - $8.00). They also offered Side Orders, Fresh Sautéed Vegetables, Breakfast and Beverages. Accustomed to being served Philly cheesesteak sandwiches with provolone, grilled onion and green peppers in California (which I love), I was surprised to learn that the traditional cheesesteak from Philadelphia is composed of only thinly shaved ribeye steak, griddled quickly, chopped, and topped with lots of cheese (Whiz or otherwise) served on a soft, crusty hoagie roll. We ordered a Cheese Steak ($8.75) as well as a Cheese Steak Hoagie ($9.75), both of which were tightly wrapped long rolls in Tony Luke's wax paper. They were OK, neither knocked my socks off, unfortunately. My search for a mind blowing cheesesteak will continue when I return to Philly.

The Original Pat's King of Steaks is located in South Philly, specifically in the Passyunk Square neighborhood. It sits at the intersection of East Passyunk, South 9th, and Wharton. The building has many different signs and lights that will let you know that you are in the correct place. Since this is in the city, parking can be somewhat tricky. There are times I have had to circle around, or get whomever I was with to drop me off and have them come back. However, sometimes I have secured street parking not too far away. This will just depend on the time of day, and really the luck of the draw, if you are able to easily locate parking. This is an outdoor stand, meaning there is no inside to enter. You will order at the counter, and food is packaged to-go. However, there are some tables surrounding the building that you can dine at. They are all under the roof overhang, so you will be somewhat protected from the elements. On this day, it was not terribly busy. I really did not have to wait in any kind of line before being able to place my order. This was around 4:00 on a Saturday in September. First, I took some time to look over the menu posted near the sidewalk. There is also a helpful guide on "how to order a steak," for those that are unfamiliar. When it was my first time here, I actually found the humorous display very helpful. I placed my order for two classic Cheesesteak Wit, made with Cheez Whiz. When ordering, you specify if you want Wit (with onion) or Wit-Out (no onion). Given that I was wanting to try the most authentic sandwich I could, I opted for the onions and the traditional Cheez Whiz. My sandwiches only took a minute or so to be ready. As stated, it was not busy, and they are able to whip up these sandwiches rather quickly. I ended up taking my sandwiches to-go, and having them for meals the next few days. They reheat well, and have good flavor. I like having the onions on it for an added texture. Pricing is not terrible. Pat's is more expensive than Geno's by $2 for the same sandwich. My total was $36 after tax for the two sandwiches, making them $18 each. You definitely are paying for the experience and the novelty that is coming to this famous corner of Philadelphia. But, this price is not out of the ballpark of other places in the area. The sandwich is a decent size, and you can definitely get two meals out of it if you are eating it by yourself. So, all that considering, it is a fair value for what you pay. It seemed like most menu items were $20 or under. FYI, they take both cash and card. The staff are quick and efficient. However, it will not be the most friendly or pleasant experience, especially if you do not know how to order. I am not saying that the experience was poor by any means, but be aware that this is not Disney World and they will not be overly kind to you at the order window. Being from Pittsburgh, I had never had a true Philadelphia Cheesesteak sandwich until a few years ago when I visited for the first time. Since that trip, I typically make it a point to stop and get a few sandwiches to take back home with me. I enjoy coming to Pat's for the atmosphere, and the true taste of Philadelphia. I recommend giving it a try at least once, just to say you have had it. Plus, the sandwiches are pretty tasty, too. I will definitely be back here on future trips to South Philly.
