    Jerk Chicken Plate

Found this place on Maps while I was hungry at work. Located in front of Temple Hospital this food truck doesn't have all the bells and whistles to entice someone in. So normally i would have just walked right by, but seeing the reviews and photos online I decided to give it a try. And BOYY am I happy I did!! The food is DELICIOUS!! It's piled high, I actually forgot it came with rice till i was halfway through eating it. you def get a bang for your buck. I had a few questions in which the gentleman politely answered. As I was waiting for the food they were playing caribbean music which was nice. Another customer came up to order saying it was his first time coming to the stand. He's ordered from Grubhub before and had a week where he ordered every day, so they knew him by name. Very good food, very nice service, will defiantly be back! Also, PS: The jerk chicken was flavorful spicy not ima burn your mouth spicy. So Yum!

MY BELLY IS FULL. MY HEART IS FULLER. I'm actually shocked at how amazing everything was. When we ordered, we were told 20 mins and that's when we knew it was going to be dank because they were cooking everything fresh. Can't stress enough how great this place is. Honestly the boxes can probably feed you for two meals but we have no self control. Please get the jerk chicken and bbq salmon. Please.

Tracked down the truck outside of Temple hospital and it was so worth the journey. That jerk chicken cheesesteak changed my outlook on cheesesteaks and on jerk chicken. The chicken was so flavorful, so juicy and tender, and mixed with that cheese and bread...what a phenomenal combination.

The food was awesome. A tad bit dark inside. I mentioned this because all around on the walls visualizes our Black HISTORY, our Hebrew ancestry of our Last King of Ethiopia from 1930 to 1974 during his reign. He was FORCED to leave Ethiopia due to the Italian Inquisition featuring I think Mussolini, our lineage of our King Haile Selassie from the House of David and King Solomon the House of Judah and Queen Sheba was in front of my eyes. It took my breath, I had chills all over seeing our Hebrew writing and deciphering alphabets, and pictures. I was reading up on him just a few weeks prior to being at this restaurant. I been starving for knowledge of our Black history and needed to know about our race before SLAVERY since this country only wants us to think that our lives and history only started when our Ancestors, the slaves were kidnapped, taken away with necks yoked up, shackled, chained onto ships and left the African shores heading to 4 corners of the world. The history of Emperor Selassie is priceless. I encourage you to make it a point to check out Sheba's, if not for the good food, go for the knowledge. Knowledge Is Powerful. SMOOCHES

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!…read more Ice cream is one of those enigmatic desserts that I've eaten over 51 varieties of, had as mochi, ordered from out of store and bicycles, and even had with random ingredients like sriracha and bacon. But despite this there was just something about the prospect of having it deep fried and without the end result being a messy puddle that was kind of off putting. But even so there was just something about ordering from that custom surfboard menu and looking at their smiling logo with a cherry on top that made it hard to pass up. Especially when I read about their Astro-S'more: a variation of the campfire classic that deep fried vanilla ice cream in a brownie with graham cracker crust, and topped it off with fudge sauce and toasted marshmallows! The above result was as amazing as it sounds, but I think the even better result might have happened on my 2nd visit during the Newbold Blues Festival when I savored a fried green tea ice cream sundae with corn flakes, lavender cake, honey, and green tea pocky! Looking at the menu further reveals even more inspired sundaes like one that pays homage to your favorite breakfast cereals of yester youth, and another inspired by warm apple pie. They even have ICE CREAM PIEROGIES! Moon Dawg Sundaes being a mobile operation only means that you'll only find them at festivals and popping up at some of your favorite breweries. But when you see them, you'd best stop and enjoy some of Philly's best new dessert!

They also added two green tea pocky sticks. It was really delicious, the ice cream was creamy and the fried part was super well done. All of the flavors came together harmoniously and nicely. A very cute street food to get indeed. The one thing I think that has to be said is that it's definitely a littleee pricey for the portion size ($8 total for this lil eggroll-sized guy, I split mine with my partner and ate my half in an entire bite). I'd be really curious to try the other flavors for sure, but I just don't know if I'd want to dish out $8 each time for something I can eat in seconds. I do really love the taste and concept of this super creative fried ice cream that goes beyond just your standard carnival fried ice cream and would recommend you get it at least once.

The counter person said that this is the second place and the truck is on Broad Street. It was clean & everyone had on gloves, hair, and beard covers. Parking: street. It's very busy, so pack patience. Atmosphere: open and clean Service: The counter woman had a poker face as well as the cook. However, she greeted me a good evening. It would be nice to be greeted with a smile. Food: 1. Ordered the salmon roll. They have, I believe, three dipping sauces you can choose from. I chose Chipotle mayo. Another sauce was sweet chili. It was ok. By the time I went to eat the lobster rolls, they were soggy. I would like to see containers with holes to vent so that fried food doesn't get soggy. 2. Cheese fries with old bay seasoning were ok. The cheese sauce was cold. I think it should be kept warm, so once it's put on the fries, they won't drop the temperature. The total for the above was $20. The lobster roll was $12, so the fries were about $ I didn't have much. Overall, there wasn't an instant connection, but I'm willing to give them another try and choose something different.

Nice and meaty, very tender and flavorful. I'd give them 9/10. Cabbage was seasoned well. They get 8/10. Candied yams were delicious. Would definitely get them again! They get 10/10. Needless to say, I enjoyed my meal. I had enough for another meal the next day. The second time I ordered the Fried Chicken platter with candied yams, Mac and cheese and a side of collared greens. The fried chicken was just ok. It tasted like it wasn't freshly made and not seasoned. Maybe sitting around for a few hours. The chicken gets 6/10. The Collared greens were surprisingly good, with a mild taste of vinegar to give it a little kick. They were well seasoned and tender. The collars get 9/10. The Mac and cheese was just ok (if u don't know what good mac and cheese taste like.) The mac and cheese gets a 5/10. A little dry and not cheesey at all. Needless to say the yams were yamming again. Always my favorite, they get a 10! The delivery was fast and the food came hot and wrapped well to avoid spillage. The prices for a platter, range about $14-25 dollars with 2 sides. Any additional sides are $5. No real complaints. I love that they are pretty generous with the portions they give you. I would definitely order from Top Notch again. Probably try something different to go with my candied yams :)
