When you're in a service industry customer service should be very important and you should immediately greet your customers. They had a few lunch specials for the day. I decided to get the brown stew chicken with rice and peas and veggies to go. They did have a small dining area to sit and enjoy your food. Prices were reasonable and my food was delicious. We ordered jerk chicken and fish tacos, the chicken was cooked perfectly and had awesome seasoning, the side was rice and cabbage both equally delicious. We also ordered the fish tacos that had jerk seasoning they were good but the chicken was much better. The prices were reasonable my only complaint was the wait time, the server was friendly but they seemed short staffed, he was taking orders and working in the kitchen and taking orders, so our wait time was around an hour, just be sure you're not in a rush and you'll be fine! I ordered the oxtails they were delicious but for the price $22 the size of them was very disappointing I'm use to huge meaty oxtails theses were very very small I feel if they were that small they should have given a few more on the plate. The food was good! I didn't grab any pictures shucks!! It was super convenient to our hotel just across the street!! The prices were pretty standard for Jamaican food. The waitress was nice. There was a lil confusion upon entry because there was no one to greet you or instruct you on where to seat. Hopefully they'll add a sign that says "seat yourself" and for a simple quick fix! I am giving this two stars as the food was average - their sweet plantain side with a cream sauce is really good - however the "jerk" seasoning wasn't truly clear your throat...our experience of their lack of customer service made us not return. On our first visit we asked if the coconut pineapple cake was available and were told there were no desserts available. We asked when should we return as I had been craving pineapple coconut cake for weeks...we were told that she was baking the cake this evening and we could return in the morning when they opened at 11AM - we came back at 1230P to be told that they just came out and were being "frosted" and come back at 7P ~ came back at 735P to receive an attitude and told it wasn't ready and leave a number they could call ~ hubby was LIVID and said they lost our business. The worlds most pricey Beef Patties. 2 Beef Patties $8.42 I was told the pric3 and had to ask what was in it.

The food here is okay but certainly not worth the prices they're asking for. And the two times I've visited the guy who checked me out was rude and stand-offish. They jack up the prices because the tourist will pay for it but as a local I simple can not make this a go-to restaurant. $18 for an oxtail plate is highway robbery; especially considering I could get it for $13 at Ocho Rios Caribbean restaurant. The only reason I've visited this place was because Ocho Rios is temporarily closed because they're moving to a new location. (Sorry, idk where the new location is.) However, if you don't mind paying a bit of money to get average Jamaican food then this is the place for you. read more
