I came across SHOP CA Brokers when I was searching for Covered CA and reading up about the new Obamacare plans that are going on sale October 1, 2013. There were only two reviews on Yelp for SHOP CA Brokers but I figured it was worth giving them a call since on their website stated some of the brokers have over three decades of experience. I called SHOP CA Brokers and the process was simple. I'm very thankful I called. Ron was the agent that assisted me. He was very helpful and more importantly, patient with me. I had so many questions and he took the time to answer every one of them. In the end I do not qualify for a subsidy for Covered CA since I make more than $44k/year. However I was still able to find a fantastic $30/1500 Kaiser medical plan. This medical plan allows me office visits for $30 and an Rx card for $10/35 copays. Then if something major happens I can pay a $1500 deductible and have copays thereafter. This plan is great for me as the monthly premium did heavily weigh in my plan selection. Give SHOP CA Brokers a try, you will not be disappointed!

Obamacare is a wonderful thing for people who have lost their health insurance coverage through a company layoff (like me) but it is truly impossible to navigate all the choices, plans and rules and regulations! I used to work in healthcare and I couldn't figure it all out!! Arman was a Godsend, helping me to navigate this tricky and exhausting process! I got covered, I got my government subsidy, and I got the health plan that I needed. Kudos to Arman and his agency! They are truly helpful and know that they are doing. I can't thank him enough!

I'd recommend anyone reading this to contact her.

I recommend speaking to Zack about insurance for your business. The process is free and painless.

They've always been incredibly accommodating and after my first year with them, tax time no longer made me want to curl in the fetal position in the back of my closet. Beyond knowing I'm getting the best return possible...I've also constantly been impressed with how they embrace technology. From my first year, physically dropping off copies of receipts and w-2s to uploading scanned images to an FTP server, to investigations into online form submittable...theyre always looking for ways to improve the overall experience. Even payment can be done online. They always make time to answer questions...and to make sure the entire process is transparent so you know where you are in the process. Jason specializes in the self-employed such as myself and small businesses. He is not only handling the filing aspects for me throughout the year, but he offered to inform me about my IRA options to build a retirement fund, etc. After getting him the information he needed, he provided a guesstimate so I would know what to expect. I was surprised at his fee compared to all my years of filing for free with Turbo Tax, but he's going to save me so much more than I ever could have on my own, he will more than pay for his services with what I saved, and I might even see some considerable cash coming my way. All in all, I am really grateful that I don't have to worry about Uncle Sam anymore... and that is practically priceless : )

I reached out to them after my brother-in-law's mom suggested after she spoke to some friends that also have multi-family rentals in SF and she said they were able to not only get them a great policy but actually lower than what they had before which is very difficult in this environment we are in. I was hesitant at first thinking it is not possible to get a better policy/price and just accepted how crazy expensive insurance are nowadays. Alejandra was very meticulous and professional. We would have gone with her on 3 of our properties as she was able to save us about $19k off what we were paying the current year. Due to time issues and not having the required information needed from the insurance company, we were not able to bind with them and just went with our current broker even though we were paying slightly more. I wished I would have communicated better with her as she definitely displayed care and knowledge in this industry. For SF multi-family rental operators, do yourself a favor and give her a call as you will not be disappointed. If you have been with your insurance broker for as long as we have been with ours, it pays to shop around as we were able to save ten of thousands with just this experience. If given another chance, I would love to work with her again. Alejandra, I know you put in a lot of work and effort and I really appreciate this experience. Thank you and All the best!

I've been working with George Bourekas and his staff for years. Norbay Insurance services comp…read more provides Commercial Liability insurance for my small construction business company and personal needs. I was satisfied with the service in the beginning, but I have been greatly disappointed for the past three years. It seems as if George Bourekas has become "TOO Comfortable" with his business after building up a sizeable client base and generating a sizeable commission. Every year, we must renew our Liability insurance and home insurance, and it is the insurance agent's responsibility to walk me through the insurance application. George has stopped doing this lately. After a dozen years of being a loyal customer and always thinking I had good coverage and rates, I was foolishly trusting that George Bourekas was always "shopping" for the best rate for me. Instead, I was losing a lot of money from my pocket. It took me making one call for identical coverage to find out that it was half the price!! Plus, there were various coverage issues with some of the policies. I wish that I would have switched sooner. I stayed far too long, which lost me a lot of money. This is all because of my brokers George Bourekas misrepresentations, who was not doing his job correctly, carefully or morally. I Do Not recommend Norbay Insurance services, Inc .
