Brewery #379 This was a lot bigger brewery than I expected with a huge tap list. The outdoor seating area was large enough to compete with the big box breweries. There were 2 food trucks when I went and a ton of people hanging out. I got a flight which is 5 beers here. I could have gotten 5 flights and I don't know if I would have been able to try them all. I did get a decent variety, a hazy IPA, a Pale Ale, a Hefe, a Stout and a Mullet Lite. What a great name for a beer lol. The The Alora Farming Double hazy IPA was my favorite amongst the 5 but all were solid. I've also bought a 4 pack of Dank Side of the Moon (another hoppy hazy IPA) and that one was phenomenal! My sister and brother in law enjoy coming here so we finally stopped in to see what it was all about. We get it. The brewery is so amazing. They have a great outdoor seating area with a food truck and a play area for kids. I believe dogs are welcome just not allowed in the turf. When we went inside to grab drinks, the bar staff was so kind and polite. The gentleman was patient with us while we asked to try a few samples and was even open to feedback! We took an afternoon trip to Niceville to check out 3rd planet. It did not disappoint. Great beer selections from lights to darks. They have some inside seating and a lot of outside seating. Large stage for music and space for kids to run around. Bartender was bubbly and friendly. We got a pizza from food truck. It's was ok. Wouldn't eat it again. When we were leaving another lady was setting up what looked to be a hot dog truck. We will return. read more

One of the coolest breweries I've been to in a long time... 3rd Planet was absolute fire... What a cool atmosphere/venue, friendly service, great crowd, but most importantly, outstanding beer (especially the IPAs). It's a vet owned business, so it has a lot of community support... It was slammed on a Tuesday night, but customers get beers quickly and they keep good food trucks on site. We had the German concession (Taste of Germany), and it was fantastic. When down in the FWB/Destin/Niceville area, 3rd planet is a "must stop" if you like good craft beers. read more

My wife and I frequently vacation down here in the Destin area. Since this brewery is so close to VPS airport, we frequently come here prior to our flights home. This brewery is also very popular at the local taprooms and restaurants. The space is large, with a small, smaller indoor area, a cool and heated outdoor patio, a band and turf area, and a large pavilion with plenty of picnic tables. Great brewery that is about 30 minutes from Destin. The hazy IPA I got was really good and the blueberry sour my girlfriend got was great as well. This place has a great outdoor space and the adults can enjoy a beer while the kids run around and play. We had a smash burger from the food truck that was there and it was delicious. The last brewery stop in Niceville. My friend was hesitant to come but I convinced my friend last one and not far from Strange Colt. We went and it was also tricky to find. We had to go on a road behind a business to find it and sure enough we did. This one has a very nice outdoor venue for food trucks and live music. The inside wasn't busy beings everyone was outside for food trucks and music. I only got one beer my friend didn't get anything but a water or coke beings they were driving. Bartenders were friendly but not as talkative as some of the others at the other breweries. I'm not offended because I'm sure some are social butterflies while others take their job seriously. That's how it seemed here is that everyone takes their job seriously and that's not a bad thing. We were both kinda tired and hungry and probably would've enjoyed it more here but we had a long drive back to Destin. Hopefully we can come back and maybe make this a first stop instead of last. We stopped at 3rd Planet for lunch and a beer. Luckily for us they had "Brew Dogs" for lunch. They had a regular hot dogs and chili dogs. Other than some great snacks, including Dots Pretzels, they don't have a full food menu. The location was pretty easy to get to. The facility was awesome. Plenty of space to spread out and the outdoor area was even better. They are pet friendly, but pets, make sure you have your owner on a leash at all times! The service was good too. Very willing to let us sample beers and offered advice for what we might like. There were more than 30 beers on tap and they have growlers, crowlers, and several canned options for beer to go! Literally have three different categories of beer price wise with at least four in each category then they have guest items like seltzer, cider, beer etc. They also have items for shipping and take home beer options. Once a fun family friendly environment has turned rather gestapo-ish with making sure your kids are constantly under your thumb boundaries are kept and dogs now are seemingly unwelcome. If you're interested in not so great beer and a now depressing atmosphere where you can no longer enjoy a pint while your kids have a little space to run, and your mutts can be socialized while on leash- have at it. But, sadly this place is no longer a family friendly place. It's turning into a yuppie joint- they've obviously forgotten where they came from. 10/10 wouldn't recommend. After a long leg of road tripping along the panhandle coast along 98 I turned north to Niceville to visit one last park to grab a beer and find lodging for he nigh. 3rd Planet was rather busy, fortunately I was able to grab a table and get a beer rather quickly as at the bar one person was taking orders and the other were getting beers poured. The atmosphere was nice and festive, there were multiple areas to sit and a food truck. The dirt parking lot was a bit difficult to navigate in the dark and there appeared to be construction going on in the area as well. I enjoyed visiting and recommend it. read more

We're originally from Houston and decided to try this brewery. They have a huge selection on tap. I enjoyed their pineapple cider beer and 2 other sours (didn't get them names) but both were great. They have a nice play area for the kids. I didn't get the food name of the food truck that was there but we ordered wings and their tuna dip both were so good. They recently started enforcing the "no kids in the adult-only area" rule, finally. The unsupervised children running around screaming (in the section clearly marked adult-only, at that) is one of the main reasons we stopped going, but it looks like they finally fixed it. Unfit parents will hate it I'm sure, but hey - this is a brewery, not a daycare. I especially like that they have some rotating draft lines to try out some experimental stuff. There are usually a few guest beers to try as well. But best of all, we have our area back without screaming unattended children! read more

This is a good spot to meet up and have a beer. They have a wide selection, and a variety of styles. There was also a decent mix of locals and tourists. The beers were good, the boggy bayou was a personal favorite, and they had several others to go as well. There was plenty of room to spread out so you could still "go out". The merch is reasonably priced and they also had a good variety. I'd probably spend way too much time here if I was a local. We made the sojourn from Miramar beach on 2/26 with a couple of friends. I had been drinking Dank Side of the Moon from a can and wanted to experience it from the source. Great experience all around. All of the beers were excellent and it was nice to sample a few barrel aged offerings. Also noticed a nice array of guest taps. Taco truck was superb (they have a different truck daily). This was by far the coolest spot in Niceville that we visited. Being from Portland we are of course opinionated when it comes to beer... they did not disappoint! "Dank Side of the Moon" & the "West Coast Hipster" were well balanced and really highlighted the great hops they used (Citra , Mosaic, Centennial & El Dorado - hope I got that right!).
