My wife and I are big fans of checking out microbreweries when we travel. We come to Destin with my extended family and like to get away for a little bit of alone time a couple times on our vacation. We decided to stop into the Destin Brewery when we were out running errands. It is just off the main strip so easy to find. There was a dedicated parking lot which is always a plus during high volume days in Destin. There was a good selection of beers, and also a limited food menu. We came to try the beer and the wagu hot dog! It's a really small spot inside but it's big on personality! Bree and Christine are killing it here! They are both super nice and super friendly.. told us they had the best pimento cheese and it's on the wagu beef hot dog! They weren't kidding cause after we had beer and hot dog we bought a small tub of it.. I don't like a lot of people's pimento cheese but there's was awesome! We sat outside in covered patio and Bree came out to check on us and asked if we wanted the gas lit in the fir pit table.. it was cool and wet out so yes please!! Updating because they have revamped the place since we visited a year ago. Still the same great service and beer but, definitely a fan of how they put in a bar on the inside vs. just a walk up from a year ago. It's impressive what they can do with a small space. Located on Mountain Drive in Destin sits Destin Brewery. We didn't sit at the newly installed bar or try their food yet again but we did get to sit outside and bask in the sunny Florida weather. We got our favorite the Blonde ale and another one I can't remember the name but, it was very refreshing for a warm spring day in Florida. This definitely remains one of our favorite breweries to come to in the Destin area. The ladies working were wonderful as always. read more

We found out about Destin Brewery after looking for local Oktoberfest's online. There were two others at the same time, but we chose Destin Brewery's because it was closer and there was not an entrance fee. There were a lot of people there when we went, but luckily we were able to find a table, and the lines for food and beer were not too long. Also there was live music which really added to the festivities. I ordered their Oktoberfest beer which they were offering for $5. It was good, but my favorite was their giant pretzel. It was served warm, and came with beer cheese sauce as well as dijon mustard. We really enjoyed their Oktoberfest, and will have to visit again when we are in town. read more

Fairly light beers, they do them well. Outdoorish seating with propane fire pits. As for the plastic cups mentioned in other reviews, when I was there they use those for samplers and glass for pours. Only there a couple of times so that might have changed. It was nice. You'll either like the beer or you won't. There wasn't a whole lot of personality that was evident in the place and that may be a positive or negative for you. read more

Super quaint brewery on mountain road in Destin. Hours during the winter are 1-7pm Thursday- Saturday. Happy hour is 4-6Pm with an amazing food truck. Beers specials change daily. Fun and lively vibe. Definitely a great local hangout. The food truck is amazing. It's the best Caribbean food I've ever had. They will need more seating area because this is such a fun place. We found this little brewery while vacationing in Destin, after winning the trip on The Price is Right! The first time we went, which of course means we were there more than once, one of the brewers was working the bar and more than accommodating to explain the beers and offer up some suggestions on other local spots to try out while we were in town. We ended up going back every day we were in town and found the beertenders to be a great source of information and the clientele were all super friendly. A very nice little brewery turning out some good beers. We did the works which was 4 oz of every beer that had. I'm not a fan of Kolschs but theirs was my clear favorite to date. The grapefruit IPA was my favorite. Their East Pass IPA - a flagship beer - is solid. The operation is quite small so it's pretty cool place to drink beer. Of all the areas in Destin that have changed in the 10 years Destin Brewery shines as the best new scene that I encountered. Located off the touristed beach scene and busy Highway 98 Destin Brewery escapes the bustle of tourist traps and stays true to its quiet, relaxed culture that locals love. The atmosphere has the feeling of the classic small-town brewing operation in a warehouse that beer aficionados will be familiar with - the large beer vats named "Big Bertha" and "Large Marge," high table seating, corn hole boards & bags for friends and kids, and dart boards on cheap wooden panels. But the new take here is the authentic beach town spirit that pervades the Brewery. You can smell the sea breeze from the outdoor and indoor. Music and TV wasn't blaring or trying to distract from guest conversations. The quiet, stoic bartender wasn't pushing to oversell beers, tasters, or cans for the beach. To that end Destin Brewery excels at their fruit cerveza-style beers that are perfect for the beach. The blood orange blonde tastes citrus-y & refreshing and wheat-sweet at every sip. The gose missed out on the lime flavor of a true margarita but tasted salty which is perfect if you like that palette flavor but can taste a bit like seawater. Their flagship beer, the East Pass IPA also holds its own as a solid IPA which tastes sweeter than others in its hoppy peers. I whole-heartedly endorse a visit to this brewery as perfect for adults & for a casual outing with the family. Really enjoy their selection. Their customer service is top notch. I go each week and it seems like something new is being offered. Most recently they debuted their Raspberry Chocolate stout and it was delicious. My two go to beers are Destin Ale and Emerald Coast Kolsch. When I'm feeling adventurous I'll order a pint of the Red Sky Rye. When I want to treat myself I go for a sniffer of Hot Mama, Bourbon Barrel Ale. They seem to be doing a lot experimenting so if you're looking for something funky this is a place that might have it. read more

But be warned, the service was mediocre at best. We were the ONLY 2 people and I had to ASK the brewer for service and ANY recommendations or info on the brewery. He literally pointed at the changing video menu on the wall. He might as well have just grunted and pointed. He would rather play on his phone. Dude, go to a REAL small time, local brewery ANYWHERE and learn how it's done. You are doing YOUR establishment a huge disservice. read more

Such a friendly staff!! The location is "hidden" in a cluster of warehouses so if you think you aren't at the right place just pull into the parking lot and look for the cornhole boards! Their IPAs are good but not memorable. The taste is as described but weak. They are "frail" or something. Just no real character to them. Puny in flavor with no real mouth feel at all. The Stout the same but it is the one that boosted the rating from 3 to 4. While not having a roar it does have a stout taste even if a bit muted. Thin though witout mouth feel. Best of a weak lineup. Mediocre at best, which is shocking. The tasting room is cozy and offers a good view of the brewery but that's where the charm ends. We tried striking up a conversation with the two presumed employees by asking questions about the history of the brewery but instead ended up with curt one word answers as if we were bothering them. The customer service really lacked that day. As for the beer, it is ok, not good, not great. Their standard offering (flagships) aren't anything special. I've had homebrew that was better. The IPA had a slight diacetyl note to it that was off-putting. The one-off beers are better than the flagships. They do a good job of adding fruit and spices to their beers which I guess is something to grow on. I just don't see how so many local places are carrying their beer. I guess it has something to do with lack of competition. read more

This place can be a tad hard to find but it is in a great location - one street behind the main strip in Destin. It is set in an industrial location but it works - just make sure to drive slow so you do not miss it! The beers were pretty good - I prefered the non-staple selection of beers they had. Overall a pretty good quality beer and would recommend giving this place a try. I ordered a flight and unfortunately the Brews were not my favorite (Not bad by any means!) - but that is personal preference. The others in my party liked their selections - they also did flights of different selections than me. I will definitely give this place another try. read more

I have followed them on social media and decided it was time to visit my next trip to Destin. We own 2 condos in Destin, so it's easy to get behind a local brewery. The brewery craze has exploded over the years and am glad to see someone in Destin run with it. I have moved my beer drinking from 30As to Destin Ales. Cool lil brewery in the heart of Destin.
